Behold the castle that was built in one day~! The Oda's siege on the Saitou clan's invincible bastion. This is one of my favorite stages especially as Hideyoshi. The field battle portion is fun because of all the different sites you have to visit and capture in order to create the one night castle. The castle portion is also one of the best in the game IMO, because it's short (only 4 floors unlike Azuchi's 6), and has one of the more unique missions: Defeat the Mino Three in the same order on both the second and third floor. With the omission of this stage in SW2, I'm really on the edge of my seat to see what they (hopefully) do with it in SW3. |

''Who built the castle in just one day? Its Hideyoshi, Hideyoshi we praise!'' His voice in it makes me want to cry. Don't know whats worse, WO's or that voice. Liked the stage, yes. But I can't remember much to be honest. And was this Mitsuhide's first stage? I think the map was similar anyway. |

I didn't find out until much later that Inabayama Castle and Gifu Castle were really the same castle; I do remember when there was a Siege of Gifu Castle level and being really annoyed that it was a clone of Inabayama (which is funny now that I know better). |

*GASPS! SHOCKED and APPALLED!* i love that cut, one of the most WTH moments in a very WTH game. i far prefer THAT Hideyoshi to the second version, sure he's not very attractive, but he's SO funny and more interesting than the "boy's club" version from SW2. as far as Inabayama scenario goes, easily one of me favorite maps and stages EVER. it's challenging and enjoyable with all the hurry-up missions and fighting all the famous officers. and it's a delight to play as the Lady Noh and assassinate her treacherous father. |
![]() best regards to the lovely Miho for making this banner, it's good to have friends in high places. | |

Awesome stage. I liked the music, the attitude the Saitou had (acting superior, saying they cannot get past the gates, etc) just to have the Oda forces steal some lumber. (How Shameless! They're trying to steal our lumber!) Rushing over there, only to find the lumber is already gone..then you know what's coming. It was really funny when they all say "WHAT IS THAT!" towards the newly built Sunomata The castle interior wasn't as great, however, I never really enjoyed those as much as the field battles. I'd definitely say that Gifu/Inabayama was my favorite, as it was short but sweet (as opposed to long and arduous) and never really a chore. Oh, and I forgot to mention. Hideyoshi will always be the coolest in SW1:XL, mainly because of his "In One Day" song. I thought that voice fit the Pre-Toyotomi Hideyoshi much better, along with his appearance. However, once he defeats the Akechi, I think SW2 appearance suits him more. The voice..I dunno, really. I'm indifferent between his SW1 and 2 Voice for *Ruler* Hideyoshi. |
| I hereby vow, on March 4th, 2009, that if I encounter a spammer and lose twice in a row, my Brawl disc will be shattered to peices and I will have photographic proof. This will remain in my sig until said event happens. | |

When I first played this stage, I sucked at this game, and lost twice in fact (LOL). But now I've grown to love it especially since it has all the best Oda characters
I'm dying for them to bring it back in SW3. Plus I actually liked the music here so a remix would be loved. |

I agree with Lord_Nagamasa on the voice, both seem to suit different ages for Hideyoshi, but whatever the fact, that cutscene is one of the best in SW history. Okayish stage, good for a warm-up, you can also play a Uesugi Vs Oda version in some stories which is also very interesting...

Inabayama was my most favourite castle stage in SW1 and SWXL. Possibly my favourite moment out of the entire stage was hearing the "One Night Castle" song and seeing the "One Night Castle" dance, I even got up and sang the song and did the dance*sighs*. The stage itself is awesome, both for the Saito's "You'll never take this castle!" attitude opposed to the Oda who end up taking the castle anyways. Bring this back for SW3, and this time, bring back actually being in the castle! |

I think that Toyotomi Hideyoshi's dance after his building of Sunomata Castle is funny! Noh's story is intensified with the sibling rivalry, and so is Oda Nobunaga's with the fact that family will not stand in his way. Well, eventually Akechi Mitsuhide will at Honnouji...but I don't think he was historically in this battle. The castle is amazing, with its numerous traps and their explosives. I like to watch it go KABOOM!!! |

I absolutely LOVE this stage by far the best in SW1: nice layout, lot's of unique characters, some cutscenes it has it all really. Plus it's always refreshing to get to fight a clan that isn't the Uesugi, Takeda, Imagawa etc. The Oda battles with the Saito were early on, but fairly decisive in terms of slingshotting Nobunaga into power. This stage is a must for SW3. |
