Yamatai, or Yamataikoku as it's also known is where the Wei army faces against the Orochi army. This is in a way, Himiko's stage and she does makes an appearance in it, but you won't be able to face her. This is one of my favorite stages in WO2. The music is like in my top 3 and the stage design is just brilliant. You'd have to go back and forth repeatedly to protect your officers and all. So what's your opinion guys? |

Haha, well I decided to find this topic and talk about this! Those are really, really, really really... really really annoying! They are the clay effigies that Himiko summons just to end up fleeing the field... And whats worse they are guarded and operating via Keiji's survival. Not only that but a key treasure prize awaits if you defeat Keiji very quickly. These wind me up so much! Moving on, great music, a large map and a so-so story to the battle? Yeah, I wouldn't call it anything special story-wise except seeing Himiko and the maps design. |

Well I broke my personal best in KOs on this very stage. 1801 using Zhen Ji, 1634 was the old one. Very fast paced with a lot of enemies to kill. Hmm can't kill those statues, blah, oh well. Could have given Himiko some air time and let her fight it out hehe. |

Yamatai was an enjoyable stage, the first one of the few that I exclusively used Cao Ren in :ph43r: Those clay effigies were REALLY annoying as I was trying to defeat Keiji, but Cao Ren was able to overcome them and get the treasure in the process Not enough can be said on how awesome the KOTODAMA RUNNER track is in this stage B) I'll remember this stage as the place where I discovered the entertaining art of "Boar Bouncing"

I'm not sure if I'm 100% correct here, but I'm sure that those effigies even cancel your musou attacks which your suppose to be invincible with...? I do really think they are the most annoying, as there are ways to dealing with the magicians and with archers certain running attacks like Yukimura's C1 which deflects the arrows. |

I think they don't cancel your musou attack. They merely interrupt your combos and send you flying, even Power types are affected. That said, I'm still tired of those moving critters repelling me as if I were that unattractive to them. |

Offtopic: Whoa, 1801 kills I never got that many kills on any Warriors game... How did you do that? I only got 1200 Kills on Yamatai... Anyway, I like this stage, it looks cool, alot of enemies and officers to fight and the only thing I don't like about it is those weird statues Himiko summons, though I don't mind them that bad. |

All I do is kill them faster than they can run away. I've never been quick to kill off base captains either. And having an AOE character helps. I can break that record very easily. When I'm done saving the Asakura, I make my way back to the cannons as Da Ji's moble unit will move in on them. The Asakura will be killing enemies in the south while I'm away. Could just get a fast horse, mass kill all enemies in the south and then ride back up. I guess that's about 200-300 extra kills :P. |

, it was awesome to hear Ma Chaos 1000Ko praise quote twice in one battle.on topic: Ya, this battle does getting very annoying with those darned statues. I just try to beat Keiji then get the crap out of there. Its not even that they do heavy damage as they just annoy, while trying to fight. The rest of the battle is not so bad though. |

Because most of the time he is alone fighting generic officers + a swarm of peons. Hence the need to go back and forth in this stage. |

Yamatai has a similar map to Fan Castle and other stages. This stage has an AWESOME music which is Kotodama Runner. I don't like the clay effigies that Himiko summons near Keiji Maeda. This is a good stage to achieve many K.O.s. Yamatai is used in Story Mode and Dream Mode. I liked the Dream Mode version better since you're fighting all of Orochi Army generals.

I loved it, big stage, great music, but in the Wei story, Jiang Wei was a bit stupid with his planning, he wasn't that bad of a stratagist, was he? |

I love this stage. It's one of my favorites in WO2. One of, if not the, easiest stages to get 1000+ KOs. I love the music too; it's great. The Azai and Asakura showing up to bail out Jiang Wei and Co. was fun too. (And it has a great Dream Mode counterpart). |
