I assume you're talking about XI here. Personally, I think Yongan is the best place to start. It's easily defendable and has talent close by for you to recruit into your force. |

ROH = Rise of Heroes I presume? I'd suggest never take Luo Yang. Although there's plenty of officers there initially, but its highly prone to Cao Cao's attacks. If you are to start with a few men's force, I'd suggest Yong An, yes. And the City below Yong An is empty IIRC, its Shang Yong? |

No matter what the scenario, Xin Ye is always the best for the taking in my opinion. It is just in the center of the maps, as usual, Liu Biao and the like are not much of a fight, if you know how to play that is. If you're just starting out, try aiming for the lands mostly solitude/far off from others. Build up an army, be ready for anything, and most important, be sure to have made sure you have taken at least ten or more officers with you, so dealing with things won't be a problem if revolving around your character. |
