For me... I check what level are my characters first before switch to the lowest one and track how many more level to catch up with the other guys. So, character level is a factor that can influence me. Most of the time, when I just feel like playing one character, I will rarely change... just to activate True Musou. |

All the time actually, the team changing is the best aspect of the Orochi series for me. With so many characters who can play in each story (or all after completion) makes replay a lot less tedius, as with leveling and 4th weapon aquisition also. |

I change characters regularly and usually for 4 or so main reasons, such as the more obvious to remove character out with low health or little/no Musou remaining. But also to swap out a character that has acquired their ability to let another officer get one as well or simply to swap a lower level character in to get the final hit on an officer and collect some cheap exp. So basically to both stay alive and train characters equally. |

Since they're a switching function then just use it always!!
If I want to level up a particular character, I switch it rarely unless that particular character needs some Musou filling I think it's called "recuperating". If not, I always switch it So they can be balanced to level up also gets life filling and Musou filling in standby
EDIT: Yeah, like Fayt said, train the characters equally I always did that So my characters are all balanced in levels
So yeah since the game can do the switching, just switch and have fun! |

I don't switch normally, unless they have no musou or next to no life. I actually kinda forget about the other two in my party XDD. Plus, I'm not much of a combo-er. |

Depends on the situation ... - When leveling characters: Always switching to keep things balanced - When acquiring abilities: Switch after each character completes the requirements - When aquiring 4th weapons: Switch for balance - When acquiring PIs: Never, unless it helps with moving around faster or recuperate lost musou/life - When doing solo runs: Duh, never - When hit by Lu Bu or Orochi on Chaos: Immediately Other than that, just when I do musou chains or any other situation where life/musou is drained. I haven't really dived into the world of tag combos, actually I've seen lots of good tag combo videos, but for some reason, I never really tried them myself
Looks like I have something else to experiment with

If I'm soloing a character, for tier purposes, I never switch. But, any other case, I switch as often as possible to find new combos. |

Hmm ... when needed, I change like when I need to get the skills and such. Or when I feel like it. I rarely change unless there is a need even though I love the switching mechanism. |

It really depends. If I'm levelling up then I usually don't switch often if ever. Sometimes I use one of my high level characters to do all the work and let a lower level one get the experience if I don't like them much. Then again if I am on hard mode at a hard stage then I switch often, out of need if anything.

As a lot of you have already said, I also think it depend of the situation in game. Usually, the cases I switch characters are : for balance their level (so hard when Mitsunari is in the team XD, he stole all the EXP) or when one is in danger or (when Kunoichi is in the team) for run (she's so fast!) or when I need some of their R1 to hit quickly enemy officers. By the way, the switch is a really cool thing in WO Gameplay ^^ Can't wait to try the Triple Musou in WO2 |

first off YES THAT WOULD BE AWESOME IF WE COULD PLAY AS BLADESTORM CHARECTER!!!! LOOK AT JOAN OF ARC.. i like that avatar. good idea. ok it depends on the situation for me. as many of you all have stated as well... broken record.... plus when i want to spread out the experiance.... hooo humm already said...... but that's my way.. also... what if warriors orochi added the european theater? they can do it you know. then we could have the mersanary, french and english charecters added for even more team building and battles. imagine zhao yun battleing in the streets of paris? |

Even if my characters are strong or weak I always switch my character. I thought of a good combo with Ranmaru, Guan yu and Sakon. well except when one character is in dnager, I keep to the HEALTHIEST. That leaves out Xu Shu  |

All the time really. Its the purpose and one of the plus points in the WO series, character switching. I suppose since any character can receive lots of damage in just a few hits, that 3 characters life bars act as if they were 1 like in the DW and SW series. But of course when you have a very high levelled character, like Mitsunari in WO you find yourself just running forward without stopping and simply pressing R1. At that point its just about not needing to use it but just have fun with the feature. |

If one or more of these conditions are met, I switch characters: 1. Main character is on extremely low health (usually takes 2-3 hits to die). 2. Buff (Attack+, Defence+, Attack Speed+, etc) is needed. 3. Main character get really boring to play with (rarely happens). 4. Obtaining the abilities (skills). <- Once all characters have the skills, this no longer exists. As you can see, I hardly switch characters, it's a fun feature to have, but it's not really my thing. With even one character maxed out (generally the one you're good with), it makes it hard to die on chaos with one bar, with two more bars in reserve, the only time death will come on chaos is when attacks are not evaded, poor knowledge of the big mobs, etc. When I do PI requirements, I just play with that character the whole time, no switching. Same goes for fourth weapon farming, I play with my best character (Zhao Yun), pure solo, great farmer, never bored to play with, well balanced... |

it really does depend on who i use if im playing for fun its whenever i want, if im getting skills i get one and then swap to get another then the third, if im getting prof then i get the charctor i need and support charctors and i swap whenever the effect runs off or i want to use musou and lastly on hard/chaos its when i get low hp or run low on musou |
