But there was a sense when KOEI first made these games that they set some historical precedent. From the generics of DW2, before items were introduced. To SW1 with its classic Japanese music and gloomy/we're hopless stages. And Nobunaga wields a glowing sword everyone, not an actual lightsaber. Its still at least a sword. Lol not to be an argumentative bastard, but we don't have a GREAT look at Minamoto's. It might not be a real laser sword. And to prove I'm not just giving you a hard time, I 100% agree with you on the gloomy (even depressing) gameplay of SW1.

Its still at least a sword. Very true bro, very true. But I think KOEI figures since they are already making some crazy weapons like fishing rods and a giant rosary, then why not have a light saber. But none the less, I do like his design and can't wait to see him fight. I do hope that the next character is Chinese though. KOEI should use this particular franchise to exploit it and experiment by doing so. I would dislike to see any of these lightsaber weapons in a Dynasty Warriors game, though. It's acceptable enough to me in Warriors Orochi and should stay there. But lets face it; DW has never been realistic.

I'd RATHER see a real weapon, but I'm so thrilled by new characters in general, I don't even care if they suck. However...I hope they have at LEAST one more. 89 characters would bother me...make it a even 90. (Wow I sound spoiled.)

They did fight each other after Yoritomo decided to usurp the imperial power, and Yoshitsune lost. So a whole good brother vs. bad brother thing wouldn't be that far fetched.

Thats 5 new characters for the game - thats beginning to make me thing the impressive Orochi series is here to stay in the long run. As a sidenote im taking it that Yoshitsune is most likely to be a "baddie" type character personality wise

I predict a 'lightsaber' fight between Nobunaga and this dude; not just because both of them have lightsaber-like weapons, but because Nobunaga is a descendant of the Taira, and Yoshitsune finding that out might provoke a fight...Then again, Nobunaga isn't exactly fond of his ancestors either, so who knows? 2. Yoshitsune reminds me more of Nagamasa from Sengoku Basara than anyone else right now...mostly because I'd never seen Saint Seiya XD 3. I think it's okay to have a futuristic weapon or two in Warriors Orochi. Orochi bends time to give himself a battleground, so it's not so farfetched to believe that a small rip from the future opens as a side effect letting some futuristic artifacts in. WO is Koei's way of breaking the mold...I mean, they've done games mostly around the same basic storyline (Sangoku and Sengoku) for over a decade now, perhaps longer. Let them exercise their creative muscles in the side series, and expect the historical aspects from the main series ^^;

青龙 Posts: 1,712 Group: Moderators Member #6,080 Joined: March 15, 2007	Yeah another new character ^^ Minamoto no Yoshitsune looks like a knight from Saint Seiya (as some others ones said too) but his looks is great with nice hair, yellow armour, cool style, typicaly Japanese lol He seems to be an excellent adds, now we see the look (he seems to be charismatic), hope his moveset will be good too ^^ Thanks for the news & the infos about him !! ^^

I always wanted a lightsaber in a warriors game y'know.(Even though Nobunaga's did give me some joy, his is pure energy.) He does look cool....even though I didn't expect the saber. I'm beginning to like Warriors Orochi even more than before now. My favorite giant sword wielding swordsman is back. And now this guy.
