Yoshitsune and Kiyomori. I'm a big fan of the Heian period, especially of the warrior Yoshitsune. Though I wish Koei added a bit more to the game from that era, like Benkei, Yoritomo, Tomoe and Shizuka. Even I hear that Yoshitsune and Kiyomori's rival isn't much, but it's good to see them in the same game. |

Yeah, but this is a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors crossover, so the main cast should be from the 3 kingdoms era or the Warring states period. It's ok to add a few chars from different eras, as long as they don't become the main focus of the game. I voted for Lu Bu/Tadakatsu. It's really awesome to see the 2 greatest warriors from the 2 eras fight against each other in front of some creepy snake dude with a big scythe. I wished this would continue in WO2, but it seems that Tadakatsu has been replaced with Yoshitsune. Man, Koei really should make Tadakatsu a more prominent charater in their franchises. Like remixing his theme as they did with Lu Bu's in WO. |

The main cast is composed of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. 79 characters all together excluding Warriors Orochi exclusives. If they add more to the main cast, they'll add them in their own respective games, not in Warriors Orochi. If any new characters are added to Warriors Orochi, the characters likely to be added will be from myth or completely different time periods and not from the time periods of Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors To add to that, the Warriors Orochi characters are part of the main focus of the game. Orochi especially, since both games focus on how his enemies confront and eliminate him. Even the game is named after Orochi :lol: . |

I chose Lu Bu and Tadakatsu reason being; - The first group, I do not know who they were. O_O Cough. - I'd still feel Cao Cao cannot be compared to Nobunaga. Just an impression I guess. - Shingen and Kenshin? Well Shingen is smart and Kenshin, IDK but I thought God of War is something like Guan Yu? O_O - Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi. Well Sima Yi is getting better in the later stage of the 3k I think? Hideyoshi and Sun Wukong? Cough but Sun Wukong, isn't he a deity? - Zhen Ji and Noh. Hard fight but, Lu Bu and Tadakatsu is more appropriate in this to me, I guess. |

Some of the rivalries in the game are based on their historical counterparts, like Lu Bu and Tadakatsu for being the strongest warriors of their eras. And then their are rivalries made up by Koei because of they way they depicted those chars in terms of personality (Yuan Shao and Yoshimoto), looks (Zhang He, Kojiro) and weapon (Zuo Ci, Kanetsugu). |

I'd say by going down the list that the only ones in contention are: (as some are more of an alliance than that of a real rivalry or a rivalry turned alliance) ~Lu Bu and Tadakatsu ~ Minamoto Yoshitsune and Taira Kiyomori I can't really decide between these two, but it'll probably have to go with the first as it's kinda like DW vs SW. |

Tadakatsu and Zhang Fei. What can I say, they match each other well, their guardians, sentinals in different battles, I find this a more suitable match than Lu Bu and Tadakatsu, I think Lu Bu should be paired with Keiji.  Then it would be Zhao Yun and Yukimura, they match each other very well, both brave and leading characters. |

Nah, i think it's more like Lu Bu vs Tadakatsu and Keiji vs Gan Ning Keiji and Gan Ning were both wild men who both wandered the land until they found someone to serve (Uesugi and the Wu army) Also, they're both similar in the way they fight. They were both masters in cavalry and they both loved to raid the enemy, breaking their formation |

When it comes to WO, rivalries are pretty hard to put on. Some inter-time rivalries are apparent and appear at one point or another (Lu Bu-Tadakatsu, Cao Cao-Nobunaga), others are something we call camaraderies (Zhao Yun-Yukimura, SSX-Ina, Cao Pi-Mitsunari, Ma Chao-Nagamasa-Kanetsugu), and then there are those that may or may not count as rivalries just because they have similar personalities and characteristics (Hanzo-Wei Yan/Zhou Tai, Zhen Ji-No, Diao Chan-Okuni, Meng Huo-Goemon, Zhuge Liang/Sima Yi-Shingen, Zhang Fei-Tadakatsu). The major problem in pinpointing WO rivalries is the fact that the pre-existing DW & SW rivalries are still there (Guan Yu-Xiahou Dun/Zhang Liao/Xu Huang/Lu Meng, Shingen/Kenshin, Ma Chao/Cao Cao/Pang De, Zhuge Liang/Sima Yi/Zhoy Yu/Lu Xun, Musashi/Kojiro), and there are some instances in the WO canon where those rivalries are still apparent (Ex, WO1-Shu Gaiden 8). So for now I won't cast my vote for any of those listed. |

Put it simply, this is a crossover game built on rivalries ... not just existing rivalries in their respective worlds/time periods. The list of rivalries should include many more, if not all, characters since that was one of the motivating factors to create this game. "Let's see what happens when the greatest <warrior/strategist/leader/etc> from Ancient China meets the greatest <warrior/strategist/leader/etc> from Feudal Japan" With 79 characters in WO and 92 characters in WO2, this best rivalry discussion could go on endlessly with the sheer number of rivalry possibilities that exist. The choices in the poll barely scratch the surface

Lu Bu and Tadakatsu Honda would make the best rivalry, as they are the best warriors from Dynasty and Samurai warriors. I don't think Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi are rivalries anymore well not in warriors orochi, as in this game they work together. |

I'd say Yoshitsune Minamoto and Kiyomori Taira rivalry because its looks like it might be an interesting battle. A battle between Good Vs Evil type thing, Good human guy facing (Yoshitsune) facing against a Demon person (Kiyomori). |

Well, for the rivals, haven't a particular preference, it's just, I think Yoshitsune VS Kiyomori, Zhuge Liang VS Sima Yi, Shingen VS Kenshin, and Musashi VS Kojiro are maybe the rivals in the first meaning of "rivals" in one sort, others rivals group are only rivals in another sort. |
