which book is your favourite, and why, also, what level is it at. My favourite is swords, since they got some damn useful units in that, and mine is at level 54...i think, well its around there |

swords are the most versatile considering all the types out of it, and how often swords appear on maps. but i have to say the tactics of spear types in the spear book are extremely effective and that i use it more. |

The China Spear Halberds are the best unit in the game! All the perks and powers of halberds+immunity to their only TRUE threat: archers. South China doods negate ranged attacks, which is too broken. : D HALBERDS 4 LIFE! |

ugh, halberds, i try using them, but what ever i do, they always seem to get slaughtered, even when i use all skills possible, but i must agree that the chinese spear are alright, but i dont think theyre the best in the game <_<

Yeah, Halberds were pretty much the only cause of my deaths. Once you were to get inbetween them, alone, you would've by then considered yourself mince-meat. For me it would be horses at the moment. For non-other than the obvious, controlling every battle with them, in ease. You can just dominate the game with them, and even defeat pikes by approaching them at certain angles, knowing that you are high enough ranked of course. Plus, its the same versus archers. The only hard part versus those would be the triumphant stample. However, when you get close enough, there's little to worry about since the game is quite easy. |

halberts are really good but they're deadmeat when fighting against rapiers and those seem to appear more and more often as you progress through the game. they're my third best at the moment. second is horses, 'cause well they're a bit overpowered really but also fun to use. my horses are a 100% complete and about lvl 55 or something. my number one book is archers. i was very suprised about this 'cause to be honest I've always looked down on them as a unit. well my opinion sure changed about them, they can just masacre an enemy army if used well. they are probably my most used unit and were the first to reach 100%, they're also the highest level, about lvl 60 or something. |

For me, it would have to be the Explosives Book, but only one unit out of them: Riflemen. They're like archers, but man, can they decimate a targeted enemy squad captain with ease, even against knives. I do tend to be careful around magicians and horsebowmen, though.  The second book would be the Bows book, all of the units in that book are fun to use - if you know what you're doing. |

Spears for me, I love the move Javelin and Triple Thrust isn't bad either, Halberds are good heavy hitters which is something I like. My brother criticizes me for using spears with him like horses the best, I checked his data and apparantly he uses horses 97% in the game. <_< |

:lol: i think thats using them a bit too much, sure i like thge explosives, magicians and swords, but i do need to have a break from them also, otherwise it just gets far too repetative and at least your brother likes the game, my brother hates it, but oh well, hes a pain, so its ok :rolleyes:

Horses and swords. I know, I'm boring. But I'm working on halberds and I would love to try and get some exotic weapons going. I'm trying to train up war elephants right now. Elephants are cute. |

I have to say Swords, I can destroy anything using my Great Swords :ph43r: Men-at-arms, al sorts are awesome. I actually ran into enemy lines alone and owned quite a lot with the basic sword unit thing I also love Halberds, they are awesome, can clear out a lot, but against rapiers or knive units they stand no chance at all. (its times like that qhich I leave the unit and own them as the sword :ph43r:) I love clearing out bridges as the greatswords though, get the sword wave off, slaughter them :lol: |

Yeah swords are good, but shield and swords are pretty inconsistent or crap for me, they die so easily while Greatswords and Normal Swords destroy things pretty well, still spears are my favorite still, one Javelin kills or leaves the enemy heavily scaved or Triple Thrust.
Halberds and Horses are the other types I use, horses are excellent for Hit & Run. :lol: |

ha! swords, sure, theyre my 2nd strongest book at i think level 80-something, but im kinda over them, the only time i would actually use them, is when i come up against either Iamarl or Christine, since my first choice...the rifles...are no good against those guys <_< i used to like the spears, but since discovering the explosives book, i barely use anything else, its just easy to clear a crowd with a well placed volley :lol: |

GLP is right, please, let us know your opinions ^^ Well, I've many favorites books in fact XD Swords book because it seems to be the easier to LVL up & there're many Swords troops, very useful troops ^^ Halberds are great too, another style than Sword, but helpfull too Horses are one of my favorites too, well, "Horses Lancers" troops are excellent to play to break enemy lines  "Hammers" book also have some interesting competences

I have halberds on very high level and i'm able to beat almoust anyone without taking much damage. I can't say that about another books. |

Ahh, ok then, fair enough then, personally I dont really like the halberds, I seem to do a lot more damage with the explosives book, especially since theyre level 99 Im not to really fond of any of the other books, they just dont seem to have the same effect that the rifles have
