My choice for both games would have to be Zhou Yu. I like the stats he starts out with and his tactics too. In DT2, I was able to get his strength well enough to the likes of Sun Ce, almost passing him and keeping him well balanced. |

I picked other, for Li Ru was not up there. In the game he doesn't play so much of a part, and he deserves a much larger role. In the novel, he helps Dong Zhuo through many situations and gives him good plans. He needs more credit than he has! |

Guo Jia has to be the best. His tactics were awesome, but his winning Chi Bi clip in DT1, that was simply the best :lol: |

Suicide Charge on Zhou Yu eh? Ahaha I remember that. Yeah he was a great strategist, just dies on halve of the game for Cao Cao. Was it just me, or did he sound like the Sima Yi from DW? (Maybe DW4.) |

Hm, Jia Xu I know for a good fact his Int is above normal. His War however, I didn't know. I should check on that. I thought it was around the 20's or so. But yes I agree with Jia Xu as well, his tactics in Dynasty Tactics are like Cao Cao's. But he keeps his own difference. Usually when the man and Jia Xu are in the same unit it's almost like having a double of each other. |

Not to sound so very biased, but according to a Kongming.net bio, Man Chong never made a strategic mistake. The only time his plans failed is when they weren't followed. Though he never had any major campaigns like SY and ZL, he did help with taking down Guan Yu. Other than him I'd have to say...Zhuge Liang. <_< |

I don't think Guo Jia is a very good officer in this game, he is far too weak. His only use is his huge intelligence rating, which allows him to give a lot of other units to create a chain. Overall, the 3 best strategists in the game as far as actual abaility and capablility during the battles in the game, I would say they are the following: (in no order) Zhuge Liang Sima Yi Zhou Yu With this in mind, I created an exclusivley Liu Biao officer army led by Liu Biao himself, using the Kuai brothers as strategists, and I found that they were not bad, once they had been levelled up a bit. There are probably around 10 or 12 potentially great strategist type officers in this game, here are just a few..... Tian Feng Ju Shou Fa Zheng Lu Su Xu Shu Cheng Yu Pang Tong Lu Su |

Ah, they are all good ones, but my personal best remain these 4: Guo Jia, Fa Zheng, Chen Gong and Xu Shu. Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang are good, but to me they are nothing compared to the above stated. |

Jia Xu, Zhuge Liang and Tian Feng are the best, even though you only get the last 2 later in the game. I can't vote for the rest because they are more average and Guo Jia, because he dies in some scenarios making leveling him up useless (the same goes for Sun Ce) |

Easy. Zhuge Liang. Not really that strange since I own a copy of his famous work "Mastering The Art of War" + Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". (The best two books I own I might add). Then comes Lu Xun in DT1 (I think). Lu Xun sure looks more "bad a*s" in the DT games. |

Zhou Yu is my favourite, his tactics are just pure madness. I also like Gou Jia for his stats and some of his tactics, Zhuge Liang has this awesome battle where he confuses all Wei officers in DT2 as well
