As in the WO character guide thread, feel free to post a mini-FAQ on your favorite fighter. Cao Ren Original Affiliation: Wei New Affiliation: Wei Current Situation: Bumming around with Cao Pi, Zhen Ji, and Pang Tong until he joins you Unlocked By: Finish Wei Story 5. Type: Technique Weapons: Buckler blade Move List First charge attack (C1) - Stomp. Non-elemental. Second charge attack (C2) - Uppercut with the buckler blade. Non-elemental. Third charge attack (C3) - The classic Mega Buster. Cao Ren fires shockwaves out of his shield. This attack pierces through enemies and stuns. The final blast is a three-way shot that activates weapon elements. Fourth charge attack (C4) - Cao Ren threatens to hug the enemies and they all fall down. Fifth charge attack (C5) - Ground pound launcher. Sixth charge attack (C6) - Cao Ren charges with his buckler held out in front. New Moves C2-ex - Cao Ren dashes and grabs at an enemy. If he connects, he blows them away with a huge 360-degree shockwave. The initial buckler back swing, grab, and shockwave activate weapon elements. C3-ex - A six-round barrage of energy blasts - five 3-way shots plus a 5-way ender. All shots activate weapon elements. R1 counter - Cao Ren dashes forward, knocking enemies away with a wide range slash. Battle Opinion - Cao Ren is strong as a new character and pretty much broken when developed. His C3 damage was greatly improved, allowing him to rely on distance fighting once again. C3-ex obliterates most of the screen. C2-ex was also beefed up, and it even self-replenishes. With Absorb and Range, the swing immediately before the grab will soak back a boatload of musou if used within crowds. (Possibly more musou than the C2-ex consumed.) Add Conserve and the musou refill enchant, and Cao Ren can pretty much spam his -ex charges at will. Recommended Weapon Setup Bolt / Flash / Slay / Absorb / Air / Range / Agility / Might Enchantments - Musou Refill, Nanman Armor (prevents arrow flinching), Charge Bracers (prevents charge attacks from being interrupted) |

Type: Power Weapon: Great Sword Yoshitsune Minamoto Affiliation: Wu Unlocked By: Clear Wu Story 1. Type: Technique Weapon: Light Sabre Taigong Wang Affiliation: Shu Unlocked By: Clear Shu Story 1. Gracia Original Affilitiation: Mago! New Affilitiation: Shu How to unlock: Shu 5-Wuhang Mountains Type: Speed Weapon: Magic bracelets/Fists and feet Movelist: First Charges: Makes a small shockwave regenerating some musou.If continued Gracia punches forward. Second Charges: Punches an enemy in the air. If continued she sends a forward shockwave that goes a little distance. Third Charges: Punces forward. When continued, punches again. Forth Charges: Pratically the same as Third Charge. Specials: R1: Fires 3 fireballs forward. R1+ Direction: Summons three crystals to spin around her. Has a "touch her and get knocked back" effect. Crowd clearing: You shouldn't have to much of a problem clearing a crowd. Remember, Gracia is ment for Specials. Use her C1 to kill any close enemies and regain some Musou. Also, using C2 helps. Both specials are very useful. The main point is to use specials often. Officer killing: Gracia isn't the best at doing this. The best you can do is use R1 and C2. Suggested Teamates: Mago- For hi R1. It's that and his C3 that is the backbone of officer killing. Hideyoshi- His special is Gracia's pump up in some advanced ways to play. Tips: If your near a wall with an officer use R1+ direction. Push him against the wall with special still active and watch him drop like a fly. Don't use the S-string. Advanced play: Okay, the attack cancel and air dash are the key. A way to kill officers quicker is to first use R1. Before they fall down use C2. Then use C1. This is a bit hard to execute though. Another way to kill officers is to use C4, then right before you end the C4 string attack cancel then airdash and use the jump attack. This sometimes doesn't work. |

Heh, some of the classifications make no sense. Cao Ren is a power type in my eyes. Everything that has to do with him is defend defend defend. He has a shield as a weapon. He is basically a big powerhouse. Whatever though, perhaps Koei had to balance out the "classes". And you guys have done great jobs with the Guides! Very detailed and informative. I actually learned things, hehe |

Yes, I would have picked some of the characters to be different aswell. But they are pretty even in balance. Speed: 30 (+ 2 from MOZ) Power: 32 (+ 2 from MOZ) Tech: 30 Not exactly even, but Tech seems to lack a few, thus why Cao Ren is instead of Power, or Hanzo is instead of Speed(at least I think he should be) |
