*le sigh... At much as these reviews hurt, they do at least acknowledge that fans will eat them up. But what I REALLY hate is when certain reveiwers (cough, X-Play), say these games are for those with no life and low self esteem. |

Reviewers are only as useful as the standards they set. Since they didn't clearly communicate what their standards are, and instead assumed that we know what they are and assumed we agreed that their standards are our own - I'm taking that review with a grain of salt. |

I think biased hypocritical reviewers who get off to Lei Fang, Hitomi, etc from DOA4 will get over it, now want they? |

@Qing - The English review had similar rating, although it was slightly better than the French one. Thanks to LoW for the link: http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/l...reviewid=965879 Edit : Ok, thanks zenkokuku & LoW ^^ |

WO2 is probably not available in France yet, but releases date on jeuxvideo.com are often pretty inaccurate...

I'm beginning to worry... WO2 is not out here yet, and also not in Germany and France, where they are translated. So perhaps they are going to translate WO2 to Dutch? I hope not... I can see Yukimura say: "Niemand zal ooit voorbij mij komen!" Terrible... |

I've started Orochi's story again, this time with characters like Kotaro Fuma, Lu Bu and Kiyomori Taira. Just those that I never used last time. |

I just beat Orochi's story. It was awesome, especially CXhapter 8. It'll also make Wu's story easy for me, since I used Zhou Tai a lot.
Now I'm working on Wei's, then Wu's, Shu's, and finally SW's.

When it comes to leveling up characters like Lu Bu, Diao Chan, Kiyomori, Sun Wukong, Himiko and Orochi X, I can really only level them up in Orochi's own story mode. I just don't feel comfortable leveling them anywhere else. |

You just got the game today then? I can't figure out who's story is best. It has not been so clear like WO1's was to me. Edit: @Xalfrea: True, I myself play as them on their respective forces so I can kind of roleplay and find secret dialogue. Its always fun to search for. |

Yeah exactly thats what I mean. Maybe its my koei geekness speaking, but I wouldn't feel too comfortable leveling up Sun Wukong in say... a stage where Sun Wukong is the enemy. Lu Bu and Diao Chan are probably the exception, I may use them in Wu's Chi Bi every now and then. |

I finished Wu's story. Not much focus on Sun Ce this time. The focus was kind of divided between all the major players. Their story is much better than the first in my opinion and I actually have new found respect for Lu Bu. Started up one stage of Wei before bed as I was eager to pick Nu Wa. Wow she has a broken move set lol and I dont have agility on any of her weapons and she's still pretty fast. I imagine 10 makes her go at Sonic speed. Can take some getting use to though, Im not good with 1H sword users. |

@Xalfrea: Yep, I'm sure most people here do it that way. They want to hear what Lu Bu and Tadakatsu Honda have to say to each other, etc. Until when near enough everything is done anyway. @Qiao Elegance: True, you get a dose of Sun Quan, Jian and Ce in this title. Its not just really about Sun Ce like in WO1. But that's better though, don't you think? I do because I'm a Sun Quan fan. Nu Wa is so deadly with her musou. Musou attacks are finally useable in general now. |

But its hard to change direction, so you've got to be accurate and use her R1+direction before. The same applies to Fu Xi, as he's so hard to steer when using his. |

This game is stealing my soul guys. It's the main reason why I wasn't here yesterday, but anyway, it's still pretty fun. Trying to get ingredients and unlock characters simultaneously. I've gotten all of them save for the ones on Wu and a few on SW. Now I just have to worry about getting most of the abilities and spare weapons. P.S. Kojiro is a beast. With the right skills, this guy is invincible. And I hate fighting Orochi X (what a strange name ). The snake man keeps draining my musou then hitting me with his R1 special, witch hurts alot!

I don't really like Kojiros's new Zhang He voice. I found his in SW2XL more freakier and easier to hear. Its too soft and quiet in this game. But I've only used him in one stage I think. Maybe I'll try after doing this repeat Orochi story and will use him then. Orochi X's musou drain can get annoying, but also using it in stupidity when you have little filled up and he's there spamming it like any dum AI... |

Oh yeah, that's so true. He sounds awful in this. Same goes for Katsuie and Toshiie. They ruined half of the voices in this game. Well, at least Sun Wukong, Kiyomori, and Himiko sound ok though. |

I think all the newbies have great voices myself. Katsuie has his worst yet. I loved his SW2 VA so much, weren't too bad in XL using Kotaro's, but now the voice is just nothing special that makes you want to admire it. Toshiie has Liu Bei's DW6 VA. Not too bad, but his battle motion noises get very annoying when attacking. |

i've still got pneumonia, so i feel pretty crappy. i did however make it through two levels of Shu last night. Taigong Wang as annoyingly superior he thinks himself, has a good VA and an excellent MS. Yoshimoto is the SW2:XL model and MS which is good, as it's better than his original, he's looking like he's a big player in the Shu Story(about which, i am pleased). the "Find Da Ji " story for Wu is not as good as Wei's, but still pretty good. WO seems to the game where the ladies are looked up to/encouraged for their skills(a positive move), as Nu Wa and Kunoichi dominate the Wei story, and Liu Bei immediately encourages SSX to "ride beside him to battle". i have also noticed the odd names for the Evil Ninjas(Wishbone?) and the Boars(Travertine?)-that's a type of floor tile? strange. |

Yeah I know what you mean. I think myself that there is just too many different versions of names for each minion. Its kind of pointless sounding really. |

I was reading game manuals just a while ago and found out something quite interesting regarding Profiency: "The higher your Profiency, the less damage you receive from enemy attacks." I wonder if it had the same effect in WO? That would explain why the strength of R1 attacks never increased even though that's what everyone thought >_>. |

it certainly makes them appear less-fearsome. i was sort wanting the boars to at least inspire a bit of worry. but, no, they're terribly slow and not that strong and unbelieveably stupid. and then they are called "Chickenbone" or "Washbucket". pointless. |
