I rarely use them, but in a few scenarios; knocking unit off mount, firing at archers when bored or when they are becoming an annoying nuisance. In the older games it was a good tactic to deal with Lu Bu this way. |

DW4 - Occasionally at the beginning of a duel, I like to start off with an arrow. DW5 - Never/don't remember. Others - Huang Zhong/Xiahou Yuan/Ina all require arrow attacks, if that counts, then I use their charges all the time. Arrows (with R1) in DW series have weak damage and by the time you have a chance to aim properly, you get hit by enemies. |

Oh yes, the arrow glitch in DW4's duel. xD Its best not to talk about the arrow playable characters though since its basically unavoidable. |

I use arrows a lot, I was so bored whilst playing DW3XL, I did an entire level in first person view, thankfully I had very good mountain Quiver and Huang's bow. |

In Dynasty Warriors 3 I found myself using them quite a lot. Bow towers and enemies on higher ground was rather common in DW3, and the bow was really the only way to repel them. Come Dynasty Warriors 5 though the bow became utterly useless, and I'm not surprised it has since been removed in many of the newer titles. The extra special/R1 style moves are a far better replacement then a bow you couldn't do much with. You can't use a bow on a horse, you can't move with a bow either, it's just so inflexible and really a waste of time. ![]() For the sake of the poll I'll vote rarely, as I did use the bow in DW3. |

yeah, i used to onl;y use them very rarely, since you cant really move around with them, theyre just good for standing back and very slowly taking away your enemies health, but with the archers, you pretty much have to, cause you cant get them any other way

I use them anytime I can. Any game. Usually use arrows when enemies try and escape, I always whip the bow and shoot, just for fun most of the time. I never miss! I also liked using arrows for versus or in duels, thats always good as well. Although I was rather bummed out to see that there was none in Dw6..ahh well.. |

You can move whist using a bow, just hold down L1 and then you can move as you would normally...apart from the speed, but it is still handy to use when firing at Lu Bu and running away at the same time. |

Rarely, but in DW3, my brother killed Lu Bu just by shooting him with the bow and arrow from a distance. It was EPIC! Then in DW4, we used the bows during 2p Duel Mode just to get a closer look at the character models. xD And yeah, in all the games there's the occasional use to shoot the elephant mounts and what not. |

I hate archers but I love to use arrows. Its just cheese since I can stun them or knock them off their horse or elephant. I'm sadistic that way. >=D I luurve watching them being knocked off their high horse. Then again its only in DW5 and bladestorm. Especially the one hit KO mini game where I killed the generals with my arrows. Its so satisfying! |

Ditto. Besides using them for fun, I find them helpful when I need to knock down enemies from elephants and sometimes horses (it's useful to knock them down from a distance) and in case steal their mount XD. |

I actually used them some a bit in DW3-5, almost never in SW1 though. C4 to knock someone away, then shoot them when they come running back. I'd still say I used this tactic rarely though. |

I never used them in SW1 since I got SW2 first and was so used to not using them anyway. I do use them quite a bit in DW5. In DW5XL at Mt Qi I spam them once I find a good hiding place, I get found out other wise. Other times I use them to hit enemies from a distance, usually when very weak and when I don't want to risk losing. But thats it really since I don't have DW3 or 4. |

I hate the archers but I enjoy using the arrows myself when I need to especially in DW4 and 5 when you come face to face with the officers on the elephants. I usually have a hard time knocking the officers off myself so I use the arrows which seem to work better. I have a tendency to forget them nowadays when I play my older games because majority of the newer games don't have them anymore so I end up not using them. |

I rarely use them. I only use them to kill archers inside the towers when I'm too lazy to knock the tower over. And even then I don't do it that often. But as for Huang Zhong/Xiahou Yuan/Ina's moves, I use them so much that you could consider it spamming. In DW5 there has been times that I've used nothing but Huang Zhong's arrow attacks. I just love their arrow attacks. |

Hmm, they havent been used for a couple of games now. I think they might have gotten rid of the feature indefinitely. I remember using it back on DW2, but I never really did in like DW5 and stuff. Never found much use for them. I rarely did when maybe it was a nanman stage with elephants and that was the easiest way to knock them off. And its not much use for guys in towers anymore, since you can knock the tower down. I hate bowmen, so that might be another reason I dont use it much, out of hate toward them ![]() And of cource I use it as far as people that have them in their movesets, but that doesnt count. |

After Dw3, I forgot they even existed. Was happy when they removed it in 6. Seriously the only reason I even bothered using arrows back in 3 was with Fire Arrows to weaken any unusually strong officers like Lu Bu. That was it. |

In DW4, I use arrowas to knock down the enemy from an elephant (rarely from a horse). In DW5 it's the same and also.. When a sub-officer ran away from the battlefield to the place where soldiers appears, i always tried to kill them in there (when they for some reason didn't disappear). In DW5XL (or Special) arrows sometimes were the part of my tactics in Xtreme Mode And really, i don't miss arrows in DW6, they're pretty useless, so it's good, that they were removed from the gameplay. |

Arrows were most useful in DW2 and DW3. They were fast, reloading times were short, doing combo on enemies was possible but most importantly, they were deadly (in DW2, you could OHKO enemy officers on Easy if your attack power was high enough). DW4 and SW1 changed things by making arrows much slower and less deadly. That's when I stopped using them and haven't missed them since. |

I used to fire arrows when I first got into the DW games a lot more than I use them now. It was a good tactic to deal with Lu Bu and with retreating enemies. SW1 I used to use them alot when playing with Geomon (Canon FTW)
