I've got a few, but here are a few that stand out to me; DW3 Chi Bi - One of the better versions. Larger, and the flames are more intense. You can almost feel the flames sapping the Wei army's strength. Fan Castle - Great with Guan Yu's forces. He Fei - Good stage in all the games, but this one started it all, and has some generic, but good scenes. DW4 Return of the Yellow Turbans - Interesting battle. Confusing with the multiple Zhang Lu's the first time you play it. Guan Yu's Escape - A bit more challenging with Wei, but Xiahou Dun brings it at the end of Shu's version. Yi Ling - This is great on either side. I have a soft spot for this stage as its the main stage I got most of my Level 4 orbs, and Level 20 items on. The Nanman Campaign - I actually hate this stage, but I love to hate it since I'm always up for a challenge. It can go really well, or really bad on certain days. Its the only stage in the games that has that distinction DW5 He Fei Castle - Who doesnt like that music, or this stage? Either side will do. Whu Zhang Plains - Another great final battle to play. It can be over really quick if you take the easy way out and just rush Zhuge Liang or Sima Yi, but if you really dig in and play it the correct way, you get a good amount of enjoyment out of it. Chang Ban - Shu - There's something I just like about this stage even though its not that highly rated. DW6 Hu Lao Gate - Lu Bu - That final officer pileup separates the men from the boys on Master or Chaos. Survive that and you deserve the land. Chi Bi - Lu Bu - Another great stage with officer pileups. And its the only time you can actually not fight in the fire by killing Huang Gai. Shi Ting - Makes its triumphant return after being taken out on DW5. Great stage with several named officers who are very tough. (save Xiao Qiao) Plenty of cliffs to ambush from as well. |

^ Chi Bi: This victory shall belong to Wuuuuuu!! His quotes are great in this stage. I didn't personally like Fan Castle in DW3, its just too small. DW4's was challenging, and bigger, 5's was huge and 6's was smaller than 5's but bigger than 4's. My favorite version due to the size would have to be 6's. You never liked Yi Ling in DW3? I'm guessing your not really fond of Sun Quan's bodyguards. He Fei Castle is brilliant fun in DW3. And you're right, 5's music is just in a league of its own, IMO, especially since I wasn't too fond of 5's music overall. I've not been too happy with DW's music since 4. I've always detested the Nanman stages probably due to how extreme it was in DW3 that its forever given me nightmares... My favorite in DW6 is He Fei Castle, partially due to it being one of the most challenging (the most being Lu Bu's Hu Lao in my opinion) and because I like the music. |

DW3: - Chi Bi (Wei/Shu/Wu): well to be honest, I didn't like any of the later Chi Bi stages all that much compared to this one. I always compare them to this one. - He Fei Castle (Wei): best stage in the game, best music track in the game, and a huge, huge crapload of Wu soldiers in the castle courtyard DW4: - Battle of Cheng Du (Wei): best version of the stage, good music, even has the crazy Deng Ai shortcut in the mountain to boot DW5: - Fan Castle (Wei/Shu): best version of the stage, the Guan Yu events were pretty good (the last stand on Wei side, the Wu ambush when playing on the Shu side that turned Zhang Fei into the commander). - Bai Di Castle (Shu): sure, all the Shu guys in this battle aren't supposed to be alive, and the battle never happened in history, but it's also the one stage in the game where Jiang Wei DIDN'T have Zhuge Liang looking over his shoulder. In that regard it should've been Jiang Wei's last stage (much like how it is Pang Tong's in his story mode). I often felt that Jiang Wei got the short end of the stick in these games, and this was like the one battle in the game where he was holding his own. And I'm not even a fan of Jiang Wei. |

Have yet to play DW6 But DW3: Batle of Wu Zhang Plains, do I really need an explanation for that? DW4: Battle of He Fei, yeah I know sun jian was dead like 20 years before that battle but, the music is great and I like sun jan better then quan. (Mr.Blum did the best voice for him in my opinion) DW5: Battle of Hu Lao Gate, who doesn't like defeating Lu Bu? Battle of Fan Castle: Any of the three sides are good, too bad I failed to get Lu Meng's weapon (I got killed in 4 hits from Guan Yu when he was in rage mode, lol) Battle of Chi Bi:I mostly play as wu/shu since I like seeing wei being humiliated. |

Wu Zhang Plains, especially on Dynasty Warriors 3 and 6. Probably because of the music, lol. Only time it wasn't my favorite was on Dynasty Warriors 4, which was the Battle of Chang Ban, once again for the music. |

DW5- Yi Ling- cuz of the fire attack and killing Liu Bei Xia Kou- i dont why... He Fei- i lime the bridge idea and it makes it slightly harder to get to Sun Quan when he's in trouble DW5:XL- i forget what its called but its the one where you have to fight Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao with Sun Ce and Zhou Yu-i like setting off the tigers and watching them kill Zhou Yu most DW2, DW3, and DW4 battles |

It's just called 'The Two Qiaos'. My favourite stages include; - DW4 Xu Chang (Shu side). It was difficult, it was lengthy, and most of all it kept you on your toes. Even when it seemed like you had the battle in the palm of your hand; something would happen and you had to act accordingly or suffer a major, major downfall. - DW4 Yi Ling (Both sides). Especially if you don't rush and kill Lu Meng, but actually let the fire attack succeed (or conversely, get the fire attack to succeed). The lack of music in the Stone Sentinal Maze gave the entire stage this almost frightening feel at that time; really increasing the tension. - DW4 Mt. Ding Jun (Either side). WOW. This one is really, really up there in terms of tension - especially if you go and chase after the just released hostage and get stuck in the enemy camp. Surrounded by tons and tons of archers. Just.... wow. - DW4 Wu Zhang Plains (Either side); because there's a ton of length on the map and because it's that much more difficult to actually run up right off the bat and kill the commander. Even on easy this is very, very difficult. Points for interchangable character event of tauning Sima Yi! 'Coward! You have lost this battle already!' - DW5 Chang Ban; Shu side. Simply because of almost any stage, this is the stage where the game actively convinces you 'You're running, but you know what? You'll win. There's no question about that.' Being around characters who actively motivate each other to succeed... it's an excellent showcase of Shu itself - working together to save each other. |

Wu Zhang plains has always been an epic level and always one of the best but aside from that I really like He Fei (not castle) and Jie Ting, again they're levels that have been great consistently and always look forward to playing. Mt. Ding Jun deserves an honourable mention as it was great excpet for in DW3, where the sheer amount of archers in the level made it ridiculously annoying instead. |

Here are my favorite stages: Wu Zhang plains - Lots of cutscenes on either Wei or Shu side and many interesting quotes of Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang Chang Ban - I like playing on Wei side. Don't let Liu Bei escape! This stage makes you feel in a rush. Battle of He Fei in DW5 - Love Zhang Liao's and Gan Ning's bravery. This stage is where you have to beat either of them. Battle at Xia Pi - I like Xiahou Dun's cutscene the most and also Lu Bu. Battle at Guan Du - funny cutscenes of the arrogant Yuan Shao. At this stage is where you can beat quite a lot of enemies! Guan Yu's escape - Love playing as Xiahou Dun. Beat Guan Yu before he reaches at Yellow River. I like the cutscene of Guan Yu talks with Xiahou Dun Escape from Chi Bi - Assist Cao Cao to the escape point. Don't let the scums from Shu and Wu touch Cao Cao!
