Alrighty for me: Best #5-Gracia-Incident at Shizugatake Yeah... Oichi's and No's were pretty funny, but by adding the plucky Gracia and her master Magoichi into the mix, things just got crazier. #4-Motochika-Nobunaga's Invasion Motochika VS the mighty Oda army, in an invasion that WOULD have happened in history, had it not been for Honnoji. #3-Hideyoshi-Battle of Sekigahara "I was wondering what would happened if I died...and now I know the answer..."One of my personal favorite what if Western Army situations, and ironically, despite the Mori and Kobayakawa not betraying you, there are still defectors in the battle... #2-Tadakatsu-Tournament of Champions The only ToC that I actually like, you actually have a slight challenge here, especially when you're getting his fourth weapon. It's also to my recollection the only stage where Tadakatsu's theme plays while you are actually playing as him. #1-Nobunaga-Nobunaga Unites Japan 2 reasons why I this is my all time favorite: 1, it's pretty much Nobunaga VS everyone else, and 2, we get to see a change in him when the Akechi remnants come to his aid. Worst: #5-Mitsunari/Ginchiyo-Edo Campaign A lot of people have this as a stage already and it's not cool at all that Mitsunari and Ginchiyo have the exact same stage, but it's saving grace from being higher on the list is the fact that this one is more like a showdown, a polar opposite of the Osaka Campaign. #4-Kotaro-Defense of Odawara Castle You already start off in a pretty bad position, and there is one more difficulty after another, whether it's the defeat of your allies, or Nene's fire bomb attack, it's just crazy... #3-Ieyasu-Last Stand Against Ieyasu Osaka Campaign was Ieyasu's last stage and he had already united Japan, so what was the point of this? The basic geist of the battle is that its a skirmish, thats it. #2-Yukimura/Yoshihiro-Battle of Sekigahara For such a huge important battle in history, Sekigahara was severely overused, and this gaiden was one of the worst, just a deus ex machina thing. This would have been number one, had it not been for... #1-Kenshin/Shingen-Conquest For Kyushu OK, it's already bad enough that these 2 have the EXACT SAME GAIDEN STAGE, but the difficulty is a nightmare, especially if you're trying to get Kenshin's 4th. I swear I didn't have that much of a problem with the other fourth weapons! OK, so thats mine. Whats everyone elses? |

Best(in no particular order): #Toshiie -Turn those yellow forces into allies and the last fight with Katsuie, plus only dream stage has Motochika and Yoshimoto in it and Kanetsugu. But the best thing is there no other defeat condition beside Toshiie is defeated......  #Tadakatsu -Only stage his theme playing when you play as him in SW2, and I like how enemies devide in group, this stage is quite challenging. #Nagamasa -Get to see Nagamasa fight for the Oda, the most interesting is Yukimura and Kanetsugu are in the enemy force....they obsess with "gi" too. #Nobunaga -Nobunaga beat everyone but didn't kill anyone..he finally agree with Mitsuhide in this stage and the help of Akechi remnants. #Motochika -Nobunaga invade Shikoku instead of Hideyoshi, and Magoichi arrive to help Motochika...very exciting battle, Shikoku's BGM rocks. Honourable mention: #Mitsuhide -the opposite of Nobunaga, Mitsuhide kill everyone except Okuni, he finally become ruthless like Nobunaga and seeing him like that worth it :ph43r: #Nene -This one is hilarious, she lecture everyone....Hideaki fear Nene more than those gun:lol: #Oichi and Noh -It proved Oichi can be very scary when it come to who the most beautiful, and...Ranmaru. #Inahime -Defend Numata castle not as Honda Tadakatsu's daughter but as Sanada Nobuyuki's wife, the stage itself is very challenging. Worst: #Yukimura and Yoshihiro -It Sekigahara all over again, I can understand Yukimura but why Yoshihiro get Sekigahara too? :mellow: #Ieyasu -This one just doesn't make sense as Xalfrea said. #Ginchiyo -the same as Mitsunari's Edo castle and nothing new :mellow: |

Wow, always to the point aren't we LoW? :lol: Thanks Astus for changing the template. Oh yeah, I forgot my own honorable mentions: Nagamasa-Battle of Sekigahara Or as I like to call it, Family Ties goes to Sekigahara, we finally get to see a united, happy family. Toshiie-Tournament of Champions It's a pretty fun concept, Toshiie absorbing all the yellow forces, and then attacking the gigantic Edo Castle, and the Hojo's secret "portal" and Hideyoshi's gold spilling is a nice treat. Nene-Battle of Sekighara Quite possibly the most hilarious gaiden, simply for the fact that, even back then, soccer moms existed. |

