Hanzo 5th Stage: Battle of Nagashino Requirements: complete the castle defense missions, defeat Katsuyori, and get 200 kills in 10 minutes. Helpful Hints: For starters, if you have Awakening level 3, take it off. It'll do you very little good here. As well, if you're using his 4th weapon, you might want to change the element or refrain from using charge attacks except for his C5. And make good use of his special skills. As well, you'll need to work fast as Hanzo isn't that great at clearing mobs. Name: Sudden Death Element: Ice Stats: Atk: 55; Life: 38; MuCh: 50 Yoshihiro 5th Stage: Conquest of Kyushu Requirements: Within 7 minutes, succeed in the two ambush attacks (Hidehisa Sengoku and Tachibana Ginchiyo) and get 300 kills. Helpful Hints: This should be no problem for Yoshihiro. Just make sure to pull back when it tells you or you won't get the weapon. And make good use of his level 3 musou attack. It is much more useful against peons and generals alike. Name: Disintegrator Element: Fire Stats: Life: 58; Mus: 52; Rng: 35 |

Added some of the missing weapon names, elements and stats which Gtown provided. Also, this may sound weird, but I'm not planning to add XL characters' 4th and 5th weapons until I get the game myself. Otherwise I would get too many spoilers and I don't want that to happen >_>. Another mod can add them to my guide, though. |

Woohoo I was able to obtain several of the weapons in the game.
 Hanzo Hattori 5th: Sudden Death Base Attack: +44 Element: Ice Basically getting this weapon is easy, just do the first 2 missions which is defend the garrsions, and also get 200 kills and defeat Katsuyori Takeda within 10 mins. Lucky the red box appears near to where Katsuyori is about to start his escape. The 5th weapon is an ice elelment, I replaced it with the demon effect to match its 5th weapon name Sudden Death. Oh and I did use Awakening 3 and Chained Dragon with its Demon effect so basically I had no problems with it. :ph43r: Kojiro Sasaki Obtaining his 4th weapon requires speed and several pausing. When I first did this I missed the weapon box by several seconds. Thats because there was so much conversation betweeen characters it sort of eats up the time. By the way this state was Chaos in Kyoto. All I have to do is make Musashi appear iin 10 mins. Just let Tokugawa escape, and quickly defeat the Vagabons until somewhat Kiyomasa Kato appears, the moment Hideyori apeears I quickly go for the imposter to make the other one appear. Defeating Yukimura is not a requirement. Be fast, when you reach the other Hideyori, that would be Musashi. If you can do this within 10 minutes the weapon box will appear near the mid North Eastern area. Then just simply defeat Musashi. :lol: Kojiro Saski 5th: Eternal Sleep Element: Ice If you have the 4th weapon you are most likely to become a winner and master swordsman. All you have to do is make Nobunaga Oda appear within 12?50 of the time the stage started. Kojiro has a deadly combo of using ice to freeze opponents and using its musou to really finish the officer away. I just started South then worked all the way counter clockwise all the way to where the Vagabond is which is last. If Nobunaga appears within 12:50 of the gameplay the red weapon box will appear at the center of Komaki-Nagakute. Last but not least you must defeat Oda and last Musashi.  Soon for me Gracia's 4th and Motochicka Chosokabe's 4th weapon

Ina: Celestrial Archer Base Attack: 44 Element: Fire LIFE+18 LIFE+18 LIFE+15 DEF+20 DEF+19 DEF+16 MuCh+20 MuCh+17 ------------------- The Battle of Kuzegawa Defeat Yoshihiro Shimazu & Ginchiyo Tachibana without losing any allied officers. Ok, here's what I did: Head straight for Tamehiro Hiratsuka & Yukinaga Konishi, and defeat them. Yoshihiro & Toyohisa Shimazu will appear after this; head straight for them and defeat them. Then, help your stranded allies in the center so they don't die. After a while, Ginchiyo will appear near the southeastern garrison. Head for her and defeat her. After you defeat her, you'll get the "Valuable Item Discovered" message. The weapon appears in the southeastern garrison, so you don't have to go far. -------------------------------------------------------- Nobunaga Oda: Muramasa Base Attack: 46 Element: Death/Demon (I can't remember what it's called.) MUS+20 MUS+19 MUS+18 MuCh+20 MuCh+19 RNG+20 RNG+19 RNG+18 ------------------- Incident at Honnoji Rescue Nobutada Oda and defeat 400 enemies. The weapon achivement part is easy. It's keeping your allies alive that will be a pain. Head for Nobuharu Tsuda and defeat him. (I defeated 100 enemies at this point) Now, head for Nobutada Oda. Defeat the officers around Nobutada to complete the rescue mission. Then, head back to your start position (where Noh & Ranmaru are at) and defeat the rest of your required enemies. The weapon appears in the northwestern part of the map, in a mini-maze. But you're not finished. If all of your allies die, you lose and you have to do this over again. Chances are, the only officers left on the map are Nobutada, Noh, & Ranmaru. I recommend making Nobutada your #1 priority over the other officers since if you save him from danger he won't be doing any constant fighting like the other 2. So if you have the option to save him over the other 2, take it. You'll thank me when Ranmaru & Noh get defeated by Mitsuhide. Quickly defeat Mitsuhide, and the weapon is yours. --------------------------------------------------------------- I know Nobunaga's was already posted, but I posted it anyway because I don't want to feel like I wasted my time writing all of the requirements and weapon info out. Not to mention I posted a strategy. I probably won't be finding out any more, as I'm getting DW6 tomorrow and I'm gonna put SW2XL on hiatus. |

