 Well we all know that he is the new villain and tries to revive Orochi he looks amazing  and he appears in the game "Genji" i forgot the first game's name
so what do you think about him ? |

I think they should have removed the horns and those other things on his head... he looks rediculous with them. But I'm okay with him. Hopefully he has not a personality like Kotaro. Chaos, pandemonium! |

lol he has two small horns in his head lol i think Nobunaga will be shocked when he will see his ancestor hehe,though the Oda's are descendants of the Taira i think it will be a blast when Nobunaga meets him and fights or maybe joins him.

Nobunaga preffered to be known as a descendant of the Fujiwara rather than the Taira, so I guess Nobunaga will not like Kiyomori very much. |

Well he was a descendant of the Taira aswell some of the Oda are desc to the Fujiwara i think Nobunaga well the Oda's aren't good people in the PAST LOL xD having the blood of a Kamakura villain (Kiyomori lol) well Nobunaga doesn't cares about anyone so i think he wil hate him too much XD |

Hmmm aren't the Oda descended from Taira Chikazane, Kiyomori's great grandson, who changed his family name to Oda making Nobunaga almost a direct descadent of the Taira clan and Kiyomori? Also Shibata Katsuie is supposedly another of Taira blood of the same lineage as Nobunaga's. Should make for some pretty interesting dialogue between the three! On Kiyomori's actual appearance, he looks pretty cool maybe they over did the demonic thing with the horns and wtf is that sticking out of his chest? I like his weapon though, probably be another high power, wide range but slow speed type of guy. So what's his background in this is he trying to revive Orochi? I suppose the big question is who the hell revived him as a demonic looking badass? Sumgai he actually reminds me a lot of Jinpachi Mishima! you know the whole demonic grandpa thing lol. |

So is there anything special about him that made Koei put him in a game concerning Orochi and pretty much mythic figures? Or is he some kind of random famous guy Koei just pulled out of a hat and slapped him into the roster? |

Well, aside from certain obscure relations stated above, he seems to be pretty much random. They probably just chose him because he's a famous "evil" person, and they needed more real allies for Orochi. If you think about it, nobody except Da Ji actually likes the guy in the first game. Everyone who's fighting for him is either planning to kill him (Cao Pi/Lu Bu), afraid of him (Masamune), or looking for power as always (Dong Zhuo). Everyone except Da Ji and Lu Bu betrays him under the right conditions. Really, he's in desperate need of someone genuinely evil, and not just stupid pig evil (Dong Zhuo), but evil in a pure and cool way. |

I guess you could say he is the Sengoku equivalent of Dong Zhuo (at least in pop history) he and his clan used the Emperor/Imperial Court as his puppets to install their own selfish rule before being defeated by the "good" Minamoto. However unlike Dong Zhuo's case I feel Kiyomori and his clan don't deserve the the bad reputation they have, this is simply a case where history really is written by the victors, since the Minamato won the Taira and Kiyomori were branded as traitors, villains etc. just as the Minamoto would of been had the Taira won. |

Macv12, I think it's ironic that you mentioned Lu Bu being one of the few who actually never betrays Orochi where in history/Rot3k he was a traitor of traitors XD Anyways, about Taira...I'm not really all that knowledgeable on his history and whatnot, but I hope he plays out as a good villain, even if his family really doesn't deserve it. Using a rosary as his weapon, though...Should have been a different weapon, a rosary would have probably gone well for Honganji Kennyo were he ever to get into a Warriors game since a rosary would go more for a religious figure than a general, don't you think? |

Hm, I never realized how ironic Lu Bu's behavior is in this game  It does seem odd that such an "evil" person would use a device like a rosary. However, if it really is in the Buddhist sense, I suppose they could get away with it. Buddhism is more about personal journey than organized worship or anything, so it could make sense. After all, Buddhists aren't really supposed to fight or kill, but there were still militant Buddhists sects, such as some of those whom Nobunaga fought (I think). But as for Honganji Kennyo's weapon...that prayer wheel on his back looks pretty painful, doesn't it? |

You may be right, it's been a looong time since I've played the levels in Samurai Warriors where he's shown up in, so I really only remember him being bald XD And then there's his interpretation in Sengoku Basara where he's a money-obsessed dude with a polearm of some sort. Still, I suppose your argument makes sense, though. I still can't see some fearsome general dude running around beating people with prayer beads, though, but at least his moves will be unique XD |

Wait, Is Honganji coming back in this? Im confused now 0.o Also, to DarkDante, he wasn't the villain of the Sengoku Period, but he brought about the end of the Heian period, and because of that the samurai began. |

Nah, as far as we know Honganji isn't returning, I was just citing him as an example of whom I would think would be more suited to having a rosary as a weapon were he to become a PC over Taira getting it |

Taira Kiyomori is the best character I've seen so far, from appearance to background. I don't see why Kagekiyo would've been a better character, Kiyomori is more involved in Yoshitsune after all. |

This is a pretty good addition seeing as Kiyomori could add depth to Yoshitsune's story but would he affect the story of any other character. Kiyomori looks pretty evil I must say but he kind of reminds me of Jinpachi. |

Kiyomori has the potential to be a pretty decent character. he has an interesting weapon and already appears to be forming some type of relationship with Lu Bu as seen from the glimpse of him in one of the movies. esides the fact that he'll more than likely have a rivalry with Yoshitsune. He might just be taking Lu Bu ender his old evil wings.
