Stage realism

I just think the stages need a little......Pizazz. What I mean is, that Dynasty warriors should have something to make it feel more like a battle. Like, lets say, horses lying dead, arrows stuck into trees, tents, fortresses, etc. And maybe sinking ships at Chi Bi....

What do you guys think about this?

Uh, they do have tents in some of the stages. :\ I could go for some arrow stuck on a tree or some sinking boats at Chi Bi but I find things on the battlefied to be much more of a cludder then something to make the stage look more alive and realistic. I can do without all that to be honest. I just go in the stages to kill enemies and have fun basically.

No what I mean is that Arrow stuck into tents and fortresses as well.

But, I want the game to seem more active, and as if im not the only one doing anything <_< .

Well you can also cut down bow a tower which adds a little realism/interactivity to the battle field.

I guess the games could do with an interactive/realism boost though (granted DW6 has started this movement, such as swimming).

Having said that, I wouldn't want it to expand to having dead corpses of horses/bodies lying around or blood and guts flying around either, I’d like the basic hack n' slash elements to be maintained as well without going overboard.

I wouldnt like blood and guts either.
Maybe if rocks were hurled, theyed be ably to stick into the castle, creating a hole?

Maybe, instead of a guy just dying, they can make him look like he's crawling away for help! That would be sick to look at!

And if in some stage a general is killed in that stage and it also happens in history, something special should happen to it!

I think they might do some more of these things in the future since they started a bit in DW6.
But I like they way it is now. Its really fun and there isn't too much going on. I'd like to see it more realistic in the numbers of troops though. I don't know if there are more in the PS3 version of DW6 but it usually feels to easy.
Plus I don't know if it would be hard for Koei to make rocks make holes in wall. Maybe if they put more of their effort into the next game. :hehe:

maybe adding realism will make the levels in general harder because of all the things going on? (such as +troop numbers, castles falling down due to siege weapons etc) I like ShinSoku's ideas too :D

Destructible environments with physics, and dynamic decals. That would totally bring life to a battlefield. The archer tower destruction animation is hilariously bad. I want that tower to have its leg split, topple over realistically, and affect its surroundings as it collapses. Shooters do that these days already, I don't see why Koei wouldn't be able to get with the program.

I think they sould really have some "scene destruction"making the battle like insane.Etc.
-Ship sinking,castle crumbling,gate smashing down and kill everyone who stand directly in front of the gate,ships can be drive to attack other ships,cracking effect on the floor or wall when you attack them,the gate got those arrow marks and weapon marks and do not give those gate just break open suddenly like this.

-Those water i want current and waves make it like it is a sea or river. and if got wind or rain make it real until you seems like cannot move or look carefully.

-Best thing is that,horse got life so that when they get shoot till one time that they die.And things like torch on the way can be toppled down and set some fire.

-And,I wish that all the corspe DO NOT disapear so that it could become a hill or moutain of corspe making player having a difficultly to go across.

-And if it is a moutain make it like real moutain do not like DW6's Mount just going round and round will be enough.

-Finally,why the charcter weapon just dissapear when start siwmming,so I wish they could strap thier weapon at their back or side to make it real.

They already having lag issues with the game, adding up bodies and such would prob be fatal.

But yesh I wouldn't mind more such things as more sound effects like swords clinging on the background or stuff.. It would be great if the units would have some visual effects of battle themselves like ripped clothes or damaged equipments.. Arrows staying visible for awhile after shot would be of course nice too..

I'm a bit afraid would you actually have time to notice all graphical thiniges with a fast paced game like this though ? That is why I would rather try the sound method of creating atmosphere.
