Nobunaga's firearms go against the mighty Takeda cavalry! Which will win, the cavalry or the new modern warfare of firearms?! Plus who's side do you play on the most and what do you think of the music? I like it myself.

It's so hard to choose, but this is in my top 3 favorite KOEI stages (SW1 version...). SW2's was fun, but SW1 you actually had to do something to make the rifle barrage succeed. SW2 it just seemed a little too easy and the muskets didn't seem to actually help you much other than a little damage. In SW1 they insta-kill Masakage, provide massive morale drops for Takeda, and cause general disarray in the Takeda army to the point to where they begin a retreat and you have to chase after them.

There's nothing more fun than playing this stage in the CAW story mode ^_^

In SW1 it's more fun.The muskets actually destroy the Takeda Cavalry, not the player going around and defeating Takeda officers while the muskets do nothing.

Not needed for there uses or not needed overall? Because that would be taking out the whole principle if they were removed. Not as if it will happen though.

I'm a fan of the music in this stage and Nobunaga's control in SW2, pure control, over the battle. He's got good acting in it as well since his lines are personal to the stage and he shouts as if you would do in war.

The stage seems bigger in SW1 and the riflemen actually shoot at you(multiple times in fact) and don't start running after you've defeated 2 of them. That and you pretty much had to make the rifle barrage work or the Takeda Cavalry swarms the Oda, pretty fun either way though.

They flee when you defeat the group leader in SW2, he's in the middle.

From what I've read people really prefer the SW1 version. But its been a long time since I've played that stage. Though I can remember some events like Mitsuhide being in the top left etc, but not the lines of the level.

I LOVED this battle in SW1. Both sides had an epic battle, even Masamune's side it was great if I remember correctly :P

it was much more interactive in the first game, the 2nd was a bit lacking. It was still good, but...meh, wasn't great.

As Sanada said, the SW1 version was MUCH more interactive, to the point where you can make the charge a success, where, in SW2, when you start the stage, the first wave already happened.

I liked playing as the Takeda on this stage, I like seeing my own army getting shot to pieces and trying to get my commander to escape.

I was gutted when the Takeda side of this stage was basically removed. Well, Yukimura has it in his stages but it starts halfway through the battle after the charge.

It's also satisying while playing on the Oda side as well, you can't help but laugh at the plight of those idiots :D

i only played sw2 and xl.but nagashino was one of the only first stages(nobunaga ,no and yukimura) that was worth of a challenge
Great shu men who could have gone further: Ma Liang,Dong Yun,Huang Zhong,Fa Zheng,Huang Quan(in shu i mean,he went well in wei),Liu Chen,Guan Xing,Guan Ping,Guan Tong,Zhang Bao and Mi Zhu
Worthless and dishonorable rats who betrayed shu: Mi Fang,Fu Shi Ren, Fan Jiang,Zhang Da,Meng Da
Enemies who defeated shu in a superb way: Lu Meng,Lu Xun,Sima Yi,Deng Ai,Zhong Hui
Fools of Shu:Liu Chan,Liu Zhang(he served Shu for some time after he was defeated),Zhuge Zhan and Jiang Wei(he was a fool,as he spent shu's resources too much on his northern campaigns)