I can't quite remember all of them but I'll do my best. Best Nene - Her's was just hilarous. It was great going round having to lecture everyone! WOOT Go Nene! No/Oichi - Another funny one on either side. A great chance to beat the girls who I can't stand too (i.e Ginchiyo, Okuni). So good when Ranmaru joins in the 'beauty contest' =P Kojiro - Not what I expected but awseome all the same! Just him and Musashi against the Oda. It's great! Plenty of enemies to kill as well. Nobunaga - Goodness he's a changed man in this! O_O He's the total opposite of what he was like throughout his whole story. Still good though, not wanting to kill anyone. Motochika - Great battle with a great guy. Very exciting stuff having Nobunaga invade Shikoku. I love that Shikoku battle too so I was happy to do it again. Worst Shingen/Kenshin - I don't like either of them and their dream stages being the same was just stupid and sooo boring. Yoshihiro - Arg! Having to do Sekigahara with him again!? Go away I don't think so, once was bad enough. Kotaro - Just when you think you've finished they all appear again. I wanted to end it quickly too. There's no point in beating everyone twice. Mitsunari/Ginchiyo - Ahh as much as I love Mitsunari I hate Edo and only do it when I have to. I was a little peeved that it was his dream stage. I don't like Ginchiyo anyway so it was worse for her. |

Best and worst Gaiden Stage Best: 1: Musashi Miyamoto - Its awesome because his quotes are funny and also you got to fight basically everyone except Oda army since you know Oda died 2: Oda Nobunaga - because you got to face all the war lord and the ending were there was a cutscene of him and Ieyasu was so funny 3: No/Oichi - Their gaiden was the 3rd best, No quotes are hilarious and so is Oichi 4: Hanzo - I can't remember his gaiden but all his story was really boring except the last one. Thats all I remember 5: Motochika - Since everyone says his awesome.... Worst: 1: Kenshin Uesugi - His story mode was kind a boring, it was very difficult to get his fourth weapon 2: Shingen Takenda - Similar reason as Kenshin, it was just so boring 3: Kanetsugu Noae - His story mode was even worse 4: Fuuma - He facing an whole army doesn't make sense and it was again wasn't very enjoyable to play with 5: Nagamasa - Where he suddenly becomes Oda Nobunaga army was kind of funny |

Hmph.....fine... <_< Hideyoshi:It shows how it could have been if Hideyoshi had lived a little bit longer. The stage is a bit over-used,but I liked this one most,out of all the Sekigahara-gaidens. Kotaro Fuuma::This one is more of a challenge.Especially when you're going for the 4th weapon. In most of the stages,I don't need to rush,I can simply walk,but for this one,I had to keep running.Stupid Ujimasa is the only pain in this gaiden.He always dies. Shingen Takeda:I found this one to be...fun. It was pretty hard for me in the beginning,since Shingen has IMO a bit of a crappy moveset.Though after I had leveled up Shingen a bit,and with a few more skills,the stage became easier. Mitsuhide Akechi:It shows how it could have been if Mitsuhide had won at Yamazaki.Or whatever it's called. You have to pummel alot of officers.I like to butcher officers. =D Nene:It's more of a...funny stage.But again..Sekigahara. You don't have many allies,so you can kill all officers,without one being stealed by Allies.The end cutscene was pretty funny. |

Favorites (Top 4) 1. Nene: This one of the funnest stages to play and one of the funniest. She lectures everyone and some of the quotes are hilarious. 2. Tadakatsu: It's basically the Tokugawa Shi-Tenno against everyone with Tadakatsu doing all the work. Much carnage ensues, let's leave it there. 3. Musashi: Musashi VS everyone, it's a basically one gigantic battle royale 4. Keiji: It's defend the fort but there's added pressure and plenty of KO opportunities. Lot's of fun all around. Worst 1, Ieyasu: He already UNIFIED JAPAN! Give him Osaka as a dream stage instead( and end his story at Sekigahara) 2. Yoshihiro: Wait, I'm getting a strange sense of deja vu. I already played this stage before! 3. Kanetsugu: NOOOOOO! His story was UNBEARABLE! 4. Kenshin/Shingen: Just one word here: WHY?! I'm not suffering through this. 5. Kotaro: All the allied officers are useless, oh goody. Bashing my brains out would be a more fun activity. |

