When I first saw it, it was in some game magazine I was reading. It looked amazing!I first played as Oichi, then quickly fell in love with her, and the game  haha.

Im part Japanese so at the time I was younger and only knew alittle about the Sengoku era. Now, I know alot about it!So I love this game series, one of my favorites along with DW.

Actually through Warriors Orochi on PS Store. xD

It said that it mixed Dynasty Warriors with Samurai Warriors, so i checked it out being my first ''real'' warriors game.

Didn't like it at first, but you'll eventually accept some flaws of the game and it's addicting. :OMG:

I found it in stores first, but I didn't think I'd like it and moved on. I never actually played a version of SW until shortly after I started playing DW. I like them both, but for some reason I like SW slightly better now

Hmm.. when i first heard about sw?... well actually...

I went to buy a game randomly once, when me and m8 saw Samurai Warriors 1 half price i think.. and i was already a big fan of Dynasty Warriors so i thought wow what is this :O!.. So we got and we played it, and i remember finding it all a bit strange and darkish, with nobunaga kissing noh and all '.'. But it was different and i really liked it... We first played as hanzo and we just liked how his different his moveset was and how cool the musou attack looked...

But unfortunately it didn’t hook me the first time.. and after a few days i left it alone.. but then time passed and i remember playing it again and it was like playing it for the first time for some reason, then i was hocked and throughout playing it i found magoichi and he instantly became my fav character.. passing anyone i liked on dw....

Then one day the game broke somehow when i just unlocked and played goemons first stage, and i was gutted. after some more time i then found samurai warriors 2 in the store again half price :XD ... I was instantly happy and got it, took it home and started playing and my first impression was... it says samurai warriors, but it looks like dynasty warrior :O.. then i started playing and i was like.. O_O This, Is... AWESOME!...

Then of course i played magos story and loved it to bits... and then all the rest i felt was awesome.. and so on...

Then one day i found out warriors orochi was coming out and i couldn’t wait.. i counted the days and i found out the same day it was coming out.. me and my school was going on a trip.... and we was allowed to roam about and stuff.. so i went to game with my money (it was awesome doing that xD) and i got it, and then.. right beside it was samurai warriors 2 empires, and not to mention i had enough money for both games!!!.... so when i got home i played them funnyly enough out of the 2 games, i found myself playing empires alot more as i found orochi a bit strange..

then time passed and i found samurai warrior 2 extreme legends online and i got that and loved it and then warriors orochi 2 was coming out so i got that.. and i loved that, and felt really happy that i knew about samurai warriors about a year or so prier of getting this orochi so i knew about the characters and stuff..

and then i found this site when i first heard about sw3 from a member called sjfaith.. (or something along those lines happened anyway) and i followed samurai warriors 3 and other games along the way all thx to it and sjfaith...

And that is my whole story... Lmao.. I was on a roll and couldn’t stop

Also some time in all that i got sw1xl lol

so yeh... :XD

when I heard of SW, I figured it would be as ChibiGingi quoted 'DW in Japan' :P
I remember going on the website and thought the characters were cool looking back when I didn't know who they were. It wasn't till a couple of years later when I finally got the game and really enjoyed it!

Whe I first heard of Samurai Warriors i was disappointed. I wanted another Dynasty Warriors game, which was kinda childish. But I anyways gave it a shot and it was worth it. Now I even think, that it's better than DW ;)

When I first heard about Sw was when i was playing dw4e and saw the game trailers in the ''options'' menu.
I was like wow! this looks interesting.. But I never bought and played it until Wo , pretty sad huh.

I bought Sw2 a year ago I think, it was fun but it begun to get boring.
I play Dynasty Warriors for about 6 years now?
And Sw a year.

don't get me wrong I like Sw but I rather play Dw.
its because my experience.

I tought it was a fight style game. That you can select a character and fight against others... I usually lose interest by these kind of games, but when i see the game i felt in love ^^

I first heard about it on a preview for it on one of the DW movie gallaries. I wasn't all that interested at first. But then I played the Orochi games... I am now addicted the SW3 for the Wii! :XD

wow...I haven't posted here yet?? O.O

anyways...When I first saw SW sitting on the bottom shelf at the rental store, I thought it looked interesting because 1. It was from Koei, who I knew for Mystic Heroes and 2. it had "Samurai" in it...and the box art was kinda cool.

I rented it expecting it to be similar to Mystic Heroes, it was sort of similar, typical Koei beat-'em-up, but I was kind of thrown off by how much larger scale it was than that game. I discovered that Mystic Heroes is practically like "training wheels" for the "warriors" series. I actually didn't get into it at first when I rented it because the higher difficulty, faster pace, and crazy multitasking in the battles kept me from getting the hang of it and I lost interest.
I returned the game without playing even one more time, and I didn't get back into it until I got internet access and was able to look up a guide for it, once I got it all figured out, I bought it and tried again, and was very glad I did! XD

I heard about it because of Warriors Orochi which I heard of because Musashi Miyamoto was a playable character. :p I'm just a big nerd like that.

Though, when I actually started looking into SW, all I really knew was that it was similar to DW and that was all the proof I needed that I'd like it.

I saw copies of SW2 in my local game shop one day - I'd never heard of the series or any other Warriors one, and wasn't even very familiar with Koei before then. I just looked at the box and thought it could be interesting since it was about Japan, and that it could be fun for me and my sister to play because it had co-op multiplayer in it. I figured it would be 'worth trying' so I bought it... and I had no idea what an understatement that would turn out to be. xDD

Well, I first saw it back in 2006, when I moved in with my then-fiance. He was playing it on his PSP, and it looked pretty interesting. Just out of curiosity, I played it one day while he was at work and ended up liking it. Then I kinda half-forced my sister to play it, and she ended up liking it as well. :ph43r:

Needless to say, Matt ended up selling that game. But we've bought more in their place. I don't play that much anymore, to be quite honest.

When it first came out I had actually thought nothing of it but that it looked complicated to play. After playing Dynasty Warriors and going on Forums though, I heard more about Samurai Warriors and hearing about the characters. I was interested because its seemed like it was the equivalent of Dynasty Warriors. I thought the game would be complicated to play but instead it was just very fun and I am glad I got to play it. I really was interested in Okuni and Kunoichi when hearing about them and if I had known there was just like Dynasty Warriors but set in Japan, I would have gotten it much much sooner. @_@

I first saw Samurai Warriors 1 at my friends house. I told my friend "Hey, is this like Dynasty Warriors but with Samurai?"
He says "Yup, same makers" So we ended up playing it. I forgot who my first character was, either Noh or Kunoichi.

I remember, one time I was watching Nintendo Channel with my brother during E3 2011 I think and we saw the glory of SW. Originally I though of it closer to something like Mortal Kombat, but once I saw the actual gameplay I was hooked for sure. Me and my brother loved seeing the first trailer, but eventually forgot about it due to the other games around at the time. Skip forward a year or so to me getting it on release day because I remembered it, and let the good times roll. The trailer looked as good as ever, and all I could think of is "the guy with the huge hat must be powerful", and I tried him out first and I must say, Kanetsugu's Moveset is one that I enjoy to see since it sends guys all over the map.

My brother was less enthusiastic, mostly because he is not a gamer nor does he have time due to his hobbies. When he did get to play, he finally came around and really enjoyed it until he found the repetitiveness of the game. After that he basically just liked watching me fight, but he occasionally gets back up and says we should do some Murasame Castle, since that mode never repeats itself. I still play SW3 from time to time, and I sometimes switch back to SWE2, a game I got after SW3 in the past year or so; SW will always have a special place in both my heart and my game library.
