Posts: 2,243 Group: Members Member #1,706 Joined: April 26, 2006	I dislike how tekkousen is "official mascot" He's just arguing for the sake of arguing, like a certain someone recently canned who shall remain nameless. You guys srsly need a better mascot, as he doesn't represent KW very well. Even Jsun would be a superior mascot. .... ANYWAYS. To be serious for a second. I dislike the double standard this forum has when it comes to downloads. You discourage people from talking about I do believe it was roms (or something burning a PS2 game or something similar) in a topic or deux, and in the rules it too states "Discussion on how to obtain or access any illegal activities such as pirating video games, movies, software etc is not allowed. ". Yet you have over 20 game OSTs in your soundtrack section! It seems hypcritcal to have so many bootleg OSTs and then Chin (or whoever) turns around and says its A-O-K to pirate music, in my eyes.

I guess no one took a good look at the rules or bothered to read them. (Streaming links to movies have been allowed since early last year) http://z13.invisionfree.com/koeiwarriors/i...?showtopic=4346 Music piracy cannot be stopped I'm afraid. We have special permission to have those OSTs. Plus if the OST is ripped from the game then there is really nothing a company can do about it unless they go out of their way to sue the pants off of a 14 year old. People are less lenient when it comes to Movie piracy, Game piracy, and Software piracy as these things tend to cost much more. You can post places to download the stuff, but you cannot post a topic for the links to download. (No Direct Downloads) There aren't any rules against sending links through PMs by the way. So if someone were to ask me how to get Photoshop I would give them a link to a site to download it. If we post it in public then its how we get the bad attention, but it's really up to Chin on the matter. Like before I wanted to do a Members only section that had special things like the software, movies, and games. It's just not a good thing to have.

Jsun We have special permission to have those OSTs. KOEI's OST sales will continue to diminish with this cannibalism effect if they really do support this. Jsun Plus if the OST is ripped from the game then there is really nothing a company can do about it unless they go out of their way to sue the pants off of a 14 year old. Most of the OSTs at KW aren't ripped.

I did not thoroughly explain this because it would just go off-topic even more. So when someone copies a CD onto their hard drive that is considered ripping. The only way it is not stealing is if you purchase the tracks or CD yourself. Sharing music is basically stealing unless you get permission to do it. The only distinction between the OSTs is that some are ripped from CDs and some are ripped from the actual games. Now lets get back to the subject. You guys can discuss this issue in the KW Forum Discussion thread if you like. Thanks

If you have complaints about your warns then take it to pm's, I mean most of Tesouken post was clearly directed at Fayt so why didn't he take it to pm's, its like he wanted everyone to know why he got warnings :lol: :lol: and etc..... That was just an example.... :rolleyes: Thats what I hate.... Why don't you remove those warning and give people pm warnings and if they get to much and then ban them. I mean I never got pm warning or anything like you are doing something wrong or you are breaking the rules some people might not know they are breaking the rules and they get warned.....which I think is unfair <_<

It is easier for the members and saves the mods precious time.

Jsun I did not thoroughly explain this because it would just go off-topic even more. So when someone copies a CD onto their hard drive that is considered ripping. I was under the impression that 'ripping' means to steal/record audio files from a game (usually done if the game has no OST). For example: some of the XL tracks. As for the official OST 'ripping', I thought it was just called "copying". Jsun The only distinction between the OSTs is that some are ripped from CDs and some are ripped from the actual games. And I assumed KOEI would be smarter than that to allow this site to host OSTs but there's nothing they can do when people take them straight from the games. Posts: 2,724 Group: Members Member #9,336 Joined: August 23, 2007 Gender Male	I dont like thwe fact that the other skins arent as good as the flash one, we have got some great GFXers to make all the skins look awesome, the one that IMO is the best non flash is bladestorm because it fits, but there are some which have good banners and not good skins like gundpom non kw flash, but SW and DW are definately the worst out of the bunch.