Some people may have hard time with weapons even if they know the exact requirements, so walkthroughs with hints and tips are always welcome. Thanks for the contribution, everyone. I'll add those weapons as soon as I can, excluding SW2XL weapons of course... |

Masamune 5th Battle: Osaka Campaign Requirements: Witin 12 minutes, escort the cannon to the front gate and defeat Hideyori. Helpful Hints: you'll want to have Date relatively buffed for this stage because Yukimura is no joke. Also, having his 4th already wouldn't hurt. Other than that, do the missions as quickly as possible and bring a horse. Hideyori will try to make a run for and if he escapes, you lose. Name: Hell's Dragons Element: Ice Stats - Atk: 38; Def: 38; Lck: 37; Rng: 34 Shingen 5th Battle: Shingen's Dream Requirements: Defeat Nene, Kanamori, Yoshihiro (2nd time), Ranmaru, and Mitsuhide within 4 minutes of their appearance. Helpful Hints: DO NOT go into the garrison with Yoshihiro. So far, this is the only weapon where it is almost essential to have two players. Send them in and wait for Yoshihiro to show up. Nene and Kanamori will show up a while before him so just take of them when they appear. And Shimazu will call for Mitsuhide and Ranmaru. And make sure not to kill Yoshihisa, it will end the stage. Name: Furin Kazan Element: Fire Stats - Life: 56; Atk: 55; Mus: 18; MuCh: 19 Motochika 4th Battle: Battle of Kuzegawa Requirements: Within 8 minutes close the eastern escape route and defeat Ina, Hanzo, Kojiro, and Tadakatsu. Helpful Hints: Before the mission to close the escape route will show up, you must kill at least one general and listen to Sakon ramble. So just pause through that and get moving. Kojiro will show up right above the escape point so just take care of him then. Immediately after Ina, Hanzo, and Tadakatsu will show up. Make quick work of them and you've got the weapon. P.S. Make sure to keep you're allies alive or you'll lose the stage. Name: Golden Ginkgo Element: Lightning Stats - Mus: 38; Def: 18; MuCh: 35; Rng: 51 Motochika 5th Battle: Motochika's Dream Requirements: Within 4 minutes defeat northern cannons and get 150 kills. Helpful Hints: As soon as the stage starts head for the cannons. Technically they're in the middle of the stage, you'll need to defeat the one that Hideyoshi is guarding. If you have an ice weapon, this will be a peace of cake with his level 3 musou attack. After that, unleash your wrath on enough peons and you've got your weapon. Name: Fatal Echo Element: Shura Stats - Life: 55; Def: 53; Lck: 36 Nene coming soon.... And corrections made to Hanzo and Yoshihiro.

Ok i haven't seen Okuni's 5th weapon requirements anywhere so here it is: Okuni 5th Survival Mode 71+ floor, do "Calling All Warriors" and defeat Okuni at top. Where is box? : Defeat Okuni to get it. i got this from gamefaqs.com, i was hopping someone here already has it!! coz call me Crazy but i don't remmenber a "Recruit officer" mission. can anyone check this please just to make sure!! i tried it but by mistake i did a soft reset when i was about to start the 70 + floors because there was no Recruit Officer mission to by found!! Thanks in advance!! |

I can't remember the missions's name, but it's the one where Okuni tells you to recruit warriors on each floor. When you reach the top, you face bandits (their leader is Marauder) and you must defeat them with Okuni and allies who joined your team. |

I have a question: How can one get Oda's 4th weapon from Samurai Warriors 2 XL without having to start all over. Tosh Maeda doesnt even appear in the stage anymore and I already obtained several 5th weapons. I dont want to start over! Help

