Taigong Wang~ *O* I am unspeakably happy. Character design looks sweet; I'm definitely curious about his move-set. It would be awesome if they added other characters from Feng Shen Yanyi, too =O They could put in Daji's sisters for more female characters. Yang Jian and his dog would be awesome, too. |

All of the sudden Koei is making character with white hair! Aesthetically, he is nice to look at, but at the same time he looks a bit bland to me. His outfit is okay but looks oddly resemblant of Zhuge Liang. His weapon intrigues me the most... all of my favorite characters are usually the characters with more unique weapon. Don't think I'm really that interested in WO2 though, so I may never know if I like him or not. Does his fishing pole have a blade on it or anything? Or will it shoot some sort of magic, I wonder? I mean, how intimidated would you be if you saw a guy on the battlefield wielding a fishing pole? XD |

How intimidated would you be if you saw a someone with an umbrella? Or a kendama? Or a flute? Or a shamisen? Or a ball? Or apparantly nothing? Or a fan? Or someone else with the same fan? Or a different fan? Or one last fan? Or two fans? Or her sister with two more fans? Things aren't always what they appear in this world, especially where fans are concerned :lol: Judging from the screenshots, he seems to be able to use some sort of magic, at least. Since he's new, Koei will probably overhaul him like Orochi and Da Ji, so he should end up being actually quite impressive. Don't give up on WO so soon! |

lol you're right :lol: in the video taigong seems to be sooo cool! he kinda can hit opponents with an anchor, creating some mystic spheres that he's able to blow at will..i definetly like that one okay maybe it was obvious..but hey! he's got the DW moveset! |

Well, any giant fish characters are screwed. Otherwise, I think he'll suck dude. Ignoring the fact that he was is an awesome character, the fishing pole and randoms creenshots of what look like yin-yang bombs don't make a great impression on me. |

I actually think he'll be a calm rival for Zhuge unlike the kinda stressed Sima Yi. It'd be GREAT for him to kinda come in and treat Zhuge and Sima like n00bs of strategy. As for the fishing pole being intimidating...if I ever saw someone wielding a weapon like that..I'd be terrified of the person even more. Because they are apparently doing SOMETHING and have some kind of skills that allows them to utilize such a pathetic excuse for a war weapon. Jackie Chan can make a shopping cart scary. Let's give Ziya a chance. |

Or a broomstick ... or crutch ... or <insert anything that can be handled by either hands or feet>  Anyways, watching him wield his fishing rod in VS mode, he doesn't look half bad moveset wise. Wielding such a small, light weapon he can really move that thing around quickly. He'll probably have lower attack stats than many, but let's hope his special(s) is/are decent. |

he's trying to prevent kyomori taika from performing the rebirth of orochi for i heard of his relation with the da ji-fox myth i think he'll end up to oppose her more than kiyomori, who has a rival in yoshitsune minamoto (the one that defeated him in real story) |

it's smt like an anchor, he can summon it at the end of many (maybe all) charges attacks, it has the power to create ying yang balls that he can blow up with his c1. |

Wow I can't believe I never posted here either. He looks nice! I seem to like strategists and am definately looking forward to using him. Some of his moves look very good and magic based. Although a fishing rod is hardly a weapon of choice it does look like it could be effective. We'll see I guess

He seems alright. A fishing rod isn't really a weapon,though I am looking forward to play him. His attacks are pretty fast,and quite amazing. |

Hmmm so Taigong Wang is a great strategist who likes fishing ne:) Well, personally he is a handsy Wu fei said that Taigong Wang is Zhou dynasty strategist.. Ummm.... I didnt know anything about Chinese history, so Zhou dynasty = Shu in DW???? That's why Liu bei showed some respect to him in the trailer? And Taigong Wang would be in Shu story? |

Zhou dynasty XI sec-256 BC Shu kingdom 221-263 AD Zhou dynasty is the 3rd chineese dynasty, with many legendary ppl and mythic happenings Shu-Han dynasty is in the three kingdoms era (220-263 AD), was ended by Wei (220-265 AD), then Wei was ended by Jin (265-316 AD, sima dynasty) then Jin ended Wu (222-280 AD) Jiang Ziya seems to be in shu story, snce he's with liu bei, guan yu, zhang fei in the video, i hope so
