Taigong Wang; Chinese God of Strategy

General Posts: 231 Group: Members Member #7,322 Joined: May 12, 2007	I suggest working up on chinese legend and myth for discussion of some of these characters, Taigong Wang is an immortal, but he can be killed when walking in the mortal world, he fought and casted out Da Ji, which in terms of the war that they both were fighting, means that Taigong Wang fought to keep the Immortal/Gods influence out of the mortal world so that humanity could find their own way. Da Ji represented the opposite.
	What do Oda Nobunaga, Guan Yu and Li Jue have in common? They were all killed by their subordinates. They also all serve Genbu for the cuase of Justice. His moveset is both pleasing to the eye AND effective, his english and japanese voice actors are both awesomesauce (for me, his english VA gives me more chills), character design is drool-worthy, and I love his attitude. He's cocky, but then the way he interacts with "the humans" is just so amusing. It's more on his learning first hand what it means to see a human being's true potential. Very very fun to play as. <3

After seeing his alternate costumes and reading his bio I kind of thought: What if, the dark haired costumes are from his time as "a normal mortal" and the white/silver/blond haired one are after he's been given the status of immortal/god? I really like the idea and will probably stick with it ^^ It would kinda of fit. Also it would go along with my theory about his "arrogance" and "cookieness", that I personaly kind of like. I REALLY hated that he got landed in Shu thought. Due to the biography I had hoped for him to somehow end up in Wu. 1) because most of my favourites are Wu-ers and 2) because I'd love to see some interaction between him, Lu Xun and Lu Meng and later Lu Bu. I dimly remember that one or two of those Lu's are his descendants and would have loved to see some "family" interaction ^o^. If you read the bio, you'll be able to figure that out for yourself too Also I'd have wished for a bit more bantering between Taigong Wang and Zuo Ci. I know there was some, but at the same time I felt it ... lacking something. All over I have to say despite so many time having passed since I played WO2, I still like this character very much. I'm looking forward to finishing his costume and representing him in september. ^^

(It was SJ who made that up) He's so cool, sexy and amazing, as he describes himself. And you better not mess with fishing rods since he wields it as a powerhouse weapon!