I don't think the lack of Toshiie will be a problem. Just make sure you manage to rescue all allies before they are defeated by enemy troops. They should be Hideyoshi, Katsuie and 3 Generics. |

LoW, Thanks. I got the weapon! I have 1 more question if you don't mind. Or to those who are knowledgeable in obtaining Kotaro's weapon. It is about Kotaro's 5th weapon and I have trouble getting it. I've tried at least 10x but to no avail. I escorted Hanzo and his mission because it seems to be the only way to activate the "stop the cannons" mission. After escorting Hanzo, I went straight to the cannons. Now, I dont remember hearing Honda saying the cannons need to be stopped but I did get the mission nonetheless. I defeated the guy that guarded and I successfully stopped the cannons. Next, I went up and ignored the two officers (they hold the key to opening the gates for Honda) and I just went straight to Tokugawa and rescued him (of course waiting for the mission to appear first). Afterwards, I went down to the southpass and i got the mission to defeat the officer there to let Naomasa come in. I did and then I went near Ina but before i rescued her, I decided to get 400+ kills and then attempt to go and rescue her. After getting 400 kills, I saved Ina and then for whatever reason, the 5th weapon does not appear ever.... Please help again =( and yes, I'm doing this on hard. |

LoW, Yes. I made sure my allies are alive. Usually I achieved the "escort hanzo", "stop cannons", "save tokugawa", "south pass", and "save ina" before both naomasa and yasumasa appear.... Something is wrong... Is there a time limit? What am I doing wrong =\.. |

Just some random comments here. In case alot of you guys haven't noticed, there are a boat load of absolute crappy weapons this time around. That is the sole reason that weapon edit was added. And just a general tip, if you can afford it DO NOT learn Awakening 3. It destroys the usefulness of musou attacks. |

I heard a rumour that there's a 6 minutes time limit but I'm not sure about that. Also, apparently you don't need to complete 'Escort Hanzo' mission, so you can just ignore him. I don't unfortunetly have the game yet, so I can't confirm any requirements. I hope someone else is able to give you a hand, though. |

I finally got Kotaro's 5th weapon. It was totally unexpected since I was trying to get 400 KOs and all of the missions in under 6 minutes. Which I might add IS PROBABLY IMPOSSIBLE to do. So don't expect to do this all in under 6 minutes and stress over it like I did :lol:. Kotaro Fuuma 5th: Infernal Fists Base Attack: +45 Element: Lightning Stats: Attack +52, Defense +52, Speed +33 Stage: Kotaro's Insurrection Requirements: Get Hanzo's mission, Stop the Cannons, Open the Gates(MAYBE but it is good to do it because you rack up kills this way and it's more CONVENIENT to go from the main gate to Tokugawa and then finally, Ina), Save Tokugawa, Save Ina, and get 400 KOs in less than 11 minutes. What I did: I basically killed the first guy upstairs. I went down the stairs and killed the first officer outside (make sure you rack up some kills). Then comes the important part. You need to go where Hanzo is to activate the escort mission. From my experience ( I played this like 10x+ until i got it), if you go straight to where the cannons are and not Hanzo's position, the chances of the mission to stop the cannons coming up is slim to none (probably none). So make sure when you kill the first guy outside, you go around and meet up where Hanzo is and rack up some kills along the way. Once it tells you that you need to escort him, you can just go out of your way to the cannons and stop it. After I stopped the cannons, I interim save and decided to kill the two guards that guard the main gate. After killing them and racking up kills again, I went where Honda was and went straight to Tokugawa. I waited until the mission activated and then I rescued him. Next, I did not go to the south pass to kill the officer because it is not needed and I would not recommend you going there because I believe there is a time limit and I did this around 50 minutes or so in the end. Thus, I went straight to Ina and rescued her from the two officers. I did not have 400 KOs yet but I was nearing it. So I decided to go where one of the main 'condition' guys is located (not DATE MASAMUNE), and pretty much got my 400 KOs there. Surprisingly, I got the 5th weapon and I immediately checked my time and it was 50 something minutes left. I hope this helps and thanks to LoW who pretty much gave me a much better 'higher expectation' goal of doing all of this in under 6 minutes XD |

No worries. I'll get the game today and then I can start adding the missing 5th weapons. There's just one problem, though... my friend still has my SW2 disc which means I can't get the weapons immediately. But I have one question regarding XL characters' 5th weapons: Is SW2 disc required in order to get them? It may sound weird, but I think that's what Hell G. mentioned in one of her posts long time ago. |
