I'm wondering something. Does the PS2-version of Warriors Orochi 2 have frame-drops as well? In the 360-version, when I'm surrounded by a lot of enemies, the game tends to slow down. It's really annoying. As a solution, I've installed the game to my HDD. I haven't had time to check the results yet, though. |

Yes, as LittleDragonZ mentioned in the other topic. I can recall frame rate issues and lagging while playing both Battle of Guan Du (Wei-8) and Battle of Chi Bi (Wu-8). The 360 version got a patch that fixed this and it was released everywhere. The PS2 just had to live with it

i think i've mentioned this previously, but i never played the PS2 version on my PS2, as i have a BW compatible PS3. i experienced little lag while playing it thusly, so...if you have the opportunity(and equipment, that's an option). |

Uhm,just a small question. Is it just me or do enemies not get hit when they're not on the screen, but theoretically have to get hit (360° attack or so)? I noticed that several times... |

No they don't which is quite annoying. Although Speed attacker's projectile attacks do work. |

The PS2 lag was bad at Chi Bi and inside garrisons at Yi Ling. Throw in a load of elements an it does get laggy. |

Wei 2 also lags in the middle of the map. And So do most of the last levels except for Guan Du.

I dunno if it helps - but i've noticed over playing both PS2 and PSP versions of WO2 - the lag seems to hit me whenever I get more than just -soldiers- on the screen. In other words...it only ever seems to lag for me when the soldiers get tossed in with any combination of the following: fire, tornadoes, eruptions, and roving cavalry. This gets pretty bad on the PS2 oddly enough - I don't experience it much on my PSP, but the PS2 version can hit a relative crawl, especially if I turn the musou on at the right time. Not to mention - when cavalry hits the screen - I get a lot of 'disappearing' enemies to top off the lag (which, on the PSP - I don't get the lag as much, but enemies will 'flicker' noticeably when cavalry is on screen). |

I am just wondering how many characters do I have to get proficiency level 50 to unlock the final dream stage to Orochi X? |

She starts off somewhere in the southeast between two garrisons when she's attempting to flee. In my games at least.

Oh yes! Today, I got my hands on the PS2-version of the awesome game that is Warriors Orochi 2. Awesome! Now all there is left, are the PSP-versions of both games in the series. If I get myself those, I will have both games on the three platforms (PS2, PSP, 360) they're available on. Good for me, don't you think?

If you can stomach trying to max proficiency for every character in all 3 copies of WO2 ... Either the PS2 or the 360 version would've been enough, but if you wanted the WOZ content in the PSP version, then having that too would be reasonable. The PSP versions are solid ports of both games though. |

I know the PSP-ports are great. It's just that they are, just like the PS2-version of Warriors Orochi 2, so hard to find. I'll just have to be patient, I guess. And no, I am not intending to level every character to the max in all three versions. I have been playing the 360-version all this time, and that won't change. Sorry, PS2... ![]() The main reason for me buying the PS2-version at this time, is just because I want to have all the games in the Warriors-series for the PlayStation 2. I'm currently on a good way, with having many games in the series. But, of course, there are still some games I'm missing. I'll get there... Plus, the game wasn't that expensive. I only paid €15,- for Warriors Orochi 2 on the PS2. Considering I bought the 360-version for €39,99 when it came out, I'd say I didn't do too bad of a deal

Not too bad at all. KOEI must love you either way Hmm, since you're in Europe I'm not sure which version of the PSP games you'd prefer to have. They are all region-free, and I know a site that has stock of WO2 PSP, but I'm not sure if it accepts international orders

Could you give me the link either way? I don't really mind which version it is, as long as I have a version I can understand. I don't understand Japanese yet, so that version is out of the question... sadly. |

http://www.frys.com/product/5963864?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG Fry's Electronics - Electronics chain based in California, but they do ship internationally. They've had the best price I've seen on WO2 PSP $19.80 USD. I almost picked up a copy when I was in one of their stores this summer, but my $$$ was tied up elsewhere Amazon still lists it for $29 ...

Just started rebeating this again last night. Let me give some background. I got this game when it first came out. I beat it and leveled up the characters nicely, gotten a bunch of 4th weapons, and was in the middle of the Orochi X grind. My 360 failed and broke, and I lost all my save data. Which means I had to start over. I went back a few times over the past 2 years and beat some of the battles little by little, but after one or 2 battles I'd have to shut it off. It was too depressing it start all over. But now enough time has passed that I can go back and finally beat all the Story Modes again. And at the very least, level up each character to a comfortable level (between 30 and 99). Pang Tong is my most leveled up character at Lvl. 31. As of right now, I've beaten Wei and Shu. I haven't started Orochi's yet, I've played one battle in Wu and I'm working torwards beating Samurai's stage. Wish me luck! Edited by SnowMan, Sun Apr 17, 2011 9:44 pm.

Seeing as WO3 has been annouced I feel I should get round to playing this game before 3 is released. So the main thing I'm wondering is if I should get the PSP or PS2 version. I dont own a PS2 anymore so to play it I would need to borrow a console, while the PSP would be more straight forward to play. So aside from graphics is there any major things that the PSP version lacks? |
