because that's the way it works, the English VA takes quite awhile to translate, round up all the VA, record each person, as available, and that is done at KOEI Canada (if i am not mistaken). it takes quite awhile to work out all the details and it would be expensive to fly all those English VA's to Japan to do tandem voicework with the Japanese VA, plus the organization of getting that many VA's scheduled, with their other regular and VA jobs, must be a nightmare.

Why *sigh*? Is September not good, Honda?

Well, if you must know ...

September is when this game releases as well as the other game I plan on getting, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Almost $100 in total for both games :(

However, that's also when my baby is due :) and hence the beginning of the end of my regular gaming :(

If I even have a chance at getting 1 of them, it would be this one since they are not likely to stock many. SW:TFU will be available for some time, IMO.

*sighs again*

Your baby is due at the end of September? If so please born your baby Ina on September 26 so she could have the same birthday as me, also you'd think of me when she celebrates her birthday everytime! Baby Ina :3

*slaps Mr.Honda so hard* Posted Image

Stop thinking of Star Wars or anything now!! You're already a father of two kids!! Haha maybe you can get the game in the beginning of October? That's fine too man, remember to teach your children how to use the new Weapon Fusion system, Tenbu and Triple Musou (Special Attack), I think it's very good for their Mathematics skills especially for the Weapon Fusion part, don't be like Jsun - he still doesn't know how to use Weapon Fusion system lol!

foomin is very right, Warriors Orochi has a lot of characters and the dialogue so it takes time to translate them really.

I'm a workoholic whether on the job or at home, so gaming helps me keep my sanity  It's my way of relaxing I guess ^_^ I don't intend to allow it to interfere with more important things though ...

 For some reason, you really sounded like a teacher there.

Professor Chin: "Remember kids to practice your Triple Musou for homework"

Back on-topic ...

For those who have it already, is this game any better than the first game? I know it seems to be taking longer to complete the game, but is it any more enjoyable to play than the original? I can conjure up my own opinion from watching gameplay videos, but I really would like to know what others think.

I think it's just the same in general but Wukong is really fast and fun to play as. Besides that the horse racing and ring out also the VS/Survival mode, they're actually quite addictive. It's better because now you can use counter attack by summoning your team mate - L1+Triangle or L1+Square which I think that's a bit of improvement there.

 @ Mr.Honda

Professor Chin: "A Musou an hour keeps your stress away!"

And you know I know how you feel. Nothing gets your mind off of random lines on a computer screen like hacking and slashing peons with Tripple Musous, right Honda? Heck, I've been told its pretty childish for a 30 year old man to be playing video games. I guess they'd rather I lose my sanity

But September sounds great. I can wait 4 more months.

QFT!!!

I think once I complete Story modes & Dramatic modes and max everyone out with weapons, proficiency, etc. I'll be into the Survival Mode since I mostly play 1-player and that provides something different to the musou series than I am used to ^_^

The detractors are the childish ones for insulting someone else's harmless idea of fun. 29 here, and I see no reason to give up a favorite hobby due to some arbitrary concept of age-appropriate activity. I bust my brains working on software development all day long. Heaven forbid I want to go home and do something enjoyable.

I remember when I was back home to Malaysia few months ago, introducing my nephews about the Warriors Orochi game, and my dad laughed at me cause he thought I'm still like 8-year-old kid who got so addicted to the game. My nephews, however, he loves Kingdom Hearts more but can't blame him because he's only 15 or something like that, so he told me - "Uncle Chin, I think I like Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix (International version or whatever) better..." *sighsx2* But I personally think people above around 18-35 would enjoy more on Warriors game series because of the history, gameplay and character design, perhaps? Cause I don't think youngsters they would like someone who look like Katsuie to be the cover boy of Final Fantasy (as an example).

Sorry for the random talking but I think the date would be announced pretty soon, maybe this Saturday but I won't be here to update the info for you guys because I'll be in London until Monday nights. And Warriors Orochi release dates and the platform releases would actually be revealed officially in the expo (also KW gathering at the same time) where you can have the leaflet or poster showing Orochi's sexy back with the release dates and consoles.

Besides that, I heard we can grab some Warriors Orochi 2 character cards that Rydain scanned for us for free on the desk there (I wanna get Nu Wa's card :3) also the Samurai Warriors 2 PC demo for free, again. >.< One good news is the Warriors Orochi 2 on the stand might be the English version one, if so it's gonna be the world premier OMG!

