About that "Demon Lord" subject, when playing Musou Orochi (the Japanese version) I often heard them say "Maou" when speaking of Orochi, so the "Maou" of the title must be him. |

Nobunaga is also known as Maoh(full title is Dairokutenmaoh), so the Demon King/Lord is the same for him and Orochi both. I think I remember him saying something about how there's no room for two Demon Kings way back in the beginning of Sengoku story mode in MO. However, the wording of the game's title specifically implies Orochi. |

Besides, Nobunaga is already featured as Demon Lord in Onimusha series. KOEI wouldn't dare to copy Capcom's idea... >_>. |

Hmm, KOEI was wise to stick with current-gen game consoles. Unlike many other companies who move to next-gen, especially the PS3 >_> |

I always hate when companies jump sequals to other systems. Like Tecmo who took DOA3-4 to the Microsoft and now Fatal Frame 4 is going to be on the WII. >_< I can't wait for this, I will pre-order it as soon as possible. |

They should have built their games to the ground up on Xbox360. It's easier and cheaper. PS2 games will still get ported anyway and definitely this game. |

Since I can't read Japanese, and don't feel like reading 29 pages of posts, I'll just ask: Did they actually explain what "Dramatic Mode" is in the Famitsu scan or did they just announce its existence? |

My main thoughts are..... Who are the new "other" characters? Surely they would not make a character tab called other 2 for just Fu Xi and Nu Wa If so the list would have to look like this Other1: Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Dong Zhou, Yuan Shao, Meng Huo, Zhu Rong, Other2: Zhang Jiao, Zuo Ci, Orochi, Da Ji, Nu Wa, Fu Xi A bit pointless to have 6 characters in each........ *cough*Bladestorm?*cough* |

No, the DW characters follow the PS2 game styling (DW5/WO) ... This game is for PS2, so naturally the graphics & character models will follow suit and be based off their existing PS2 pallettes. There's no way they'd include DW6 models in this game since that game was designed for PS3 & Xbox 360 |

If they wanted to cannibalize DW6 sales which they desperately need. With the success of MO (especially in Japan) they would be making a big mistake if they included DW6 characters even in Xbox 360 version (which is technically just a port anyway). DW6 needs all the help it can get to gain popularity. If they included DW6 characters in WO, they might as well have never made DW6, IMO. |

Whoa I didn't expect a sequel to this so soon! guest Koei really want to squeeze as much cash out of the PS2 as they can before it's final resting place... Anyway Fu Xi and Nu Wa look pretty cool, if a bit generic. Glad to see they are adding some new stages this time around as well. I hope they keep Orochi and Da Ji in the game regardless of who the "mysterious new force" is. Orochi was wicked fun to play as. |

I never even liked half of DW 6 models(Not even Zhao Yun's...except the scarf making him a Hayabusa wannabe), just the musou modes, ranbu, and stages. It's questionable if they added the models to a Xbox360 port. Sorry, but my hardcore gaming antics is ticking. Keep it DW 5/WO or we're up with another series of clone character feast. Thank goodness for DW 5 and their respectable weapons and fighting abilities. You want our DWs to look even more alienate? Admit it, DW 6 isn't popular. No latest news on Rebirth of the Demon Lord yet at the moment. |

MaOu on this game most definitely refers to Orochi. I play the Japanese version only (Didn't bother to buy an english version. I prefer my chinese/japanese characters speaking Japanese than english. That, and the VA quality's a good bit better too. ^_^) and practically ALL the reference to MaOu was referring to Orochi. In fact, I'm pretty sure people mistake Nobunaga fo rCao Cao more often than call HIM MaOu. |

Hello, First post on this board for me. *taps mike* Is this thing on? Yes, about one year ago when the first WO was announced, I thought it was the last Warriors game on the PS2 and the dye would be cast for the migration to the PS3. It turns out that I was wrong with that prognostication with SW2:XL coming forth. The other queries I have with WO:RDL are 1) Why is this game on the PS2? and 2) Is KOEI going to the barrel too much? These two queries also maybe intertwined somewhat. I get that the PS2 is still doing well with sales and the PS3 are lower vs. the XBOX 360 and the Wii. However, would it be better if more FMV, multi-language voice tracks and more bonus stuff was available on a Blu-Ray disk than a DVD or a dual-layer for that matter (Koei can keep the DW5 models if they like.)? That may get some attention for PS3 sales for a popular franchise to make it on that platform. Also, my initial thought was that WO was a one-time deal and if a sequel would come that it would be years (or until DW6 or possibly SW3 run their course on the PS3) before that information is released. To me, since the announcement of WO:RDL was made, it tempered my enthusiasm because Koei tarnished the novelty of two popular series into one. I don't really want to hear from the enterprising individuals who would say that "Koei's doing whatever it takes to make money." and "They're not pointing a gun to your head about buying this game." I'll eventually buy it, I guess I'm just too wiped out from the months of anticipation from last time to get revved up again this go around. |

The ps2 is still extremely profitable. More people with Ps2s than any other console currently in the market. As for jumping from the ps2 to the current generation of systems, well for one thing they'd have to remodel all the costumes and the stages. Or they could make new ones but they'd still have to spend time modeling them. The other thing is that this is Koei. When it comes to maximizing profit, they know how to do that as you can tell by all of the musou game expansions. By making this for the ps2, not only do they save a whole lot of time, it saves them money since all this really is is Musou Orochi 1, just better. They have all the character models ready and rigged for animations, a whole lot of animations already made, and the code is still the same but now with some new stuff to accommodate whatever additions they've included. The only thing they'd need to do now would be to make a new story, cutscenes, getting the voices to do some new lines, and possibly remix more songs. So to sum all that, it saves them money on production, puts out an even more awesome game for their fans, and everyone gets something out of it. They get profits and we the consumer will get a most kickass game. |

Wow, people really wanna see the PS2 GTFO so bad o_o. Don't worry, Sony is supposedly going to stop producing it in 2010(10 year plan) and the PS2 will GTFO and you wont see anymore KOEI games on it. :| |
