Spoiler: click to toggle

So your saying the island is stuck in the past (ignoring the flashes), at least 3 years behind the Oceanic 6. (which is when the Oceanic 6 plus Desmond were on teh boat)
We put some things in spoiler tags, because I believe that the show is not fully released everywhere in the world. Im not for certain, but some shows release later in some countries then their original air.

Im not saying that they are stuck in the past, im just saying that the show itself isnt showing what is happening on the Island while the Oceanic 6 are three years later. But I could be wrong. Or maybe time passes slower on the Island, so when the 6 return, then it will return to almost three years ago when they left, no i guess that wouldnt make sence either.

I had this thought maybe when the island was moved it probably wasn't physically moved, but more in terms of a time skip type thing...expelling Ben off the island and island John being in teh time skip with the island... =/

eh...all I know is this show is one of the best headaches i've ever had. =]

Season 5 is pretty damn good so far. Although when I am not watching the show the whole time shifting stuff gets a little on my nerves, when I'm watching the show I really don't care as it's answering questions, along with adding some more :XD .

Amazing show though, can make almost anything seem 'believable' in its own little lost way ;) :/ .

The next episode will definitely tie some things together, its the episode where we know what happened to John during all this time. How hes like turning that wheel and suddenly dead in the time of the Oceanic 6.

LOST is my favorite TV show! I haven't missed many episodes recently, although I missed most of the Ana Lucia days (I only saw the one where she gets killed). I love the complex flashbacks, flashforwards, and half-telling of the stories in the show.

Although I think that it's weird that Sawyer went from this:
:realangry:
to this:
:D

His transition into Mr. Happypants is just weird!

I think that Sawyer's transition to Mr.Happypants is over now that Kate's back on the Island(SLIGHT spoilers for Lafleur). Locke is like LOST's answer to Jesus, he's going to save everyone on the island!

well, his happypants transition is weird, but it makes sense. With accepting Kate isn't coming back, he no longer as to struggle to live, he is now with Juliet....he's at peace.

That said, with everyone returning to island, including Kate, and the whole thing with Sayid, there are obvious conflicts boiling, so his happypants days may be over. (it was mostly an act though, I believe) Plus he obviously has some resentment towards Jack

Ya, and while Sawyer is definitely surprised, there is no doubt that he is bit happy about the situation. Before Jack was always the boss and Sawyer was always kind of looked down upon for his ideas. Now he is the boss sort to speak, so the boots have kind of switched around and he is a bit proud of that.

Right now, I would say that those who have returned are definitely second guessing their choice to return. They feel out of place, and not to mention being back in time.

well it seems of the 8 returning, it looks like 4 of them are in the present and the other 4 are in the past.

With Sun, Ben, Frank, and John seem to be in the present, 2007, time. While Sayid, Hurley, Jack, and Kate were ejected into the past, 1977. Which explains how they were "ejected" from the plane, without actually being ejected...which is weird.

I wonder if this is the set up to place them all back in the present time, and then they become "The Others" and the new survivors become the "Survivors" xD

Well, I don't think so, Locke will probably have to find a way to get everybody in the past into/back to the present, and I don't think that they'll become the "new Others", because Ben's still around and will probably rally the surviving Others against Locke and co.

well at first I saw it going to a sort of "revamp" with the others still around, and a new set of plane crash survivors, and Sawyer and the others now with DHARMA, it all just starts over. But who knows.

We'll find out when it ends next year, which I never thought I'd ever hope for. The end of one of my favorite shows.

Well, I think that there are probably two separate timelines and the present is the future in the past timeline. Maybe the past will be changed in some way, who knows?

I really don't think the past is going to change. I can see Daniel trying his best to prevent Charlotte ( ) going back but I don't think it is going to work. Same with Sayid shooting Ben, the kid won't die even though Sayid would hope he's killed him.

Well, Sayid had basically told all the Dharma people about "The Purge", so I don't know. Daniel will PROBABLY find a way to save Charlotte without convincing her to not come back. The preview for the next episode is interesting. I wonder who the guy lying facedown in the hoody is.....

Well, there's going to be another episode this week(Some Like it Hoth) and a recap the following week. Season 5 is answering questions but adding new questions to be answered.

There's 4-5 episodes of Season 5 left and Season 6 to go.

LOL :hehe: isnt that how basically every season and episode goes for that matter.

But the whole thing with Charles and Ben is starting to make more sence. And I think Sun, Ben and Locke will end up back in the past like the others, instead of vice versa.

Well, would Sun, Ben and Locke end up in the past in order to bring the "survivors" back to the present? Do you think that Ben was true to his word when he said that he'd help Locke?

Ben is loyal to the island, so if the island dictates he should help Locke, I'm sure he will. But it isn't beyond him to find a "loop hole" so we'll see.

Well, Ben's a pathological liar, so he probably won't, which means that he's going to turn on Locke at some stage.

Well, it wouldnt surprise me, especially with another season to go. This show goes through so many loops and such just for simple things to happen. And the ones stuck in the past right now dont seem to be trying very hard to get themselves out of the situation, while on the other hand Sun wants to get to Jin, so it seems more likely that they will end up in the 70s instead of the other way around.

Probably not, Ben isnt really the keep his word type of guy. But since the thing with his daughter happened, which I think left him pretty scared, so he needs to do whatever to help him, and if he doesnt then Im guessing the Island wont be too happy with him.

Ben looked kinda convincing when his daughter threatened him not to kill Locke. But knowing Ben I think he'l try to kill Locke again, I don't think he'l be able to contain himself. Then Monster will come and eat him  . Nah, seriously though, can you really see Ben survivng to the very end of the show, being next years Season 6, I don't think so  .

Well, it wasn't Alex threatening Ben, it was the Smoke Monster threatening Ben. It's obvious that Ben will either try to kill Locke or failing that, he'll try turning people against Locke(particularly Jack)
