One of my favorite stages in the game, thanks to various things:

- Music
- Magoichi's comments
- Those ''pesky messengers''
- Yuan Shao's comments
- Yukimura VS Zhao Yun (it was too short though!)
- Fighting Da Ji for my first time

What about you?

Ah! The 'phantom' lines really cracked me up! I was like ROFLing over and over when Zhao Yun said those. Also for the fact that both sides are actually misguided and was 'manipulated' by Da Ji in the end. Music was awesome too!

I never really did get all the messengers away though. Is it possible for them to not spot us and get away with it?

Yeah, you can kill them all but it takes a bit of searching and making sure you don't lose them. And yes, Zhao Yun's lines were so unlike him lol. Plus Yuan Shao always cracks me up.

This stage is pretty good. I was surprised at how quickly Wei Yan's officers get defeated though. The Zhao Yun + Yukimura meeting was meh ... Magoichi's line about "not everyone having his brains" was funny though.

Approaching the enemy without defeating the messengers can create some decent challenges in front of the castle.

One of the reasons I liked the battle was that I was able to unlock Yukimura. He promptly replaced one of the other team members during my first playthrough. The rest of the story I played using him, Ginchiyo and Zhao Yun.

Not a favorite stage of mine, but not a bad one either.

I love the stage, though my reason is pretty shallow.

'Your husband's left you, and now you've lost the will to live - is that it?'
'Oh! You just crossed the line, lady!'

.....Good times.

Yeah, Cheng Du Stage in WO is so super ^^ (Also in DWs series, I think Cheng Du Stages are always so great)

Music is so great, & suits very well the stage :P

Magoichi's comments are funny lol, & Zhao Yun VS Yukimura is interesting but too short XD (30 secondes the Cut-scene or something like that XD)

Zhao Yun and Yukimura Sanada are always praising each other in this stage. Koei must really love those two, why they've been given such high remarks.

'Your spear, I almost can not trace its movements!'' or something like that.

WO Cheng Du is way much better than DW5 Cheng Du. I liked the cutscene and music.( SAMURAI SCANNERS) There are a lot of generals and enemies. Magoichi is kind of funny. The conversation between Yue Ying and Da Ji was really good.
My thoughts are pointing to such a violent world.

Will remember this stage for Yue Ying's PI. Luckily, I saved during the course of one game. By running off elsewhere, I let one of Wei Yan's generals bite the dust, which is a no-no for the item.

Apart from that, nothing really mind-blowing. Yuan Shao is crack, as always, but not as much as the stage where you rescue him.

I didn't mind the WO2 version, its just that I found the WO1 version more of a impact with the excellent music. The story in it was a bit better as well. WO2 was just all about chasing Liu Bei around the map with obstacles in your way whereas WO1 had the spy units, facing Yukimura as Zhao Yun, and the other notes I've noted in the first post.

This was my first impression when playing the stage for the first time in WO2.

I didn't like the WO2 version of Cheng Du since its just pursuing Liu Bei. The more and more officers you defeat the more slower that Liu Bei escapes. This stage could have been better with more officers like Ma Chao, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei, ect. Actually I liked the WO1 version better.
My thoughts are pointing to such a violent world.
