A Hero of Chaos Posts: 455 Group: Members Member #11,011 Joined: November 11, 2007	I would first clear the starting area from all enemies. Then I would move on to Huang Zhong and help him taking Mt. Cha Qi. After that,Xiahou Yuan begins to move and you should defeat him. But he's really tough. Then you can claim Mt. Ding Jun with your allies.

It's impossible, really...the fire always takes my HP back to half no matter where I run (avoiding the fire is impossible I guess?) I started to get the first base up and beat the general there. Then I move down to Liu Bei and help getting a second base (beating Fu-shi-ren and Ma Zhong I think). Sometime later the fire comes and well, I can't beat Gan Ning. Any help on that mission? It's almost depressing. I also tried to run back to the first base and get a heal but well...Liu Bei died meanwhile.

I also tried to run back to the first base and get a heal but well...Liu Bei died meanwhile. clear the right lower side of generals, the Gan Ning ambush occurs, finish up what you started and wipe out the officers at the bottom, it makes for fewer going after Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang. then go kill Gan Ning and all his officers(sorry, i did'nt have too much difficulty with him, it's been along time since i played tho'. and there is no way to avoid the fire attack.) then head North and around to get to Lu Xun before he enters the maze, kill him and his officers and anyone in between. by this time Zhao Yun will start faltering, go help him and wipe out all the folks in that archer post. head North again and get anyone coming at the main camp, then go down the West side and take the base there. finally head South and deal with the Wu main camp. it's one of my least favorite levels in DW6, and takes a bit of strategizing to do it properly. the main thing is DO NOT let Lu Xun get into the maze, he will kill Zhuge Liang quickly. hope this helps.

I'm playing Normal-mode, but everytime I fight more than 1 officer I get knocked down and as soon as I stand up I get hit by a combo which ends in my death, lol. For some reason the officers charging at Liu Bei's main base are much stronger than the ones around the other bases. It's a bad joke I have to fight them all at once while at half HP. Everytime I try to get a heal Liu Bei dies or Gan Ling follows me..and hell, that guy is FAST, lol. BTW what spear would you guys use, I got one with Concentration, one Balance, one with arrow deflection and one with an ability called "true musou" or something like that. Should I choose my weapon by the ability or the attack power? EDIT: Wow, this game is so BAD it's unbelievable. You do everything right and almost are done with the mission - BOOM. Officer hit you 2-3 times = dead. Nice, do it again baby, do it again. Not even possible to save or anything, no checkpoints. Playing on Normal mode and I get two shotted by Lu Bu in Mission no. 2 of Zhang Fei. How is this fair? Don't tell me you can do it with a little skill, it's just **ing luck if you can do it. You are lucky if no officer hits you, but if he does you are ed no matter what. Can't believe I bought this piece of game. It doesn't even have to be Mr. Overpowered Lu Bu, it's the same with all the other officers, except the lower tier ones. I always concentrate to take out lower ranked ones first, but it doesn't help. With a bit luck I am able to take them all out just right before I get two shotted by the boss. Holy moly. I think I'll stay with Warriors Orochi until the next game is released. What are you supposed to do to get that fatty?

But to be honest, considering that they're the same people who can't seem to pronounce "Naruto" (Or any other character's name on that show for that matter.) the right way, their opinions barely mean squat. Posts: 2,736 Group: Members Member #4,229 Joined: November 17, 2006	VERY MUCH AGREED! it's all yellow journalism anyhow. certain reviewers/editors/sites/magazines get paid by the gaming companies/developers to give certain games/franchises high scores and praise, and to whomp on others. it's exactly the same as the political press. you just have to take ALL reporting/reviewing with a grain of salt and make up YOUR OWN mind. i may factor in what someone has reported before i purchase a game or vote, but i do my own research to make final decisions. we really should'nt just be sheep and follow...

Tiger General Posts: 442 Group: Members Member #18,600 Joined: September 27, 2008	I never really wanted this game, due to the cloning/lack of Musou modes and everything, but seeing as Gundam Musou 2 is still a long way away from coming out (the end of March feels like forever), I have stumbled across Dynasty Warriors 6 at the price of �13.58, which is far too cheap for me to say no (I'd have really thought about getting it if I saw it for �20). Happy days, this should come in a couple of days and then I've got something else to take up my time.

Tiger General Posts: 442 Group: Members Member #18,600 Joined: September 27, 2008	Game arrived on thursday, I've finished Musou mode with Guan Yu, but it took a lot of time (I kept getting one-shotted by Lu Bu and Cao Ren (at Fan Castle)). Moving onto Zhou Yu now, I'm getting into this game again. One obvious quirk is the levelling up system. It pained me when twice I completely ran through the Fan Castle stage, levelled up about 3 or 4 times on both tries, and then I was one-shotted by Cao Ren and had to start from my original weaker level again. In Gundam Musou, the levels you gain in a mission stay with you even if you fail the stage, so you can go back and retry the level stronger than you were before. Ah well.

This game is shaping up to be something to shout about (for me). 1) The cloning issues. Now, I understand that many people are disappointed with the duplicate movesets. Well, while I am, I also realised that identical movesets do not translate into identical playing style. When I played on a friend's copy, after using Zhen Ji and seeing Diao Chan in action, I thought, "Zhen Ji can't do mirror images." After unlocking Yue Ying and comparing her with Shang Xiang, I get the idea that Yue Ying will be tougher earlier, while Shang Xiang is kinda heavy on Musou (all those +max Musou icons before getting her final Renbu). So, yes, the playing styles will be similar but adjustments are needed. 2) Same voices + new looks = slight disorientation. Liu Bei looks too young for his deep voice. 3) Horse system = not bothering with horses for 6. For the first time playing DW games, I started every stage without a horse. 4) Taking more liberty = Interesting look at the franchise. Edited by yezhanquan, Jan 20 2009, 01:30 PM.
