Cavalry at Dawn Posts: 388 Group: Members Member #4,439 Joined: December 6, 2006	I made a few created characters in Nobunaga's Ambition and put charge 3 on all of them, i wanted to make the ultimate cavalry officers, but they never were able to use it! it seems harder to get working then when i used a guy with charge 1. does this mean that a guy with charge 1 would be able to use his skill more often than a guy with charge 2 or 3 because it's not as powerful? do you need more morale to use charge 3? does it take less morale to use charge 1? if so, does that concept apply for volley and counter? oh, and can you possibly use the rally skill on yourself to get enough morale to use a skill?

The only reason you wouldn't be able to use them is because your don't have enough morale yet(remember, your morale limit only goes higher after taking a tower/fortress) or if they get Countered(I believe this to be the case, either Counter will cancel out Charge or deal severe damage to Charging cavalry/horses, I don't remember specifically.) Rally is more important for regaining morale after it's dropping in the middle of a fight, or for boosting your morale up right after taking a tower/fortress for your guys that aren't nearby(as morale will automatically go up for guys near friendly towers/fortresses/camps/castles.)

Posts: 3,815 Group: Moderators Member #1,112 Joined: March 16, 2006 Gender Male	One thing to keep in mind, is if your unit is being attacked by an enemy, attacking them back will slow morale loss. If your unit keeps attacking something like a tower instead, it seems to lose morale faster since they're getting attacked from behind/their flank.

Officer Posts: 95 Group: Members Member #9,492 Joined: September 3, 2007 Gender Male	Get people to encourage them. It doubles their morale growth. (click on the troop -> third one down or something. In green.) Alternatively research appropiate skills to half morale loss for specific troop-types. It should be the first one in the research tree for each type.

In this one there's no skill research like in 12, and officers need the Rally skill to increase ally morale.