Wow, nearly everyone hates Ginchiyo's stage :(((((((((((( Best~ ~Nene (Battle of Sekigahara)- funny stage and millions of ko's, nice to fight both armies ~Kenshin/Shingen (Battle of Kyushu)- obscene difficulty is fun with good characters! ~Motochika (Battle of Shikoku again)- well same stage, but harder and Motochika kicks Oda-ass (thus funner!) Worst~ ~Yoshimoto (Battle of Okehazama?)- WTH?! I'm just suprised Tadakatsu wasn't powered up too...wayy to obscene difficulty ~Katsuie (Battle of Honnoji)- Such a generic stage, too boring! Should have made a stage with Katsuie vs Azai fighting for Oichi >:( ~Gracia, Noh, Oichi (Battle of Shizugatake)- why do so many of the women have this stage? Only Gracia's was fun, but Noh and Oichi's makes more sense!! (oh and why in Oichi's version she can only fight Toshiie not Gracia? Probably in Noh's too) |

*Sigh* Best (In Order): 1. Nagamasa Azai I loved it because it was basically a "you vs. the world" scenario, and I love those battles. 2. Motochika Chosokabe Just like Nagamasa's, I love it because it's a "you vs. the world" battle. You face literally dozens of enemy officers. 3. Mitsuhide Akechi Again, it's another "you vs. the world" battle. You basically face every relevant officer at that point, it's freakin' cool. 4. Kojiro Sasaki You see the pattern? Again, it's another "you vs. the world" battle. I love it when the deck is stacked in your opponent's favor. 5. Magoichi Saika/Masamune Date Not really a "you vs. the world" battle, but I always liked Magoichi & Masamune teaming up. Honorable Mention: Nene Lol, once again, it's a "you vs. the world" battle. You face both armies and it's just awsome. Nene lecturing all of the enemy officers while they sit cross legged on the ground = priceless. Worst (In No Particular Order): 1. Shingen Takeda/Kenshin Uesugi I hated it because not only was it random for the 2 of them to be fighting the Shimazu clan, it was hard as hell. You couldn't let a single one of your officers die. I was pissed when I had to do it 2wice. 2. Ginchiyo Tachibana I hate the Edo Campaign, and I personally thought that Ginchiyo's story wrapped up nicely and didn't need this battle. 3. Yukimura Sanada His version of Sekigahara is the worst in the game. I had to play it a bunch of times because the losing requirements are ridiculous. "Main Camp Falls or Mitsunari Ishida is Defeated". Every time I played it I couldn't do both since Mitsunari leaves the main camp and you basically have to choose between saving him and saving the main camp. It's just hard as hell. |

favorites: Noh/Oichi-i love both of these ladies, however i thought it was an odd choice, as neither of them seem particularly obsessed with their looks in their tales, either in SW or SW2 and in SW1 they seemed to get along quite well. but W/E, it's hilarious and difficult, and adding Ranmaru to the mix was JUST TOO EASY and tempting for KOEI. contains my favorite line in all of SW2 and XL, Noh's "...do you want to wake up with a pet monkey with a slit throat one morning?" Yoshimoto-HARD! but fun. Yoshimoto's kills them ALL, not such a big goofy clown after all. Motochika-tactically complicated and then having to deal Mr. and Mrs. Oda at the same time is rough. Nene-as much as i dislike her, it's probably the funniest Gaiden of all, she's just an insane nagging freak, and if you were'nt trying to win, it'd be a delight to kill her, and then the weird RANDOM lesbian Okuni moment comes out of nowhere and makes you laugh out loud. Gracia-again HARD! especially Noh and Okuni, and beating up on the misogonistic Magoichi is just plain fun. Lady Noh gets some great lines in this one. "MOTHER...YOUR mother should've taught you some manners..." i'm not much of fan of the Dream stages, so pretty much the rest are my worst. they just seem like a weak attempt to recreate the beloved SW1 and XL branching story paths without all the extra work. |

FAVES Mushashi - Him versus everything. A fitting one for the lone swordsman Keiji - Brung back memories of his Kawanakajima Challenge in SW Shingen/Kenshin - Insane difficulty with a steep requirement, but who here plays these games to have it easy all the time? Noh/Oichi - The lines, simply hilarious. :lol: Till Ina shows up with that crap about her father that is. <_< Mitsuhide - Mitsuhide versus everybody! You were wrong to oppose me...darn right, all of you. LEAST FAVES Yoshihiro - Didn't we do this already?  Yukimura - Didn't we do this already...with someone else? Masamune - Hey...didn't another guy have this one too? Hideyoshi - You faked your death? What a load of crap. Oh, and, this stage looks familiar... Tadakatsu - You call this a tournament of champions!??? And this was just crappy for me since it took forever to get his weapon for me <_< Haven't played it since. |

Agreed 100% on these two. Musashi's Dream is one of my favorites. (5000+ KO count anyone? )Tadakatsu should have had a much better Dream stage. Spending 50% of the time on a horse running back and forth between garrisons is not my idea of fun <_< :lol: @ all the Sekigahara references |

