I know what u mean, i kinda did like the speed improvement it gave ranmaru, then again.. it gives all hits that god horrible sound of 'zapzapzap' i hate so much. ( i think its slay ) I only putted allmighty on characters for faster proficiency gain. I agree with you that it takes the whole challenge thus fun out of playing. Koei just made unlocking the stages so damn impossible. I dont want to be spending a month on this. |

It's been over a month since I played WO2. Same thing happened with WO. I found the game boring after I had unlocked all characters, 4th weapons, stages and PIs. At some point I started playing it again, though, and maxed out all the remaining characters. Haven't touched it since then... >_>. |

Nothing else to do after unlocking Shin Orochi? you act like there should be more Im not even half way to getting him and I never plan to as I also stopped playing more then a month ago. Do you not relize how much hours of gameplay it takes to get him, i dont spend that much time on games, period. And how can you call it one of the worst Koei games? its easily one of the best. |

Well this year I never actually really played any new games. I was really looking forward to WO2. And when I got it, it was great with all the new characters and then I thought Shin Orochi would be the most awesomest character ever. But when I unlocked him and played with him, I thought he was one of the worst. I mean Orochi moveset is much better. So this is my advice to anyone who is trying to unlock Shin Orochi. DON'T DO IT. Its not worth it. Just play with Orochi, his like 10 times better then Shin Orochi. |

I already knew by how much gameplay time I had to giveup just to get him wasnt worth it. I still wouldnt do it if he had the best moveset in game. I finished the game with probably still 8 or so dream levels not yet unlocked. I was satisfied with finishing it after ive gotten my favorite characters maxed, gotten all treasures and maxed out most abilities. Shin Orochi was never ment to be the best character to unlock, I think Koei just added that to give you a little more insentive to keep playing the game. I think the fact that you played it so much and were expecting something big in the end and end up disapointed with your final prize is why you ended up not likeing the game. |

I fail to see how Orochi X is worse than Orochi... although X has less Charge attacks, they're overall stronger than Orochi's. X's R1 move is also superior. And Orochi X is probably the only character who can clear Chaos stages with ease without having any elements on weapon. C4 and R1 are all attacks he really needs to get the job done.
Depends what you're looking for. I thought WO2 was more about quantity than quality. It would be just wrong for me to consider it as one of KOEI's best games. Nevertheless, it's still not a bad game and worth your money if you're fan of the series. But if that's not the case... I wouldn't recommend it. |

Maybe saying Warriors games would have been better then saying Koei games. Because in quality and quantity it is easily one of the best. Quality is having 7 new characters each with great movesets. I liked some alot more then others, but none were a disapointment. Quantity is having around 90 characters in the game, quality is having each of those with a unique moveset. That is something easily looked over as a warriors fan. |

This game was almost exactly same as WO1. I wouldn't consider that as a "quality". //But I agree with the quantity and movesets of the characters. There are over 90 and all are (semi)unique. KOEI deserves praise for that. Still, I didn't like the fact that original characters didn't go through any major changes. Edited by LoW, Wed Dec 17, 2008 10:49 am.

Well, I've been playing other stuff with family so I haven't played this much recently. I did manage to clear some more Samurai story Chaos stages though this week. I'm not bored of it yet, and I still plan on completing it, but its just going to take awhile. |

I'm not bored of it either, it's a great game but the Orochi side was a bit dull, I mean I expected a bit more than the explaination of WO1 xD But oh well, can't complain, the rest is cool so far. |

Got it, I like it a bit more than DW6 in a way, but I really like the designs in DW6 better than the designs in DW5. I wish they used the designs from 6 instead of 5 in Orochi 2 |

I so agree with you. I got bored of it really fast. I think it's because I was expecting so much, and I've been playing Warriors Orochi the entire time before; maxing out everybody. I beat all the story modes in 1 week. It was fun. Then after that, the excitment died off quickly. Characters were unlocked way too easily. Even though, that might be a good thing for other people; it sucked for me. I wanted to like max a character out and try unlocking all the characters. One walkthrough each mode; almost every character was unlocked. But it's cool, I'm probably going to start playing again after I finish and get bored with DW6 Special. |

