Besides Zhang Fei being my favourite character from the novel, ever since his revamp in DW6, he's become one of the most destructive characters in the game, I also want to know what people think of him cause I haven't heard much about him for a long time! |

My favourite aspect of Zhang Fei was introduced in DW5; when Xing Cai was. Seeing him as a worried, adorable daddy figure is always when I love him the most. That or when he's a lovable drunk. The scene with him, Xing Cai, Ina, and Tadakatsu in MOMS is one of my favourites. 'Don't fight to hard, alright?! ;_;'. |

Zhang Fei is turned into my faviorate character in dw6.I love that he is so powerful and also liked the fact that he disliked and thought of Lui Bei as a weakling at the start of his musuo mode in dw6. I wish he interacted with more characters in his cutscenes in dw6 though instead of being with Guan Yu and Lui Bei all the time. |

He's always protective of Xing Cai when she goes to battle which is different cause usually he acts like a complete brute. |

Zhang Fei is a good charctor in all the warriors games his old VA was brilliant (RIP btw) his new VA aint as good but aint 2 bad either i also like his DW6 moveset its so oblivious |

I've always loved Zhang Fei from his part in the novel as the meanest and most defiant of his brothers,to the video games where he is very powerful and always cool.I could never get tired of Zhang Fei his voices are almost always perfect. Zhang Fei will always be my fav. |

His DW4 - DW5 voice was the perfect voice for Zhang Fei, while his new voice does a good job, stiil his old voice actor will be missed. |

I liked Zhang Fei in the Novel, and I love his DW5 moveset. From watching TinyCaterpiller's Cg's from DW6 on youtube, I like him. He has cool cutscenes, everything... |

Can't believe I havne't posted here yet. Well Zhang Fei ties for my second favorite Shu character with Ma Chao. He's never looked or played better than he has in DW6 IMO. And as LDZ said, his VA still does a pretty good job. I love how it seems like he's slightly drunk in the way he fights. Like they finally decided to integrate part of his characteristics into his MS. I can only hope that Zhang Fei will continue to improve.

Can't believe I have not either Gtown... Zhang Fei, for personality I rate him highly but to use I put him way down on my list of choices. His lack of foot speed drives me insane, trying to get from A to B with his speed is a joke, and means you must rely on a horse to travel long distances. (In WO it's not bad, but DW...). It is sad about his VA though, the original he had was great (RIP), although his replacement since is not far behind, VA wise he is still quite good. |

Not posted here either. I don't know where the other went since this April 2008 was just a few months ago. Oh well... Like I've said in various places, I don't mind his voice from his son. Some of his battle quotes are to a great standard. Zhang Fei to me when I first started to play Dynasty Warriors 2/3 was not very entertaining despite the fact that I adore Shu in general (though with a speed upgrade he was fast and furious.) The same applied to Guan Yu. But now, they have completely changed my mind and are much more fun to play with. Kudos to Koei for making this happen. As he's literally an animal in battle, ripping the enemy to shreds with his drunken style and personality which hasn't been changed much. |

Not to mention that his weapon totally rocks now. I mean it was kind of iffy before to me. I always thought how is it that he has more attack power than Guan Yu with his somewhat small spear. But now not only is the blade huge but he's got another on the other end. I'm just hoping we can get some interaction between him and Lu Bu in the future games, especially if both keep the weapons they have now. I could just imagine a duel scene. It would be so awesome. |

Yeah, he had his somewhat rivalry with Lu Bu in DW5. I guess Koei gave it to him to give him more of a story-purpose to connect from Hu Lao Gate where the three brothers faced him. Since Liu Bei and Guan Yu had plenty to show us whilst Zhang Fei really just had his Chang Ban side. |

Yeah, now it seems that KOEI has turned a corner and Zhang Fei is always arround Liu Bei. It's almost like he's his body guard in DW6. The only thing that I don't like about his personality in it is the fact that he's always talking about how angry he is. In DW5 he seemed more level headed. I think a combination of the two personalities would be very good. Although the scene of him getting angry at Zhuge Liang and Zhao Yun was nice. P.S. Is it just me or did Zhang Fei shrink in this? I could've sowrd that he was taller in the previous games. Either that or Zhao Yun had an intermediary growth spurt. |

A bit of brotherly-love does no harm. I've not thought about him shrinking, I guess it wasn't too noticeable then. But true, he's like his bodyguard that comments about how weak he (Liu Bei) looks, haha.
 Guan Yu is not really Liu Bei's bodyguard because he has much more of a story, I suppose. He goes in a different direction after the start whereas Zhang Fei stays with Liu Bei. |

Yeah, but I kind of liked how KOEI normally had all three of them together alot. But I guess it is a nice change of pace. Though seeing them together every now and then wouldn't hurt. Makes me wonder if they'll make Zhang show up at Fan castle like they did in DW5. THey could still do it in GP's story mode, assuming he gets one. And of course I'm still dying to see the Zhang Fei/ Ma Chao duel scene. Though I don't know how well Ma would fare with that huge sword. Zhang Fei is like twice as dangerous in this as he was before. |

Yeah, hoping for Ma Chao to at least swing with relatively good speed with that new weapon. Otherwise his popularity will: Before --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warriors Orochi ---------------------------- ? Maybe a bit lower? :lol: DW6S ------ He does show up in Fan Castle but not in a cutscene like in DW5, if thats what you were saying. But that stage from DW5XL would be great to see again. Though this time I don't think Ma Chao will be able to jump high and land like a superhero. :lol: |

Yes, the cutscene is imperative. The more the better. And I agree about Ma Chao. He got murdered in WO, though I'm actually pretty intrigued by him having a sword. I'm anxious to see what he can do with it. Though I'm almost positive that Zhang Fei will be faster. Would be insane if Ma Chao still attacked faster than him. |

Yes, remember that the weapon weight doesn't apply to WO, thank heavens. So there might be a chance that Koei will go all unrealistic with this, hopefully. Otherwise it'll damage his fame. |

Zhang Fei is totaly awsome they compared Tadakatsu Honda to him apparently in the games. He really outdone himself in the battle of Chang Ban (i think it is that level) |

Yeah they did that historically as well if I remember right. I can't remember if it was ofr him holding off the Takeda at Mikatagahara or the Toyotomi at Komaki though. |

Zhang Fei is deffinitely supposed to be the man of Chang Ban, But like ive mentioned many times, In DW6, he doesnt exactly stop guys much at the bridge. And you cant even stop to have fun and fight with him or you will lose the battle for sure(Wei Side). I have always liked to call him a drunk bear
