When I first saw him in SW2:Empires (I played it before I knew about SW2) I thought he was the most hilarious character ever. I don't think I've laughed any harder at anyone else's jokes except Shingen's! xD And that's exactly why he's my favorite character. He cheers me up when I'm feeling down. xP Some of my other favorite male characters include: - Mitsunari Ishida - Hanzo Hattori - Hideyoshi Toyotomi - Kanetsugu Naoe - Yukimura Sanada - Magoichi Saika - Nagamasa Azai

Yukimura was pretty much my intro character to both Koei games and the Warriors 'verse as it stands. The only thing I don't care for with Yukimura is the lack of Japanese VA for SW2 and XL, as well as both Orochi games. His English VA isn't bad, just not quite hotblooded enough. Takeshi Kusao just has an awesome read for Yukimura, every time, every line. The Summer Campaign of Osaka in SW1 has some of my favorite lines of his, where the battle just keeps heading south, and then Yukimura charges with his last bunch of men to collect Ieyasu's head. I love the weapons, love the moveset, especially his C2 launcher and aircombo, and the armor is bada**. Most of the time when I have him leveled high enough, I keep him mounted on Matsukaze and just stomp everything in the neighborhood to death. Cavalrymen FTW. Honor, Courage, Commitment. Do you have what it takes to be one of the Sanada?

Back when I was just SW1, it was Mitsuhide, no question, but I've grown to love far too many of the characters too deeply to simply pick out one or two top ones. I probably play as Mitsuhide and Nagamasa the most though, followed by Date, Magoichi, and Mitsunari. Bah. I fail. Cannot choose.

Beautiful & Deadly Posts: 654 Group: Junior Moderators Member #11,618 Joined: December 6, 2007	Well, I gotta say that Mitsuhide and Ranmaru are my favorite SW guys. - Mitsuhide was the 1st character I used - mainly because he's hot, and his hair was so prettiful; and his outfit was just cool for some reason. Sad, I know, but that's life. // His moveset was awesome, and he was the only "traditional" katana user. YAY. // Then SW2 came out, and he had a better VA, IMO. // And he's generally fairly calm and collected. - Ranmaru...at first I was a girl with a really cool weapon, so that sold me. I find out "she" is a he, and I'm like "Yus! Another bishie!" // Moveset is strong, too. He has officer-busters and crowd-clearers that are satisfying to pull off. // Plus, Ranmaru has some of my favorite lines ever, like this one: "This body is a blade, and this place a burial ground. Those who wish to die, come forth!" These beautiful warriors are just amazing, in my book!

I would've said Nagamasa if you asked me this question a while ago but it has since changed. Now it would be a toss up between Shingen and Hanzo. Shingen because of his witty personality and decent moveset that I found relatively easy to control. He was great in both SW1 and 2 even though there were distinct differences (I prefer the SW1 version though, he seemed more imposing and formidable). I like juggling enemies with his C1 and sending them flying with his C3 (even though it doesn't do much damage). He needs someone else playable by his side besides Yukimura. Hanzo because he's a pure enigma in SW1. Especially with his alternate costume. His fighting style is very quick and very fluid and allows the use of rapid consecutive combos (even if one leaves him open). Coupled with his awesome VA, he is everything a ninja should be. I didn't care for him too much in SW1 because while he may have had a better overall design, he was very watered down in terms of story and personality. There was no depth. Honourable mention to Mitsuhide for being all kinds of awesome!

Motochika 'cause he uses a shamisen as a weapon, has an good moveset, & a great look. Mitsunari because he uses a fan, walks funny is sort of mysterious, is a powerful force (Sekigahara), and he has a ferret head in SW3! :3

I think he has an awesome moveset and an awesome weapon in his cannon spear. Also being the Last of the three unifiers is pretty cool too.
