Voting time again.... though in all honesty I was extremely peeved by the turnout of the last poll... Ueda Castle in SW1 is a bit repetitive in my opinion, and it really doesn't suit the battle that much. I eh it. K-N in SWXL was one of my favorite songs, so when I heard the remix in SW2XL I just loved it even more! After Tedorigawa its my 2nd favorite track in SW2. Shikoku's track is kinda funny to listen to, not because of the slight repetitiveness. The fact that the shamisen is played in all its glory kinda makes the track the theme song of the awesomeness thats Chosokabe Motochika. I'll give it an awesome. |

Ueda Castle SW1: I was bopping away to it for the duration of the stage. Bit repetitive though. K-N SWXL: Really suited the stage. Pretty "groovy". |

Shame that the new K-N SW2XL remix doesn't even play on its respective stage.... |

Shikoku...not having played SW2XL, am I right in thinking that this is the track titled 'Raging Waves'? I don't see any other that would fit. I'll withhold judgement on the other two until I find out. P.S. I don't suppose you noticed that you got the number wrong in the title? P.P.S. Sorry for the late response to the last poll...I havent been on the KW forums much in the last few days, so... |

Yeah... I noticed that I mistyped. It should be PART 14... I wish I could change it... What about the Ueda Castle and K-N tracks from SW1? Surely you have played those? Also what about K-N's remix? Surely if you heard Anegawa's lackluster remix you would have heard this one too... |

Sorry, you misunderstand me. I've downloaded the soundtrack for SW2XL from Koei Warriors; but not played the game. I was asking if the Shikoku battle theme is the song titled 'Raging Waves' in the download...I'm not sure if you know or not, but I figured I'd ask. And when I said I'd withhold judgement, I meant only that I'd wait so that I can rate them all together...I do know about Ueda's and Komaki's themes. Sorry for the confusion. |

OK no problem. The song is indeed called Raging Waves. If your gonna wait though, its gonna take a long time since SW2Xl won't be out in America till March. |

You misunderstand me...again. I wanted to wait for your response so that I knew what I was rating. Thanks for your swift reply, anyway. I'll rate them shortly. Watch this space. EDIT: Ueda Castle: As a standalone soundtrack...it's pretty rubbish. As a battle-theme combination...it's still rubbish. I just find it boring, and for what was actually quite an important battle if I remember rightly, it provides no suitable backdrop at all. I much prefer the generic Siege theme from SW2 for the stage. It's an 'Eh...' from me too. Ueda Castle: 4.6/10 Komaki-Nagakute: Personally, whichever version you listen to, it's one of my favourite soundtracks from both DW and SW series. Like Warriors Orochi's Samurai Scanners, it's just a fantastically upbeat, dancey, exciting theme. As to which version I prefer, it's extremely tight. SWXL's version was great, SW2XL's version improved it in places and also spoiled it slightly in other bits... My vote was for SWXL, although I haven't had to make such a tough choice in any of the previous 13 parts. Komaki-Nagakute: 9.2/10 Komakinagakute ~Sengoku2mix~: 9.2/10 (yes that's right, they're even) Shikoku: Forgive me if I talk rubbish a bit here, I can't really rate the battle-track combination as I haven't played the battle or anything like it...as far as the track itself is concerned, it's alright. Not great, although the idea of what's largely a single-instrumental piece is interesting, and that helps to go towards forgiving a slight lack of excitement and adrenalin. It's OK, from what I know so far. Raging Waves: 7.0/10 |

Well, since you posted I'll go ahead and add my thoughts in a new post to bump the topic
Ueda Castle, IMO, is one of those tracks that I can listen to once and then immediately forget about when I walk away. I can't much comment on how it blends with gameplay since I no longer have SW. I can only judge based off of OST. I gave it an OK as a result. Komaki-Nagakute SW:XL is a great track and KOEI went and made it better for SW2:XL. I can remember playing a lot of Komaki-Nagakute in SW and could find no fault in how it blends with gameplay. I can only assume that the SW2:XL remix follows suit. I chose Komaki-Nagakute SW2:XL Remix. Shikoku, as I mentioned previously, is an awesome track. I love the shamisen melodies and have seen gameplay videos of Motochika in this stage and I thought everything went well together. I can listen to this over and over and not get tired of it. I rank this just below SW1 Anegawa on my favorite SW tracks list. I'm certainly not as detailed as Lord Cao Cao, but hopefully this still contributes to the discussion

Xalfrea, HARDLY ANYONE understands how to vote in the poll. I reccomend you make a large note about it in your posts or something. Just look at the votes for K-N! |

I'm meekly aware of the voting situation, problem is I don't know how to explain it. |
