In your opinion, what DW game had the best stages? Please state why. In my opinion, DW3 had the best. Why? because of the sheer variety and placement of obstacles and such. I expecially liked the Mt. Ding Jun stage. DW2's Yellow turban stage was frickin sweet as well. |

DW6, in terms of design and intricacy. Topography maps WISH they could analyze these. For sheer number of stages? DW4. Real battles, fictional battles, battles that could or couldn't happen.... grand. |

Maybe we should exclude DW6, considering it is the most interactive...This topic is mostly about stage design anyway, as in things you dont see in the other games, or just fun to play at. For me DW5 didnt have great stages at all...none were really fun to play at... |

3 has the best stages me thinks. For one thing, Mt Ding Jun was actually on a mountain slope in 3 instead of this hill crap we get in 6. Plus He Fei castle looks the best in 3. It actually looks like a place people live in. Just no one's moved in yet. |

I think you accidentally made a typo. You see, DW6 is the game with real mountains. |

Ding Jun in 6 does not have real mountains. I much prefer the slope idea of 6 since then it feels more plausible that you're on a large mountain. |

Hard time to choose between dw4 and dw6. Dw 4 gave lots of minor stages such as bo wang po to shine while dw6 stages have excellent graphics. So i'll vote for both. |

What are you talking about? I played Mt. Ding Jun 2wice today, and I went up Mt. Cha Qi & Mt. Ding Jun both times. You go around the mountain on the path all the way to the top of the mountain. There are no hills involved. |

But they aren't. They're mountains. You start at the bottom and go around the mountain path (which is how you would go about getting to the top of a mountain if you went horseback riding or drove a car in real life) and then you reach the top. |

I must say DW6 has excellent stage designs and all those interactable bonuses. But although DW3 had flat surfaces, I'm going to have to vote for it due to the actual stage content in general. After all, its not just a design that makes a stage great fun. DW4 to me used the maps too often and I dislike the darker themes in SW1 and DW4, so that's why I'm not voting for either of those two. DW5 to me was nothing special apart from a few levels such as He Fei Castle. The music also helped that matter and got praise from me, though I found DW3's version more interactable, challenging and enjoyable. |

It's a tie between Dynasty Warriors 3 and 6 for me. DW3: I loved Mt Ding Jun, YTR, He Fei Castle (the awesome traps, the broken bridge. I still get lost playing this stage. :P), He Fei, Hu Lao Gate, Wu Zhang Plains, ect. Even the "Bandit Fortress" style levels were pretty interesting DW6: By far some of the best stage designs. Mountains actually look like mountains, forests look like forests. And it's just so fun to roam around the stages. I just wish there was double the amount of 'em though. What happened to Tong Gate? Bo Wan Po? Nanman Campaign?

The Mountain Bandit Campaign in DW3 was basically fiction and the same thing as Piratte Hunt in SW2. The difference being that the first was much shorter to complete. They were quite interesting I suppose, but even so not the most fun. |

i only have DW2 and DW5.. i must say that the second was far more challenging and that battles where much longer.. anyway in the fifth there were pelenty of cutscenes strategies where useful and more realistic.. so i guess i'll say 5 |

in terms of layout and design, 3 has the best levels, tho 6 have become the most expansive, biggest since 3! 4s lvls were way to over used and way to small! 5 had some really good lvls, loved the he fei castle in 5, but overall ima go with 3 having the best (and most fun) lvls! |