Just played through Keiji Maedas dream stage again - i forgot how much fun it is. People talk of a you vs world stage but he really is alone for the best part and in total only ever gets 2 allies on field. Nice finish too with Maeda vs Honda to find out who really is the strongest in the land (save Honda doesnt have to face Hanzo, Ieyasu, Musashi, Yoshihiro, Kojiro and Masamune first :lol: ) Sorry but i cant abide Yoshimotos - its finally a chance to see a ruthless streak and some leadership from Imagawa but until i finally crack the obtaining of his 5th weapon i wont be able to properly enjoy the level for the fun in theory level that it is. |

I think I'm finally in mood to post my own list... The Best 1. Kotaro's Dream - Siege of Odawara Castle. Well, it's the only stage where this guy is loyal to the clan he serves and I liked it. The stage was big, challenging filled with missions and was based on historical battle. Overall, a perfect Dream stage for Kotaro since it revealed another side of him. 2. Kenshin/Shingen's Dream - Conquest for Kyushu Loved this stage since it was the most challenging Dream. Not only the stage itself is hard, but opponents like Mitsuhide and Ranmaru provide a challenge as well. Losing conditions are strict but once you get used to flow of the battle, it's no big deal. I also enjoyed the friendly competition between Shingen and Kenshin. 3. Motochika's Dream - Nobunaga's Invasion This battle is epic. You get to face all playable Oda officers with small army. Situation is desperate and chances to win are extremely low. In another words, a perfect battle for Motochika who always fights against the tides of history. One of my favorites "what-if" battles since Nobutada Oda would have invaded Shikoku in 1582 if Mitsuhide hadn't betrayed Nobunaga. 4. Yoshimoto's Dream - Battle of Okehazama Again, a challenging stage. Yoshimoto also has a different personality here and I think he never mentions "kemari" during the battle. He's arrogant, selfish, ignorant and definitely wants to take over the Japan. I like the conversations he has with the other characters and you get to change the battle in your favour if you succeed in all missions. This battle certainly prooves that Yoshimoto is more than just a fool. 5. Nene's Dream - Battle of Sekigahara You have to love this stage... Nene shows everyone how bossy she really can be. She spanks everone who get in her way and the dialogs are just hilarious. Hanzo and Kobayakawa take the first prize. The Worst 1. Yoshihiro's Dream - Battle of Sekigahara He does nothing during the stage. He doesn't have unique quotes, events or missions. This is Yukimura's battle, not Yoshihiro's. Great story ruined with bad Dream, unfortunetly. 2. Ginchiyo's Dream - Siege of Edo Castle This Dream doesn't make much sense. She managed to stop Yoshihiro and defeat the remaining Eastern Army generals in Yamazaki... so I don't really understand why Western Army still keeps fightning against the Eastern Army. For Mitsunari the stage is okay since he has an important role during the battle and he didn't manage to finish off the Eastern Army at Sekigahara, so he has a reason to continue the fightning unlike Ginchiyo. 3. Magoichi's Dream - Battle of Mikatagahara Almost exactly same as Masamune's last battle. Again, doesn't make much sense since Magoichi supposedly died in Yamazaki. How in the heck he made his way to Mikatagahara all of sudden? However, he has one unique line with Ieyasu, though, so that's why I'm not putting his Dream above Ginchiyo's. 4. Toshiie's Dream - Tournament of Champions Boooooring. Battle is too simple... Kill general --> move on --> kill general --> move on etc. I was hoping that you would have to invade and conquer the castle with the army you recruited. But instead you just need to defeat a few generals inside the castle to prove your might. Old and over used idea, I think. Toshiie's Dream stage should have been Invasion of Shikoku, Nobunaga or Toyotomi Army's version. 5. Tadakatsu's Dream - Tournament of Champions Tournament of Champions? More like Tournament of how-fast-can-you-ride-with-your-horse. Frustrating and annoying battle. Getting Tadakatsu's 4th weapon requires more luck than skill. Doesn't do justice for the character. |

When I play Tadakatsu, after get his 4th I always let them enter the garrison(let them enter hyper mode, you not lose immediately so why people rant about that is beyond me), now that what I call "tournament of champion" beside Nene and Kotarou are hilarious

That's true but then you fail at the requirements, though. All characters who have Tournament of Champions need to prove their might somehow. Toshiie has to recruit allies and defeat enemy officers inside the castle, Keiji has to beat Tadakatsu, Musashi's goal is to defeat all enemy officers and Tadakatsu must not allow enemy officers enter the garrisons. Personally, I think Tadakatsu's goals are the most annoying. His stage Dream should have similiar to Musashi's >_>. |
