Because he is a mystic god I suppose, doesnt know much about humans and expects hardly anything out of them. And also probably due to him being a "boy" as everyone calls him. |

*facepal-----wait a minute. Now, that review does bring up good points. It did at least acknowledge that the voice acting is better than the first, not to mention that Dream Mode is pretty interesting. Overall, thats not too bad of a review. It's better than what things like IGN, X Play and GameInformer will say. |

Finally got my copy today. I beat Shu story mode and I'm working on Orochi next. Man, this is gonna take much longer than WO to get done. |

But I thought this one doesn't even have Gaiden stages included in the story mode. Must be that each of the main stages take a long time to finish then. |

Each story has 8 stages. And when you're playing with fresh characters and trying to get ingredients and abilities at the same time, it takes a little while. But the upside is that it's fun. Too bad it takes a while to get these new enhancements.

Oh right, sorry for the misunderstanding. I agree the beginning play is one of the slowest stages in the game, as your characters are weak as ever. But I think it gets even slower when you start to play some stage just to get some of those ingredients or play to max proficiency and do the character abilities for each of the characters. |

I enjoy first time play through. And actually like it being a bit slow with everyone with a first weapon and not leveled up. I find it more enjoyable sometimes then just easily raceing through the battlefield all powerful and everything. And satisfaction comes faster
as you level up more often and easy to obtain your first objective for each of the characters. I just hope I dont get bored after completing the story modes.

@Jasonic: You need to trigger Taigong Wangs signs with his R1 to set them off. @Gtown: Yeah, will take a while haha! Me, I've done all stories now, I did Orochi's full on a higher difficulty. The last stage was the most challenge, especially around the three mystics fighting area. Also done Yoshihiro, Zhao Yun and Yukimura's Dream. That was so much fun! Arena music ftw! |

I'm just playing survival mode for a bit so I can get my starting characters to like level 5. I'm waiting to do the tenbu in stuff later. Too lazy right now.

Tenbu on everybody is probably the last thing I will do. As tempting as it is to rip through armies with Godshimoto, God Bu, Godakatsu and all of the Godified characters, I want to immerse myself in the game first. I can't wait to imitate Tetsuo's video with a Tenbuized Lu Bu, Keiji and Tadakatsu

Got the last one at Gamestop yesterday around 5pm. I've played at least the fist 2 stages of all the stories. Haven't finished any yet. Its good also to see some of the guys like Musashi and Sima Yi (outside Orochi's forces) who had little to no role in the previous game get some camera time. And its brilliant having Sakon as the lead man for the Samurai Warriors storyline. How that storyline got the least votes in that poll is beyond me. Its the best so far, IMO. |

well here goes, i got mine at 9pm yesterday(due to having to work). i completed Wei on Normal difficulty last night and i'm pleasantly suprised. first thing i noticed was how much better written this game is than the majority of the DW titles(i don't really think SW suffers from the same exasperating dialogue) and there have been no egregious translation errors that usually plague me. the lack of historical storyline obviously allows the characters KOEI created personalities to shine. LOTS of humorous interaction between Kuno and Cao Cao...i won't ruin it for those who have not played but, there's something about dictatorial and cutting off Dong Zhou's head...priceless. Kunoichi and Zhang He play a large role in the Wei story(which of course pleases me), and whomever said that there was no subverted sexual undertones to Nu Wa and Cao Cao's "partnership" is nuts. they're practically drooling the whole time, granted it's a odd power-struggle type lust, but it's there. Nu Wa-this is the character all bad-ass female loving players have been waiting for. she's similar MS-wise to the DW3 model, but with some excellent additions. her Musou, even at low levels, is cheap and takes half life from most officers. I LOVE IT! her VA is probably one of the best KOEI has ever recorded for a female character. she sort of makes up for all the "husband-followers" in DW6. she's delightful and clever and powerful. at one point after Da Ji is captured Zhen Ji has a line where she literally SHRIEKS "Silence, FOX!" at Da Ji. it's so out of character and silly, it's hilarious. the gameplay is exactly the same as WO, and after the disaster of Renbu, it's actually sort of nice. i have not gotten very far with the extra stuff on creating weapons, more on that later. i am currently deciding which story to persue next. i'm leaning toward Orochi's. |

welcome, tenno. one thing i forgot was that my PS2 on PS3 version has some weird technical happenings. several severe slowdowns in large battles(don't know if thats' because i'm playing it on the PS3?), and i had one stage where the dialogue was audible, but the music was stuck and stuttering, and i had two incidents where the screen went white for a second, and then came back on. one last thing, it looks like(and maybe this is just because of my PS3) that the environments are modeled far better than in the past. the snow actually sort of changes direction and blows at you sometimes, and the layering of textures just looks better. that's all. |

The only error I noticed playing through all the stories was the way Cao Cao pronounces Si Shui Gate before the battle. You should listen to it if you can remember or if you just generally notice it. |

Heh, I think I remember this discussion from somewhere http://z13.invisionfree.com/koeiwarriors/i...dpost&p=3903279 I'm debating on how I want to approach this game, once I get it. I can't decide if I want to play through each story from beginning to end without switching, or if I want to play each story a stage at time, constantly switching between them I want to max out abilities faster, but at the same time, I want to complete Orochi's story before I start the others ... oh well, I still have a full week to think about it  |

My approach is the same as I did for WO1. SW > Wu > Wei > Shu. Orochi will be last. |

The way I'll go: Orochi Shu SW Wu Wei When I did WO, it was reversed. As much as I want to save the prequel story for last, its just too tempting to have the start of the game immediately with Orochi playable. When I touched WO the first time, I did the stories one by one but right before I do Koshi Castle, I switch to another story, unlocking other characters from gaidens. That way by the end of it and finishing Koshi Castle's Shu stage, I unlocked Liu Bei, Zuo Ci, Da Ji and Orochi in one go. I think this time around I'll tackle the stories one by one and finish one completely before moving on to the other. |
