As I play both DW6 and GM, I find that Gundam's battle system has one edge over all the rest of the Warriors games: Dash attacks (X+S) I love being able to move quickly while attacking at the same time, it feels like I'm really breaking through a crowd instead of standing in front of it smacking the front row. It's like horse combat without the horses and with a real moveset. In fact I use dash attacks almost exclusively now. After experiencing this new fast-paced combat, it left DW6 feeling very slow and dated for me, in both movement and attack range. I would love these dash attacks to be fleshed out into full combo strings in the next Gundam Musou, even use the Renbu system to make a potentially infinite dashing brawl. Does anyone else feel that the dash attacks are a huge improvement over the dated Warriors combat? |

Yeah, I find the dash attack pretty useful too. Maybe they should add charge attacks in-between the dash attacks indeed. |

i like the dash attacks, gives the game an added edge i'll agree. They could however do somthing with the jump (RB), dash (A), attack (X) as i find it unusable - too often i miss, barely damage them then run out of boost. |

I think the dash attacks, the new base system, and the flying/morphing is awesome. I do think they could improve the attacks while in flight form (for those who have it) but if they became too good, people would just abuse them. |

Dash attacks are great imo, but I also like a good challenge. Unfortunately, if you want those options in, you can infinitely spam the dash attack and complete your missions in very little time. The only solution to this is make the maps even bigger, which will probably be possible buuut it would get really annoying. As generally spoken of by Lord_Nagamasa. |

I like the Dash Attacks too; however, I would have preferred a charge attack system similar (if not the same) to Charge-Type characters in Samurai Warriors. This way you have the option of either stopping at the first stage of any given charge attack or extend it all the way to the third stage for more damage (and style!). As BlackKite suggested, it would be interesting to see an entirely different set of charge attacks after dashing. :ph43r: |

Dash attacks are only slightly more effective than fighting while on a horse, and horses didn't break the game in any other Warriors installments, did they? They key is to make much better enemy AI, and the levels multi-tiered instead of flat. Imagine a three level stage... you press R1 and instead of slooowly boosting upwards a few feet before running out of gas, your Mobile Suit boosts up to another level in the air. L1 drops you one level, L2 is guard. The same way space combat works, but you're hovering above the battlefield instead. There would be certain groups of enemies who only fight in the air and bombard you from above, like Aries suits from Wing, and you have to jump into the sky to fight them. This is where the tops of skyscrapers would be, and you could land on them, as well as ships. Some of each suit's attack string, Like Wing Zero's second level SP, would be able to fall onto the enemies below. Then you could jump another level over that, to be above the clouds on that stage. It would also work in space stages, making it an actual 3D environment instead of running on "ground" in space <_< Koei has a lot of potential to do with this series things that are impossible in the others, but they're too lazy to take advantage of it. I would love to be dueling Char's Sazabi with Wing Zero, and have to chase it into the sky to keep fighting. |

great idea =O gundam serie can do a lot of cool and crazy new things for the "flying factor". I really hope a second part, the ps2 version was even in first place of sales and over wii games like brawl that was hot on that moment, so koei must think on a better second game =) |

Dashing is pretty much what makes duels in Gundam Musou that much more fun. Really amps the pace of battle. Now we totally do need multiple tier stages cause jumping is practically pointless other than to fly and transform. At least they added new attacks for jumping for GM2 as well as jump musous which I've been wanting since they introduced jump charges. |

Wholly agree with Dosiying. There wasn't much need for jumping >_> The jump charges and jump SP attack adds to it, but I do hope they put it to some goood use.

Dashing is what, perhaps the equivalent to Warriors Orochi's speed category jumping? It's very useful and is very oftenly used at that. It does great damage, too. What I want is to see the weapon deadlock/duels to be more different somehow. They are handy at killing suits quicker by getting the attack bonus, but I still feel there is a bit missing... |

you mean button-mashin'? It took a while for me to get used to not havin' to button mash when I got into a weapon lock XD I like how it works in DW Gundam though. However I wouldn't mind the return of the button mashing if they added fun weapon lock attacks like in Samurai Warriors. |

I don't really mind them and I'm glad they are short. Any longer and it would be seen as a bit tedious. So it's just that I think they can be improved.

i would like to see a map where you could actually battle on ground and then with the press of a button go into aerial combat, would make for some unique battle scenerios |

Was nobody else irritated how enemies, whether on easy or hard, would block entire attack strings (including charge attacks and SP/air SP attacks)? I wouldn't mind seeing something that would allow breaking through the enemy - I'm not expecting something like Link's backslice (though that sort of fluid attack would be cool as hell). |
