Mine was a few years back, I started off with VIII. Still don't regret buying the game. I do as well enjoy playing it.

In the UK we only got ROTK VIII, which I really enjoyed playing. I was very disappointed that no others were released over here.

I played VIII for ages, and I might be your age, if I think I know what you're referring to.

I have a friend that plays Rotk XI and he is in the UK, I think he mentioned something called, Swap Magic.

My first ever KOEI game was ROTK 1 for NES. I think my dad got it when he bought a big lot of games for the system from some Korean dude back in 92. I didn't fully understand the game too well and ROTK 4: Wall of Fire for the PS1/PC became my first ROTK game that I understood completely.

RTK V, not still love it because it's the first RTK V game I played 24 hours with my friends from morning til late night - didn't sleep at all you know how crazy I was at that time. Then after V, I went back to III, IV, VI then I stopped it cause already got addicted with DW2 or 3 at that time then jumped straight to XI :P I just played RTK DS last month on my DS lol!

I haven't played any. >.>

Although, that is because I have in fact never seen any of them, I haven't researched it extensively admittedly, but I believe very few of them got released as PAL versions...

Yes, it's a shame that Koei does not release world wide. In fact, they would have more fans for a certain series. I believe Rotk VIII was released in you're area. But it may be hard to look into. I suggest buying online if you wanna try the series. Modifying the PS2 could be a first step.

To be honest, it's hard to get the Warriors fans "addicted" to the RTK games now. It's done by research, only us who played RTK before Warriors games will still playing this game, it's just hard to turn the hack n slash fans into the strategy game fans so yeah.

I know exactly what you mean there Chin. I grew up playing the series, so it wasn't very hard for me at all. After a while, I wanted to play with others I showed the series to the majority of my friends and family, though they got the hang of it I only got one friend into it. The rest of them found it ''boring'' and thought they should just spend their time with other games.

I think Kessen falls under that same category, Kessen struggles to find new fans, but originals like me would go ape if we finally got another, or even PSP remakes.

I'd love nothing more then another Kessen game, sadly few Warriors fans share that view, I imagine ROTK has a similar problem. :/

Still, if I ever did stumble accross an ROTK title I'd probably buy it, just to see what it's about.

I played ROTK IX first. And I played it waay after I got into DW. Then I got X , XI and VII. That's the ROTK games I got, and all of em are damn awesome.

I've played I once (I think), II lightly, III and IV rather extensively. Then, it's a LONG pause until XI, and I only had a sneak peek so far.

I first saw ROTK 8 when my cousin brought over to my house a few years ago.He Had already introduced me into Dynasty warriors and thats how I thought that the gameplay would be.When we played it I was a little disapointed but then he kept bringing it over along with 9,10,11 and now I own one.

Yang Song FTW!

my first was ROTK 2, its was a good game, you can always cheat by selecting multiple players and keep on submitting the money to 1 player,....then forfeit the player who ran out of money..lol

I got hooked on RoTK IX. But I've played VII before it, but back then I was like 11/12 or something and my English/RTK knowledge wasn't that good, so didn't find VII interesting. But, when I grew older and IX came out, I just played it, then played II, III, VII and XI, currently looking for X, because I never found an english ps2 release here. I actually got a PS2 RtkX Iso right now, tried burning it onto a DVD but it never worked for me. :p. Well, I guess I'ma order X online whenever my Rtk novel gets here, <3moss roberts.
SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM KAUSU:
Me thinks that Ike should get ze Modship. Why so? It's pretty simple. I'll modestly point out why:
- Friendliness and great charisma.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Is expert at using BOTH of his functional brain cells.

8 would be the 1st one I set down and really played. Before that, I played Uncharted Waters, Vive La Emperour, Liberty or Death, and Gengis Kahn 2.

RTK XI was the first for me. And it's the only I have. I don't really bother about the other few that were released in PAL countries.
