MSY, I'll give you some:

Kazumasu Takigawa: Oda retainer who is Keiji's father/uncle. He fights the Hojo after Nobunaga's demise.

Teruzumi Akashi (not Akechi, Wei-Yan): Ukita retainer. He become a Christian and took the name John. He fought at Sekigahara and Osaka.

Tsunamoto Oniniwa: Masamune's retainer. Part of Date Triumvirate with Kagetsuna and Shigezane.

Iehisa Shimazu: Yoshihiro's brother. He lead campaigns against Takanobu and the Sagara.

Masatoyo Naito: Takeda retainer. Part of Shingen's 4 Guardian Kings. Died at Nagashino.

Yataro Onikojima: Uesugi retainer. Known as "The Ogre".

Kageie Kakizaki: Uesugi retainer. Kenshin refered him as "Echigo's finest".

Nagayoshi Mori: Not much to tell, but he was in Komaki so he's more important than his brother.

And I believe no such thing as Hidemitsu Saito. There are Hidemitsu Akechi and Toshimitsu Saito.

I know it's a whislist and you can choose who you like, but, what did these guys do that is so noteworthy? You gotta say that that list is just kind of made up from the generic officers from SW2 you just came up with.
Well, I don't mean to speak for Wei Yan, but I think I can come up with some reasons for why he might want a couple of them...

Masatoyo Naito - One of Shingen's greatest retainers; came from a disgraced clan which was returned to glory by Shingen*; served as a fighting general throughout the Takeda "Golden Age"; led a great charge which tore through the Tokugawa ranks at Mikatagahara; was a frontline officer at Nagashino, where it took a large number of arrows to bring him down

Kageie Kakizaki - One of Kenshin's top officers; Major contributor to Kenshin's unification of Echigo; led the vanguard at Kawanakajima which saw Nobushige Takeda slain; Fought against the Hojo and Asahina; Later accused of treason with Nobunaga Oda and executed*; Kenshin apparently said he was visited by Kageie's ghost shortly before his death*

*- Not so much feats as interesting tidbits to include in a potential Story
EDIT: In addition to what CA said; Morimasa Sakuma, I believe, was Katsuie's nephew and right-hand man (not Toshiie)

It's already been confirmed at TGS that Koei still has more new characters to be revealed, so here my wants:

Masayuki Sanada
Nobuyuki Sanada
Hidetada Tokugawa
Kojuuro Katakura
Tadaoki Hosakawa
Matsu Maeda
Ujimasa Hojo
Naomasa Li
Katsuyori Takeda
Any character from the Shimazu Clan
Ujiteru Imagawa
Yoshikage Asakura
Nobufasa Baba
Dosetsu Tachibana
Kagekatsu Uesugi

and that's pretty much it. ;)

masatoyo served shingen and katsuyori faithfully, and dueled with tadakatsu at mikatagahara (his horsemen charged ieyasu, and tadakatsu stopped them).yataro and kageie were important uesugi retainers, especially kageie, and they served kenshin and kagekatsu many times.tsunamoto i don't know.teruzumi akashi was a great retainer and friend of hideie ukita.hideyasu was son of ieyasu and served his father and hidetada faithfully. nagayoshi was from the oda(brother of ranmaru, participated in many oda battles, then served the ikeda).iehisa shimazu was a great general from kyushu(almost as great as yoshihiro and yoshihisa).harunaga stayed loyal to the toyotomi until their end.kazumasu was an oda retainer, and fought some battles against hideyoshi. morimasa sakuma was a loyal man to katsuie shibata, and injurd kiyohide nagakawa fatally.hidemitsu saito i never heard.does that answer your questions?

There was never a man named Hidemitsu Saito. Certainly Hidemitsu and Toshimitsu didn't go "fusion".

A little reminder, Naomasa's surname is Ii, not Li.

Also, Ujiteru Imagawa is Yoshimoto's brother, right? From the current condition, he'll never be in the game (he's not so famous either).

Actually Ujiteru was a important figure of the Imagawa clan. He was involved in battles before Okehazama (battling the Oda and stuff).

Such as Azukizaka? Well, given that Yoshimoto is still a dork he never was (he was actuaally a genius), Ujiteru only have 5% of ever show up.

For the Imagawa, I think it will be better to have Sessai Taigen or that Asahina guy.

well ok somebody mentioned masatoyo and kageie i will try and mention some more of them

opps was supposed to say Hidemitsu Akechi

Yataro Onikajima was said to of been the strongest warrior in the Uesugi he was one of the main Uesugi warriors and at the battle of Kawanakajima 4th battle he fought Masakage Yamagata to a draw. in the sw2 kenshin story he was in every mission under kenshin i think

Tsunamoto Oniniwa he along with Kojuro and Shigezane were called the Date trivium they were the main date generals in the date clan

Terezumi Akashi was a general who fought for the toyotomi under the ukita clan at sekigahara he was a christian warrior who fought in many battles against the Tokugawa. in the kessen game it mentioned that Ieyasu hated him and sent people to hunt him down

Hideyasu Yuki was the son of Ieyasu but was raised by Hideyoshi clan i don't know much about his hiostory but it might spice up the Hideyoshi/Ieyasu story

Nagayoshi Mori was Ranmaru Mori's older brother he was knicknamed The Devil Mori he was a strong warrior but didn't always listen to orders he served for alongtime under Nobunaga's son Nobutada after the death of Nobunaga he went to to Ikeda clan at Komaki he went on a sneak attack but was shot and killed

Iehisa Shimazu was Yoshihiro's bro and the father of Toyohisa Shimazu he was one of the famed commanders for the shimazu clan. he fought bravely against the Toyotomi but died suddenly at his castle soem sorces say poison but probably died of illness. was said top have been the best warrior of all the shimazu clan

Kazumasu Takigawa was one of the oda clan members who was sent to help ieyasu at mikatagahara when nobunaga died he sided with Katsuie but when his castle was attacked by hideyoshi he switched sides. he fought at komaki but performed badly for his shame he shaved his head and dissapeared

Morimassa Sakuma was one of the Shibata clan members at Shizukatake he disobeyed orders and continued fighting he died in that battle
