But as i lvled up, i could easily wipe the floor with him (even in a duel if i took an officer with a projectile C1, poison orb FTW ) They made him a lot harder in DW5 with the endless musou rage he has, and the stats increase. Just like the Yellow Turban rebellion, the DW4 version is my fav since you immediately reach the gate and face Lu Bu, then you go through and enter Luo Yang. It is a beautiful stage with good music, but i really hate it when Dong Zhuo runs away
	The name's Pang Tong. I do what it takes to get the job done. Nothing more DW Strikeforce/ Pang Tong duel

I may have been much younger and less aware and experienced of the series, but his AI was impressive like him blocking and basically being in a great state. He made me feel intimidated and very inferior. Generic: ''I..It...It's... Lu Bu!!'' Lu Bu: ''Get out of my way!'' Generic: ''Ughhh!''

Especially when Lu Bu comes out, then the 'fun' begins and his music plays. Surviving his onslaught is the best part!

Thats mad on Chaos, but very rewarding to complete. And that scene with Liu Bei, Quan and Cao Cao uniting their weapons will be one of the memories I will keep from the series.

Its possible if you can lure the likes of Dong Zhuo and Zhang Jiao from the 3 heroes. Otherwise get a high 90's weapon with Flash, Air Wave and other usefuls and you can do it. And even then its just about them acting stupid in order for you to have a chance, but you can do it, I've done it a few times. Plus I only really play the stages that have great music since I've done everything story-wise. But this version is an exception, its for the challenge.

Even if I did have to try and avoid Lu Bu on DW3 and DW6. Though I think it was improved when they seperated it from Si Shui Gate. I just hope that it will remain cool.

Posts: 4,284 Group: Members Member #7,714 Joined: June 2, 2007	I voted for "It's...its...LU BU!!!" simply for the laughs and truth. Hu Lao Gate will always be one of my favourite stages in a Dynasty Warriors game. It's the only stage in the game where I'll be prepared to be killed without playing on Hard or Chaos. Fighting Lu Bu was never easy, no matter how many times I try, winning him in a duel in Dynasty Warriors 4 was near impossible. Other than the fact Lu Bu may stomp you infront of the gate, the rest of the stage is rather easy. Very few reinforcements in the stage, and the enemy formations are layed out pretty evenly. Great stage for someone just starting out the game, I felt great playing on this stage when I first got the game.

Its a nice simple all-charge at the gate stage, nothing to complex so its a nice stage to just slay everyone. :lol: Most of the BGM are fairly similar to each other, Wall of Fate is my favorite out od them, then theres the LU Bu Theme. :lol:

If you dont get into the main camp in time, Lu Bu goes straight for yuan shao and you loose in like 2 seconds, but if you do go into the main camp, lu bu comes to the main camp and makes it alot harder.... Lu Bu was easy in the past, but hes a hard mother f#$@er in DW6...

青龙 Posts: 1,712 Group: Moderators Member #6,080 Joined: March 15, 2007	Hu Lao Gate Stage is one of my favorite because charismatic characters Lu Bu, Diao Chan, Zhang Liao & Dong Zhuo appear in battle. Lu Bu is always difficult to defeat the first time, once you've defeat him, it become easier & you can use Red Hare without equiping the horse saddle ^^ Usually, it's always a "big" stage (map) & lot of soldiers are in it. The only thing I find in all DWs Hu Lao Gates, it's the snow even if it's in the Story (though I like the snow, in those stages snowing make me sad I don't know why XD)

Hu Lao Gate has always made me rather sad too. except for DW6 where everyone seems less personal. DW3 is my favorite, i always regret having to kill Diao Chan in the portal before you face Dong Zhou, who is fairly difficult to kill here.

First Lieutenant Posts: 166 Group: Members Member #18,265 Joined: September 13, 2008	Well, for Zuo Ci's 4th weapon, you have to fight him. I know: People have called Zuo Ci broken. Still, if you don't have decent stats, you'll be creamed. On hard (not chaos). In DW 4, many "hidden" stages have defeating Lu Bu as one requirement. Suffice to say that I haven't unlocked too many of those.

Love to steal Lu Bu's Red Hare when he fell from his horse. From DW3 to DW5, the Hu Lao Gate stages were improved. I like the stage in DW5, where you can avoid fighting against Lu Bu (if you have low level, it is better not mess up with him) and go to another path to defeat Zhang Liao. Then you will have the chance to kill the pig! Kill Dong Zhuo quickly before Lu Bu kills you!

By the way,if anyone play before DW4 on PSP,when you attack Lu Bu on Hu Lao.As soon as you hit him until half life,he'll be in hyper mode.....

Its one of the many I get excited about, and I'm sure its the same with everyone else, despite them liking him or not. In my opinion Lu Bu's track is one track you can rely on to make a highly rated impact on the series. He's the demon of Dynasty Warriors, so its important for MASA or whoever to continue to make fantastic pieces of sound. So I'm guessing everyone will be eager to see the version from Dynasty Warriors 7, whenever that time comes.

I also in the past found H Lao funny when u aproach Dong Zhuop I cant remember what it says but i think he says something soething gloy and when he says glory it cracks me up.

Posts: 6,827 Group: Admins Member #3,636 Joined: October 5, 2006 Gender Male	Well in terms of fighting him for the first time, and if you are not playing on easy, then there's no chance getting through his armour and stumbling him for the rest of your attacks (square string.) He'll just swing and take chunks out of you, possibly sending you straight to red health. Then its just all about running in circles and using your musou attack to wither him down. The tactic thats been abused in every installment (little to no other option...) That or getting lucky with a number of charges in DW6. So it depends how you define the challenge really.

And then you have to worry about him dodging your musou attack and coming back with some attack of his own. And if he activates his special, just run or you WILL die.

Posts: 3,650 Group: Members Member #4,250 Joined: November 19, 2006	DW2: It was an interesting stage to play especially against Lu Bu in here. Luckily I was able to kill him off with my maxed out Sun Jian even though the officers have the ability to reign health when getting knocked down. DW4: I liked the stage but when I went up against Lu Bu, that is when I started to hate the stage and I ended up avoiding him because he had killed me a few times already. DW5: I actually liked this stage and going up against Lu Bu isn't as bad as before. I actually enjoy going fighting him here. DW6: First time I encountered him, I just avoided him. Once your leveled up good then it gets easier. Majority of the time I do enjoy playing this stage because I like taking the challenge of killing Lu Bu just for the heck of it.