I know what you mean Honda. I am employed right now and then my junior year at college starts up in the Fall. I think of it as something to pass the time and look forward to! If it will be released in September that is... I can only wait until Koei announces the next SW series installment :D

This game is looking more and more promising. Though the DW3 Fu Xi/Nu Wa was a disappointment in my eyes as a past DW3 player, it will still be awesome to use them finally as unique characters since 2001. And after so many bashful words towards Fu Xi and Nu Wa on KW:lol:, look at how many people have them in their sigs and avatars now :P The attention these "fake" characters have already drawn... I love it.

Nu Wa is really a beast with 10 GodSpeed element. Hey, I think my Maou Sairin error yesterday, I haven't unlocked Osaka Castle and Mai Castle(the place where Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu fights Sun Quan, Cao Cao, Liu Bei), but the BGMs already in the BGM list and when I played the Osaka Castle BGM, Arena BGM came out :ph43r: , and when I played Mai Castle BGM, Eve BGM came out.

*I couldn't help feeling involved and sharing my thoughts XD*

Oh, my XD, I don't think I'll stop playing videogames because of someone's personal opinion (yes, it's an opinion, a personal view, thereby questionable). By the way, there are many popular TV shows that are much more childish, but that lots of adult people watch and enjoy all the same without thinking about that.

However I understand that one's own wife/husband isn't a common person, so their opinions must be considered, even if what we like doing must be considered as well. After all, as Rydain said too, playing videogames is a harmless way of having fun and relaxing.

Oh, and congrats, Mr.Honda =)! Another little Ina or Tadatomo will join us ^^.

Just bring him/her up to love Koei games, 'kay?

Well anyway about being 'too old' play video games is just a ridiculous notion, if anything you grow to appreciate games more as you grow older.

Not sure if this has been asked yet but can you play the original WO battle in WO2. Seems theres only 8 maps per force so it would be nice to play a forces story from theres first in WO all the way to its conclusion in WO2.

Wikipedia says that all the maps are there so thats whats got me optimistic that to a certain degree that i'll be playing this game for the best part of a year with all the battles, new modes and over 90 characters. Oh and is there any word about possible online compatability (VS mode online would rock some serious ass  )

5 stories with 8 stages each = 40 stages for Story Mode + 28 Dramatic Mode stages. However, playing original WO stages/scenarios does not happen in this game. Orochi's story precedes the stories from the original WO, but that's it.

To play through the story in its entirety, you'd have to play Orochi's story mode from WO2, then switch games to the original WO and then back to WO2 for the new stories

There will be WO3 because Keiji, Kotaro, and Masamune still in Orochi's side. Who knows that Kiyomori will call Minamoto no Yoritomo to join Orochi and fight Yoshitsune? Or maybe Masashige Kusunoki. Or Sakamoto Ryoma, and samurai from Shin Sen Gumi. Or maybe there will be new mythical characters from Chinese and Japanese legends. We will just wait one year after the 2nd. Also next year Maou Sairin will come to PSP. :ph43r:

We will have to just wait

So play Orochis mode in WO2, then switch to WO1 then back to WO2 again  You can see why i was hoping all would be included in the same disc (good idea and they had done it before with SW2 + SWXL).

Im taking it that the Dramatic mode stage are all at least unique maps from the story modes then - they have to be surely as otherwise how could all the original WO maps return alongise 20 new ones with only 40 stages

Someone can correct the accuracy of this statement in case I am wrong, but ...

I believe Dramatic Mode stages more or less simply explore the various character relationships and are not canonical (i.e. not part of the main story)

The original WO maps used are not exactly the same either since the scenarios are different. Wu Zhang Plains reverses the allied and enemy camps and the events are different, for example.

I can 90% confirm it's non canonical....and different? Just slightly.

If I remember in Itsukushima,(Zhao Yun,Yukimura,Yoshihiro's Dramatic mode stage)...while Liu Bei is I think escaping with peasants...Lu Bu and Tadakatsu turns up to stop them..surprising why Tadakatsu would eh?

Oh by the way, Lu Bu's theme gets played first, then the second you beat him, Tadakatsu's goes on.