I wonder, are KOEI released this WO2 to soon, i think there's many potential on this series (Which they doesn't make). And this series supposedly get more attention for graph etc (exspecialy Costumes they should make more attractive alternate costumes). Because this is the only series that u can play both SW and DW chara. I hope they doesn't make this WO just for ..... .. Well, I hope WO3 will be way more better than this (if they making it) |

HAHA, I love all the people STILL complaining about DW6. I say DW6 was easily one of the best koei games in a long time. ever since SW2, KOEI games are REALY stale and boring. MOST OF ALL WO. I love how people begged and begged for change, but when you finaly got it.........OMFG PUT THE OLD CRAP BACK NAO!!!!! Yea, I admit some of the changes are questionable...such as removal of characters and clones, but still, the feel of battles themselves actually feel like a war now instead of random tiny skirmishes! and if you think about it there are still quite a few charges if you skim the surface of the combat system. (Holding charge, Charge combo, Running Charge, Parry T, Parry S. = 5 charges. dw5 = 6 charges) WO2 was fun while it lasted, which isnt much. I got bored after about 1/2 months, while I still pop in DW6 randomly and still find it fun. The atmosphere and feel of battles cant be beat by any other Warriors title already out, and the WO series is the worst in that feel. EVERY battle feels like tiny skirmishes, save for the final ones in WO2. Tho I admit that WO2's combo system was by far the best in the series. Share your opinions people!

I got the game for X-Mas and have played enough of it to actually form an opinion. I'm so glad that I didn't play WO1 non-stop because the 2 games are pretty similar. I mean, I played WO1 ALOT, but I didn't go to the extent that some of you guys did (got a little less than half of the characters to Lvl. 99, every character is at least Lvl. 45, I unlocked about 1/5 of the PIs, I unlocked every ability, I have 9/10 of the characters at MAX Proficiency, I have about 1/4 of the 4th weapons), and I think that helps me enjoy this game more. All the menu music is the same, that disappointed me. But everything else I've come across so far have been awsome. I've beaten Wu's Story Mode and I enjoyed the story quite a bit. I also liked how every character on Wu's side had some unique dialogue and that they all showed up in the ending movie. IIRC in WO1 a bunch of characters did almost nothing unique during the story (either playing a role during the battle or talking before/after the battle) so that was a nice touch. The battles themselves are pretty different from WO1 as well so you don't feel like you've played it before (even though we've been using those maps for years). Dream mode is also pretty cool; I've beaten 1 of them (Battle Of Osaka Bay: Zhang Fei, Musashi Miyamoto, & Tadakatsu Honda) and it was enjoyable. I got a bunch of proficiency, and the 3 characters are already somewhat beefed up in level before I ever used them in Story Mode. The only thing that disappoints me at this point is that Story Mode has less battles and makes you use Dream Mode as a sort of "alternate, just as important as Story Mode" type of thing. I kinda wish they'd of had more battles because it didn't take me long to beat Wu's. I also dislike how instead of giving unique characters more battle time, they give generic characters more instead. If they gave unique officers more prominence over generic officers, every character on each force would play some sort of role during the story. But then again, I also feel that way about WO1, so I guess you can say that its a series dislike and not this particular game. Edited by SnowMan, Fri Dec 26, 2008 11:40 pm.

I decided to pick it up yesterday because people have said it's just WO1 with a new story & new characters aaaaand I don't have WO1 so I thought why not, seeing as a game combining Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors is my idea of a fanboy's wet dream. So after playing DW6 I pop it in. I find shoddy graphics, shoddy draw distance, framerate slow down and bad VA. The things that I've come to know and love with Dynasty Warriors. I like this game. =) |

Agreed. They should change the plot though. I think for the next installment; they should have battles for control of this "new world" because apparently; they're still living in Orochi's world. |

Wow, I just found out that the difficulty in this game is a lot easier than in WO1. I played Orochi's 1st stage on Chaos difficulty with a Lvl. 43 Da Ji, a Lvl. 5 Sun Wukong, & a Lvl. 1 Himiko and I didn't get completely destroyed like I would of if I was playing WO1. Sure, I lost the battle, but I killed everyone except for the commander (in this case, it was Hideyoshi). That makes me happy.
