Still face the same problem as ykean. I have also removed read only from all files/folder. I noticed that some of the LINKDATA files are in shortcut extension, could that be the cause of the issue? Appreciate your help, guys. |

Of course not. It can modify English game. Make sure that "Set Game Path" in Option menu is seted to the KOEI\WARRIORS_OROCHI\ folder. NOT KOEI\WARRIORS_OROCHI\data\ folder or KOEI\ folder. Turn off all other editors and the Game. To Puppyslayer: Shortcut extension is OK. |

OrochiEditor.ini should be created automaticly. Try to move Van's OrochiEditor to a simple path? Such as D:\OrochiEditor\. |

Its alright, I just copied OrochiEditor.ini created from earlier version and its ok now. Looks like the english version cannot search. Having fun modifying NPC general to Orochi and stuff. Is there any particular setting which makes the AI more agressive (while we wait for a more completed translation)? |

For some reason, I can't get the 3ds max script to work. It just doesn't run anything when I use run script. Using 3ds max 9. Did I just misread something? |

Have anyone noticed that non of the NPC generals ever use their C1/2/3/4 combo? I've been messing around, swapping new guys in and out of battle, and notice that only Orochi uses the advance combos. Everyone else (NPC) just mashes Square. Sometimes they randomly uses Triangle or R1 (I notice that on Yueying). I'm playing on Chaos. If anyone knows what setting allow the NPC to use advance combo, let me know. ykean:If you have tested previous version of Orochieditor, you might have a orochieditor.ini file lying around. Just copy it over and pray it works. For some unknown reason, v427 wont generate the file for me. |

Did you add the button Edit_ORCEM to your toolbar? Add the button and run the script (or it has been run at Startup). Then press that button. |

I'm not very good with 3ds max 9:( how do I add the button? Sorry 'bout this... Edit - Ahh, never mind, I got it Ok, the meshes are getting really messed up when being imported. Here is a picture of Keiji when being imported : ![]() You see under his arms? When looking, its because there is a vertex in his arm welded to a vertex in the torso. Is this a problem with the importer? It also occurs on Lubu. I haven't noticed it with any weapons however. |

Except that's what you did... Then I'm doing something wrong. I've exported a character texture from RPGViewer, edited in Photoshop and saved using the nVidia DDS plugin, but the filesize is wrong and it won't let me convert. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to export the .ORCf of the texture, change that into a .DDS, and work from there? |

Another software that can edit texture that work on Western version of Musou Orochi. In fact it's a generic Directx texture extractor so it work on many western/eastern game like Tomber Raider (which was originally coded for), Spellforce 2, Dynasty Warrior 4 Hyper and maybe all games that don't use complex 3D engine (such as Oblivion) : Texmod This software does not modifiy the game data but only add textures overlay ingame so you don't have to mess up your files, however it doesn't support command line parameter. Also it only modify textures so it's not as advanced as others chinese/jap tools that can modify the entire game content. Some pictures of modified texture ingame, hastily and crappy made please forgive me Kunoichi lol : ![]() color balance changed to a yellowish tone ![]() replaced bag texture and added a new texture over the original on the hat with 50% transparancy How tu use Texmod is quite simple (you can google for lot of tutorial), but if some need assistance I can give some guidance. Screenshot of the game with Texmod launched for texture extraction in logging mode (french version of Musou Orochi): ![]() It keep track of every texture loaded in the game ![]() You can browse textures ingame and choose what to extract |

Oh, I know it! It's very useful. And I used it before Van released his work. By the way, don't forget to backup the orginal texture, please. Anyway, I'm editing the post for weapon mod now. A friend has taught me to modify weapons yesterday.

Never mind. Stassy's method is a lot less destructive and a fair bit simpler. Great find. Sun Ce PAAAAAANCH. Shame about the transparency, though. |

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't notice this message yesterday. Nv plugin: DXT5 ARGB Interpolated Alpha 2D Texture Generate MIP maps "1" (or No MIP maps ???) Someone said that Nv plugin cannot output DDS correctly on some PC. I think Microsoft DirectX SDK is a better kit. .ORCf can not be converted to bmp. Import .ORCf and export as bmp/png/DDS is the only way now. |

Any Final Fantasy fans in the house?![]() I've made a few of these 'tribute' skins. The idea was for them to be recognizable without having to change the overall design too much. I'm not too confident with model editing, let alone want to change the model (I still want to preserve the original character designs as first costumes), so the viera ears are out of the question. I'll probably change the head guard a bit to better represent her helmet, possibly edit in her actual chest wear. Scary thing is, Ina's face actually looks a bit like Fran now... |
