Omg so awesome! Do we have a release date on this yet?

It says so right on the scan itself. "4/3"

So, in other words, expect the JP release the 3rd of April, assuming there's no delays or what-have-you.

And thanks for more translations, superDioplus.

If the release is in April then we'll get more scans in early March. February the earliest. Then the US release should be somewhere around Oct-Nov. Whee!

This is HUGE. Finally, some closure for the Warriors franchise on the PS2; a farewell, if you will. It now includes every single character that ever appeared in a Warriors game, which is freakin awesome. I don't see how everyone says they're "milking it". They've been doing this for years, so now it's milking? I mean, Koei needs to make their money somewhere, since their next-gen titles aren't booming yet. And we've all been buying them, too, haven't we? This, I think, may be an Xtreme Legends thing, since there's no way they can fit all of these characters, all the stages plus two new ones, a versus mode, a dramatic mode (whatever that is), survival mode, a new story mode, all of the voiceovers, weapon fusion (probably will return), and the crap load of other stuff the original saw. So the new "XL" stuff probably are the new characters, the new combination musou, two stages, versus, dramatic, survival, and the new storylines. THAT they can fit on the disc, then you just Remix it with the original Warriors Orochi.

April 3rd, huh? Then we could see this by August, at least I would say, if they decide to bring it stateside. They would be stupid not to. It's an instant buy for me.

To the "Milking" claims, Did you not see this? Warriors Orochi sold around 650,000 units in Japan alone in 2007, so why the hell wouldn't Koei produce another if that many are purchasing it?

They are giving the fans what they want, more.

Nicely said MegaXtreme, this will more then likely be the final Warriors release on PS2, and it will feature every character we have seen on the PS2 before it, it's perfect if you ask me.

Nope, 86.

Warriors Orochi: 79
+ SW2XL: 5 (not 6, we have Yoshimoto already)
+ Fu Xi & Nu Wa: 2
= 86

Thanks, Sakon. ;) And, yeah, you made the perfect point to the "milking" argument. The Warriors games are HUGE in Japan. I mean, I think some have undoubtedly gone platinum, and Warriors Orochi is an example of almost reaching that point. 650,000 shows that the fans will eat it up. I'll take anything Koei throws at me, since I will always love this franchise. Here's to Koei making our farewell to the past-gen Warriors a great one. Thanks, Koei. Just bring this one stateside, ok? :)

Wow, I compltetly forgot about him...

But he never was turned into an actual playable character anyway.

Someone better edit WO's Wiki article. I tired awhile ago and they didn't let me save it due to trying to put this link on there.

Hmm I thought if something. Maybe DW6 didn't have any new characters because KOEI knew they were going to make this. IT MAKES SENSE!!!

Yeah, I don't think so, since the games are on completely different systems, and Warriors Orochi doesn't use anything from DW6. They didn't add characters probably because they;re still getting their feet wet with the new next-gen capabilities and don't want to add anything overly significant without knowing what the technology can do.

Guys, this is not the place for renders. >.>

As for the DW6 comments, as some others said I think it's unrelated. DW6 is something completely new, and possibly rushed. This seems to be a final culmination of everything the PS2 has given us with the Warriors titles with a little bit more thrown in. Like what appears to be group duals and all character combination attacks, I wonder how they will work. o_O

Typically they are around 6 months, I guess this will be no exception. Unless the PS2 shows signs of becoming extinct they might try expedite it a little, although even then I’d expect at least a 3 month turnaround.

Oh well, I guess we have to get used to all this waiting now.

Wonder what the story will be? I'm predicting that Da Ji managed to survive the end of the first game. After all, they didn't even show her death in any of the endings.

Well, Im certainly glad that Fu Xi and Nu Wa are in the game, but I really wanted them to look demonish like Da Ji and Orochi.

Fu Xi and Nu Wa are deities. So they kinda do look like gods...

I only noticed the story on the first scan. Super, what does it say?

They do look more like gods, angelish like. They look totally different from their DW3 counterparts.

No new DW characters?

New cutscene between Zhang Fei+Tadatkatsu Honda? Honda is the Japanese Zhang Fei...

Hanzo and Wei Yan--- Silent warriors? They have that with Zhou Tai.

Lu Xun and Zhou Yu--- A duel?

The versus mode is different from DW3,DW4 and SW1... it is kinda like Marvel VS Capcom.

Does the title means Nobunaga(he was called demon lord in SW1) or Orochi? It interesting how they tell the story after endings of WO.

Finally, this is XL of WO, because DW5 characters are still used and SW2 characters(including XL) are being added.

No it's not, it's a sequal. Super said it, himself.
