Shin Orochi is a more powerful version of Orochi. That's all I know so far. Yet both are playable. Orochi will never encounter himself in his story because his storymode is a prequel, explaining how he got into power in the first game.

Commander Posts: 829 Group: Members Member #8,559 Joined: July 16, 2007	Shin Orochi has an insanely cheap C1 that drains your character of their entire Musou gauge, and a new R1 with an insane area of effect. Other than that, he seems to be the same as regular Orochi.

I say its the hair they gave him that makes him look different <__< And if Orochi is in the game, Does this mean we can have Orochi and Shin Orochi in your team on the same stage

All I can say is that, from the vid, the serpent thingy on his head is not there, the three eyes on his torso isn't there. The serpent head still is on his shoulder though. Maybe it's like his more Offensive form

First Lieutenant Posts: 147 Group: Members Member #9,423 Joined: August 29, 2007	Well, in Japanese, 'Shin' can mean 'True' or 'Better'. Shin Orochi is probably just the fully reawakened Orochi after he is awakened at the end of the game. I haven't played the game yet, don't care for spoilers, and can't read Japanese anyways, so all this is is just an educated guess XD So yea, Shin Orochi is not another Orochi, he is simply the more powerful form, akin to the relationship between Gouki and Shin Gouki in Street Fighter.

A more powerful iteration. Which in this case means he peeled away his armor and his hair turned white? Isn't that how DBZ characters power up? Take off your shirt and make your hair glow another color? :lol:

Shin-Akuma >< Shin-Orochi Guess this will be a better end boss than the original. I played last nite with Taishi Ci and pwned Orochi before he could announce himself with C1(iced) > dir+R1 > C1 = DEAD SNAKE GUY! But if this new Shin-Orochi is better and tougher, then by all means...bring it.

Reminds me of Soul calibur 3 where there was zasalamel who also holds scythe, then transforms into abyss which is similar to zasalamel. So am guessing Shin Orochi is this abyss........

Probably just replace his hair with snakes and make his skin a darker colour and have snake-skin armour. Disappointing, Koei.

Besides the obvious fact that he wears less armor and white hair. He has the laser thing for a new C1. And his C2 is different, as he didn't go into the air on it before.
