There weapons at the time werent as developed, and Tadakatsu Honda was known to have never been scathed or wounded in battle and he also never lost a duel same as Musashi

What can I say, they match each other well, their guardians, sentinals in different battles, I find this a more suitable match than Lu Bu and Tadakatsu, I think Lu Bu should be paired with Keiji. I agree whole-heartedly with Zhang Fei and Honda Tadakatsu. I believe there was even an old nickname given to Tadakatsu that literally labels him as "Zhang Fei of Japan". Both hit hard and are loyal retainers to their masters, not to mention both have daughters. On that note, I think Inahime and Xing Cai would follow up as another good "rivalry" of sorts. Wei Yan and Hanzo should probably get a mention as well.

I don't know how anyone could even say such a thing unless they were unaware of history, both were great civil administrators and military leaders. Each had a long list of innovations they came up with in society for their respective times. Both conquered the majority of their nations using similiar methods prior to their deaths, etc, etc. As far as DW vs. SW is concerned, there is no better comparison be made or rivalry to be struck up. FWIW, I consider the Cao Cao-Nobunaga cutscene from WO1 to be among the best in all of the Warriors games.

In all honesty, I don't hold Lu Bu in very high regard (historically), and I'm of the opinion that notable generals like Zhang Liao, Xu Huang, and Zhang Fei all surpassed him at one point or another. I'm quite confident that Honda Tadakatsu is beyond him as well. Since you are taking a historic perspective however, I think you're also exaggerating Tadakatsu's achievements a bit as well. "Never being scathed in battle" is just a rumor, but in the likely scenario of it being true, daimyo and generals rarely entered combat personally. Also, while there's little doubt that Tadakatsu was a talented warrior, he has never been mentioned as a duelist on par with the likes of Musashi. But I won't undermine his actual achievements. In my opinion, Honda Tadakatsu was still a brilliant strategist and undoubtedly a fierce warrior in his own right. Especially in a historical context, I think the Zhang Fei comparison makes more sense given how much they have in common; certainly more so than comparing him with a backstabbing muscle-head like Lu Bu.
