I think DW3 had the best stages. My favorite was Ru Nan with Meng Huo's forces. That stage had boulders, fire arrows, and Lu Bu. |
|
All the tough guys are too easy to fight in WO2, aren't they. Nerfed difficulty is boring. | |

He Fei Castle in DW5 because I like going here, going there....beating this warrior, that warrior... making this strategy, that strategy...

I've only played three games, DW4, DW5, and DW6. But I have to say DW6. The stages are all a great size. And they have so many different levels. It feels more realistic and its really refreshing. The traps are great too and the different things you do on the battlefields. The gates, ladders, swimming (even though I never did that). Only thing I didn't like about DW6 stages is I was confused at first. So much less simple that other DW games. But now that I know how to get around its a good thing.

DW2: The stages were big which made the battles drag out a bit longer when doing everything on foot and trying to get around even on a horse doesn't help either since they go really slow. DW3: I don't own this game so I wouldn't know what the stages were like. DW4: I thought the stage for this game were great except for the Nanman stages with all the poison swamps and blocked entrances that you couldn't get through unless you had an elephant. DW5: I don't have a problem with most of the stages in this game except some of them are too small while others are a bit too much to maneuver around in terms of length and curvy roads. DW6: This game has the best stages ever in terms of design and how they looked. The only problem I had with them though, are the curvy roads which had me confused on several occassions. Overall I voted for DW6 even though I feel that the stages for DW4 were just as great. |

DW3 had the best stages in terms of how huge they were, and how hard they were. But I like how fun stages in DW5 were. Plus, you got to pick your own music for each stage. |

DW4 was the best, even though it used the same maps repeatedly (He Fei map was used for He Fei, Two Qiaos, Shi Ting and Campaign against Sun Jian..) it had the most stages out of ANY Dynasty Warriors game. Now if Koei could repeat this, but make every stage different in some way.. that'd be grand. |

Dw6 in my opinion. A fresh start from everything else, no to mention they are fairly large. Other than that, I would probably say Dw4..whilst you progressed in the game they've gotten way tougher; which in Dw5, such a feature was lost |

i agree DW6 for miltimple reasons, the least reason is graffics because that doesnt really come under the catagory but then there is the the ability to swim and to climb and the the battles seem more acurate and manuverable. |

I agree. 4's He Fei castle was excellent. Graphic wise, 6 was the best. So 4 and 6 are def the top 2 for having good stages |

Each game has to me few good and few bad stages. So far 4 has most good ones with least disappointing ones though. 6 is a good second with 5 being third. If I had 3 I would possibly change my opinion. |

Yeah I agree, simply because they were more of challenge, although that could be because I wasnt that good at DW when I played it but still they were the best |

All of the games have good stages, although i prefer DW4 because it had 3 epic end battles, Battle of Xu Chang, Jian Ye, Cheng Du |

DW3. I loved how there were so many ways to do a map in DW3. Changban in DW3 is my DW favorite map of all time.

DW6 becuase It's designs are both Unique and highly interactive Since you couldn't Slide down hills or Climb Ladders and the stages that Had water In Previous games were just there for scenery which doesn't appeal to someone like me. Although Some stages from Previous DW games were my favorites such as DW5 He Fei Castle: the majority of this stage was like a chinese maze if it wasn't for the map i'd surely of gotten lost in it and it had some decent interactivity in it as well ![]() DW4 Yi Ling: this was a fun stage to do since you had to do a fair amount of tasks to get through it which i found to be most fun

Hmm..Dynasty Warriors 5. I really love the stages in the game because they seem to have a vibrant feel like Dynasty Warriors 3, but they had some added complexities with made the level feel longer and you are encouraged more to explore it. I also really liked how Dynasty Warriors 4 had a large variety of stages! With Dynasty Warriors 3 I loved the events in the stages, but a lot of the time I did not know what was going on. Otherwise it would get my vote..<.< Edited by Ghost Of Da Qiao, Nov 14 2009, 12:26 AM.

DW3 had some memorable stages and were by far my favorite until DW6 Came out as if there's one thing KOEI perfected with DW6 was the stages as you had more interaction with it in various ways He Fei is my favorite because of it's constant hills and bridges making it tough terrain to get around of Course the later stages are a lot tougher but i just like He Fei for some reason so i'd say DW6 does.
