I never liked her in Kessen 2, and unfortunately this version looks to be fairly similar. Her personality looks to be just another childish, naive, and petty young woman, who will most likely have a very high pitched VA that will grate on my nerves. :(

Her weapon really doesn't appeal to me, either. Floating magical statue cannons? Not my type of weapon at all.

Destroying 'Himiko mood' by bringing the update for TOXIC song.
(Not like I like Her anyway.. She looks like.. Loli wannabe... And Her weapons look weird..)

The song'll be released by the March 19. Will try to find the song and upload It Here for KWers. Unless someone's fast enough to beat Me.

Yamatai is the country that was ruled by Himiko. It was first recorded in the SGZ when gifts were exchanged between Wei and Himiko's nation.

Not sure on the "Fire-River", though it looks like a Japanese stage, and most likely has to do with the dieties.

It must be a pure original stage just like Koshi Castle, and the source of all those magma in other stages.

This game has a gotta stories going on in it. With the new characters, deities, Orochi's forces, I'm honestly forgetting the staple of the game; DW and SW characters. The game is spoiling me so much, I haven't thought of them in a good while. It feels weird...almost as if this game has transcended beyond DW/SW.

Kessen II Himiko says, "Wheeeee I'm an airplane!"

On Kessen II's official website
http://koei.com/launch/Kessen2/

She is listed in the character section as "Himiko, Wei Magician"
As foomin's lengthy research or anyone that remembers their RotTK can attest to why she is bonded with Wei. (if not, see previous page or wikipedia)

I only wonder what role will she play in WO2 and perhaps the possibility of sticking with Wei and join the DW roster for DW7?

exactly what i was thinking. that she and Mei(Bao) Sanniang will be new characters in DW6:XL(which will sorely piss-off the Purists) or turn up as future characters in DW7. i have long been a proponent of adding Himiko as a character in DW, along with Xin Xianying(Xin Pi's daughter and all around Smart-Girl) to Wei, to get their female numbers up.

i don't mind Himiko's personality/VA in K2, that would be fine with me. just no more blindly stupid girls(GH).

As I've said before...I think this is exactly the kind of thing that KOEI wants to see happen. They want MO to become its own beast, separate from the other Musou games, and introducing all of these new characters and original story scenarios is doing a good job of that.

Probably the only reason why the Sengoku and 3K characters are probably still around, are because they're still fanservice fodder, plus the fact that the PS2-engine models still are good enough, and they have no reason to get rid of 'em (at least for a while). I mean, why throw-away upwards of 77+ character models and move-sets frivolously?

But I'm calling it, ladies and germs...don't be surprised if, by the time a presumed MO3 or some other type of follow-up arrives, it does more to focus even more on the Gods/Demons/KOEI Original designs, and less on the 3K and Sengoku characters. It happened with Banpresto and their "Super Robot Wars" series (OG is now the series that gets the majority of their attention), and I could eventually see Koei and Omega Force heading the same way, continuing with series that allow them to do more beyond just endless re-iterations of the 3K and Sengoku storylines.

i've said similar things to this before. if you are not fond of the DW6 models, you can play WO. if you are terribly upset by the removals, the characters are still in WO. it was a savvy way to transition folks from one console to the next and make lots of $$$ in the process. by the time they are ready to move to next-gen entirely, WO will be it's own series with it's own cast of characters and DW/SW will have progressed to a point where fans will be used to the new models/weapons/characters.

I never really liked her in Kessen II for her immaturity and self-righteousness and admittedly I'm a little disappointed she was included in the game.
Although I wonder why her debut was supposedly so incredible, if anyone's I would think Nu Wa and Fu Xi's re-appearance would be the most dramatic.
By the way, is it true that Orochi has his own storyline? Thks.

Great minds do indeed think alike then. :D

But yeah, everything we both agree to, is on point. Frankly, I look forward to the day when MO (or whatever else it could stand to evolve into), will truly be its own entity, and it can just be a thing where random Japanese and Chinese Gods/Demons/Immortals/Heroes can clash, and maybe we won't even HAVE to have the 3K/Sengoku dudes involved at all.

...Of course, that doesn't say anything that they couldn't live on by having their movesets inherited by some one else... ^_^

OH YES, i can so see the Gods and Goddesses thing go on indefinantly...there are SO many Japanese/Chinese choices. i suggested a new game on the official site involving the Hindu gods and goddesses(Ganesh, Hanuman, Vishnu, Kali, etc.) several years ago, and hope that that also may come to pass at some point.

i strongly feel with so many inclusions this time round, that it'll only be a matter of time before the DW/SW characters return to their own times and the Orochi franchise is left with a pantheon of legendary figures and gods and goddesses. i surely won't mind, as their stories/legends can be incorporated into an original storyline that allows for some "wiggle-room". the non-historical historical game from the historical company.

Ever since I started reading the likes of Fengshen Yanyi, a part of me always wished that Koei would get an idea to take the likes of that, and make it into a full-fledged Musou game. Gods and Immortals going around and being bad-asses, coming back to life after being killed and such? Sounds like things that would be right up Omega Force's alley.

Now with MO2 laying a precedent, I think our dream may be close to coming true. And I LOVE it...

"Tenkaichi Musou" (Unrivaled underneath the Heavens). I like the sound of that... :D
