Sadly, no CG ones at least.

There are a bunch of in-battle Sun Wukong cutscenes though, like the one with Hideyoshi :P

I'm pretty sure that was the purpose of his addition too, I'm not saying it won't be fun watching a monkey conflict though.

Indeed, it is insane ...

Wait, I just read earlier that there are NO Personal Items ... yet, watching this video @ around 3:00, he picks up an ITEM after breaking open a treasure box like in the original WO when you found a Personal Item.

Are Personal Items in or not?

Apparently they are those weapon ingredients you need to make weapon abilities?
Edit* An example:

Thanks zhen, I just went back to read everything I missed earlier too

Well, that's a relief :P

Looks like there are still some unknowns though that need confirmation due to the overwhelming amount of info floating around ...

Nevermind. I read from other topic that 2nd player has to use same team on Story and Free mode.

Sad, I must say...

i'm not clear on the unlocking yet, is it just based on scenario completion like WO? or are there missions to complete? and does anyone have a comprehensive unlocking list yet, the one a few pages back had some glaring omissions and errors on it, not that it was'nt appreciated. thanks.

Would it really be that hard for Koei to allow us to choose different teams...? -_-

CMIIW, but I believe it is rankings of the following categories:

Attack | Musou | Life | Defense | Speed

My guess is that it was simply easier to have both players use the same team rather than having to code a different system for multiplayer.

Lazy, lazy, Koei...

Question: What was that mode where the warriors fight one-on-one? It looked nifty, but I haven't seen much about it.

it's a VS. mode, similar to Tekken Tag.

Please tell me you aren't twitching and ready to launch a tirade because Nu Wa's third costume is ugly. Please tell me that it's not that big a deal to you.

Well... why not?

All other characters that have been in previous "warriors" games have either DW4/SW1 costumes (veteran "old" characters have this). Why is it that Koei had to give Nu Wa and Fu Xi (not even slightly different) alternate costumes which are... (forgive me Koei) just plain ugly? How do those costumes even make it to the drawing board with such little effort and change? I am disgusted... in more ways than I can express... (which doesn't matter) do I not have that right to be so? If Koei really wanted to get crafty and "colorful", why not include the original Nu Wa/Fu Xi attire from one of the very first DW games in the series... it really doesn't make sense...

The matter of it being a "big deal" is irrelevant. Sometimes I just wonder if Koei really cares about their previous work(s) from years ago... Koei could be so much more credible IF they were to include little cool bonuses like that... (luckily we got DW3 artworks which was cool in the last WO) However, I heard that Nu Wa and Fu Xi have their DW3 artworks in the gallery mode from some international gamers, so that will be fun to check out.

Ah... Thanks for the information.

Two more questions! (My curiosity is killing me...)
1) Do stats, level, costumes, weapons, etc... apply in this mode? Hopefully, they do.
2) Can you please this against a computer?

Sorry for all the questions, but this game is really interesting.

It's just a costume, and an unlockable one at that. At least the characters even have different models to choose from now instead of the same old, same old with different palettes.

It's one thing to be disappointed, but to be mad at KOEI for something like this is like being mad at someone from whom you buy a glass of lemonade because the complimentary napkin they give you doesn't have the right floral print.

It's not really laziness, it's hardware limitations. The PS2 has been a phenomenal piece of hardware, for all that companies have been able to get out of it all these years. But let's face it; it's showing its age. Especially when you get to things like this that really showcase just how "weak" it can be.

Simply put, it's more of a RAM issue, as for the reason of why we can't have two separate teams. It's possible that they could have pushed for it, but then we probably would have more lag as the system struggles to try and render 6 different character models at once, in addition to everything else that a normal Musou stage would have. That would cause plenty of slow-down, and everyone would be complaining about that instead. Frankly, I'm surprised that they were able to do the 3-man switch-a-roo thing on the PS2 hardware at all; 2 probably would have been much safer and easier on the PS2's limited amount of RAM (and probably would have made it so we could have our own separate duos for co-op).

But in any case, it is, what it is, and you can't have it all, I guess.
