Yoshitsune is needed I agree. Benkai a high possibility, and how aboutt adding in an extra Taira just for Kiyomori to have some support? Maybe....nah. But he should still get a unique helper.

So it seems this game will be awesomeness with those 2 additions....maybe even more MH characters? They all come from The Water Margin...I think. Im getting mixed up huh ?

This is nothing to do with Water Margin or Suikoden at all...

Da Ji and Taigong Wang (Jiang Ziya), also all characters, story are from Mystic Heroes are from Houshin Engi (in Japanese) or Fengshen Yanyi (in Chinese)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fengshen_Yanyi

Read the bullet points there:
* 2.1 Nüwa and Di Xin
* 2.2 Daji and Bo Yi Kao
* 2.3 King Wen of Zhou and Jiang Ziya
* 2.4 Bi Gan lost his heart

If they are going to make some of the remaining characters (from the rumored 90+ character roster) not related to the era of the Three Kingdoms or from the Sengoku era, then, for me, it's going to be one game that will keep me glued at the monitor screen for hours.

Pull out most of the well-known characters into this game already, KOEI. *grumbles*

Great, I love the new designs. :D

I really hope they pull out all the stops here and give us more mythological/different-era stuff to play with...although mostly I'm hoping for new stages, more than the 5 that are already in the scans.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But on the 2nd page added with their page....there are 2 Dark Fiqures to the right of the page what are they...?

...are they new Orochi (General/Troop) Genaric Models?

If anyone knows...Plz share...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Unknown Dark Figures
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I'll tell ya since I'm the one who post that scan to Chin
The unknown creature is Inoshishi, my brother said Inoshishi is (sorry I don't know the English) a swine or pig with 2 ivories beside their mouth which live in a forest.

The right one is....I don't know since the name doesn't shown. Actually, it's a ninja.

Please take into account that I'm not giving my opinion on what I think it's better, I'm just telling what I've seen.
I've visited a great many Japanese fansites, and noticed that they themselves usually use surname-first name order when writing in kanji or kana, first name-surname order when writing in Latin alphabet.

Indeed, but that's because it's totally fine to write modern Japanese people names with first-surname order. While with historical characters, it's a different matter. People are more encouraged to write historical Japanese names in the original order. Even some well-known games made by Western companies follow this. Just look at Age of Empires, Civilization, or Total War.

But I'm not enforcing people to write in the correct order unless it's in the history discussion section. After all, many people who visit this forum are already accostumized to that order.

......

What's all the fuss about enforcing posters in every forum on correct name order...?

Hey, I use to write my last and first name Hayes, Ismael in class.

Ok back on topic.

From what I understood, for Japanese people it's fine to write also historical characters' names with first-surname order, when writing in Latin alphabet (for example, take a look at Sengoku Musou 2 website. It's a Japanese website made by Japanese people, moreover it's KOEI official).
I'm used to surname-first order because names were written like that in the first books I read about Sengoku era over 15 years ago, however I think it's just a matter of habit or preference. I mean, if KOEI official website (and I stress it again, it's a Japanese website made by Japanese people, I suppose they know how to write their names) says "Keiji Maeda", everyone else can say that, no?

But yes, back on topic indeed, now.

XD at mogwaimon comment about Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami, I'm an old KOF player and it's still my favourite fighting game. By the way, remembering what Insp. Chin said about the resemblance between Taigong and Albedo from Xenosaga, I immediately thought he looks like K' from KOF! Or DW6 Lu Xun with white hair.

Well, during the Sengoku Musou 1 time, they were still adhering to the correct order. If you don't believe me, go to http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/sengoku/top/charactor/index.htm and/or http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/sengokum/character.htm and click on a character. You'll see they were still using Sanada Yukimura, Hashiba Hideyoshi and stuff.

Bet someone in the localization team managed to 'brainwash' the web designers so they reversed into the other order when making Sengoku Musou 2 sites. -_-

What I meant is that there isn't only one correct order, both of them are correct if Japanese people use them, anyway it's unlikely that "the localization team managed to 'brainwash' the web designers" XD (as we already said in other threads, KOEI Japan doesn't care that much about West).
However, if that's your conviction, no one is trying to change your mind, of course. Again, I was just telling what I've seen.

There's new info floating around and you guys are still arguing about the name order? Warriors Orochi should have long established what the naming conventions are going to be, and they shouldn't be any different from that.

I agree, it's a bit tiresome to see this whole name order thing again, and besides, the official site updates today, I can't wait to see it.

Just a heads-up, site updated.

And just when you thought Kiyomori couldn't get portrayed evil enough, his left eye is totally red.

And he has horns. Though, in the Famitsu scan it's possible to see two of those just barely, he does have 4 in total.

Both characters have a short bio and 5 stages have been announced. 3 of them were confirmed within the Famitsu, so BlackKite if you could the honor and translate the other two? :)

Bad case of pinkeye right there. Maybe he's helping to revive Orochi in the hopes that he'll be cured of it.

Also, I actually don't really like how most of the new stages are made to be so....hellish. It looked neat as the last stage in the first game, but having nearly all of the new stages that way seems a bit repetitive.

The first one is the aforementioned 'Enshuu' in the previous scan, but I fail to find its Chinese pronounciation.
Second is Okehazama.
Third is 'Kizan'... could it be Qi Shan (Mt. Qi)?
Fourth is Si Zhou
Fifth is Shi Ting

Xalfrea, Is this your URL?

http://download1.gamecity.ne.jp/orochi-sairin/index.htm

I've heard of people going to the Chinese (cn) or Taiwanese (tw) extensions instead of Japanese (jp) iterations of the DW6 site a while back. Some regional sites were way behind in updates, so this could be your problem?

Also, if someone could kindly translate Taira no Kiyomori and Taigong Wang's bios, I would appreciate it verrrrry much B) Please?
