One of my favorites in DW2/3 because it was so challenging and the music piece Sacred Grounds was so unbelievably epic. Plus I liked it how in DW3 when you are Jiang Wei you get the scene where Zhuge passes his duties onto him. In DW4 it was a cool cutscene where Sima Yi is fooled. But nothing else stood out for me other than that. DW5 was good for his shooting star and Zhuge's death fall. DW6's was good because of the new terrain, but I just didn't feel that the music was as high. But Xiahou Ba has got some skill, thats for sure. :ph43r: |

To me, the most epic stage there is... DW2 was a total deadlock between the two forces, you had to break the enemy lines of attack and then charge at them full on. DW3 was more spread out and the catapults do a mark on you, but I never really struggled that much. DW4 was push in, retreat and push in for Shu, while for Wei it was more attacking on all fronts, still very challenging stage. DW5 was fun, but wasn't that difficult on either sides, though it had alot of gimmicks in it. DW6 one was epic on the Wei Side, if the enemies caught one base, your in trouble, if Wei Yan goes beserk, your in trouble. For Shu, it can end really quickly or really slowly, still it was great to play, you had to repel the enemy alot. Best music piece was Sacred Ground, it just spelled out how crucial this battle is, though DW6 Geniuses' Sanctuaries wasn't bad |

^About DW6. I found that a struggle to complete those missions where you had to protect all bases for 15 minutes and defeat Yue Ying and Guan Ping within 10, I think. And if one base fell, the whole ambush would appear at that specific base. And though it was cool where Sima Yi made Wei Yan defect - his laughing was done fairly well in this game, and he does a lot of it. |

Wu Zhang is definitely the hardest stage in every DW game, and they are fun, but definitely the most challenging (espically on chaos...) |

I don't know if any know this since its in no guides or even YouTube, but there's an event in DW3 when using Jiang Wei, that Zhuge Liang will pass his duties onto him near the Shu camp where Zhuge is. You must loose your allies and have very low morale, IIRC its 1 or less. |

I remember this stage from DW 5, to obtain the Sun/Flash Orb. Zhu Rong, max stats + 4th weapon, on Hard. Nearly had my hide handed to me. Fortunately, I passed the stage, and the orb is a godsend. |

Wu Zhang Plains, is usually one of the hardest & latest stage (to unlock). This stage is also Zhuge Liang VS Sima Yi rivalry stage, I like it for that ^^ But I would like it's Zhuge Liang who win lol even if I like Sima Yi for his sarcasms too (in DW3) XD |

Wu Zhang plains is always one of my favorite levels! In DW3, it actually sort of scared me 'cause it was so dark and there were mountains everywhere. It was such a massive level to, a horse was almost mandatory to make it. DW4 stage was pretty good. There were some good cut scenes with Sima Yi. And DW4 first introduced the MOVING wooden oxes!! xD Also, I LOVED how every character had a different taunt for when they first approached Sima Yi. It always made the stage interesting to play with a new character, just to see how they'd verbally pwn him. DW5 version I didn't particularly enjoy. For one, the music was AWFUL! And two, well I didn't like Sima Yi's voice actor or appearance in DW5, and that level just made it all the more apparent for me. Though one thing I like is how at the Shu main camp where Zhuge Liang was situated, it looked like he's on a disco dance floor... anyone know what I mean? In DW6, I find the level challenging but hard to navigate at times. My mini-map is hard to read on my SD TV, so if I fall into the valley it's difficult finding a way out. Another thing, I REALLY missed the in-game cut scenes of Sima Yi observing Zhuge Liang's falling star and Zhuge "dieing" and returning. Those are CLASSIC! And what gives, both Cao Cao and Liu Bei are present, so it really took the spot light away from the two strategists... All in all, I think DW4 was the best version, though it's been forever since I've played. |

i know exactly what you mean. and it becomes even sillier in WO when it's Da Ji and her Mirror-Balls-Of-Doom that reside there. DW3 is my all-time WZP favorite, because i loved the noir-ish night levels DW3, alot. DW6 is just really DARK in all the night levels, if you are not playing on an HD TV. i had my PS3 hooked up to my "bedroom" TV which is tiny when i first got it, i complained endlessly to folks about HOW DARK everything was in DW6, finally Chin asked me nicely in a PM, if i had a HD TV... so i moved my PS3 and man, i was embarrassed. i felt like WZP lost some of it's grandeur in DW6 with the non historical elements that Manji mentioned. it's structurally nice but it feels tiny compared to New He Fei and Shi Ting, even Mt. Ding Jun. |

Yay, love them! In DW4 - to me, the moving wooden oxes are so weird. They are like robots! On Shu side, I was so surprised that every characters have different taunts when they approached Sima Yi. You can use Wei or Wu characters, too, to play on this stage, just wanna know what their taunts. In DW5 - the stage was improved. I enjoy play on this stage. Many interesting and dramatic cutscenes. In this stage (on Wei side) is mostly defending on the fronts and then attacking the fleeing Shu when the news of Zhuge Liang's dead is heard. In Jiang Wei's musou, I feel so sad when looking the fallen Liang's star. I like at the Shu main camp where Liang is praying, a very nice disco dance floor

DW2: I don't remember this stage too much but I like the music for it. DW4: I love playing this stage because I actually enjoyed playing it compared to all the other stages in this game. DW5: This one can be a struggle to do since officers can die so easily but I enjoy the stage since it's a good place to rack up the KO points. DW6: The map can be confusing and that is where I start to dislike the stage because I always end up going the wrong way. |

By the way DW6 Wu zhang Plains got the most funniest quote between Zhuge liang And Sima yi when you met him(Of course with Zhuge liang) Sima Yi seems like say: "Ah....Zhuge Liang You irritate me....I wish you could dissapear before my face! Zhuge Liang retort:"Then I shall help you to close your eyes so that you would'nt able to see me appear before your face! |

i have a love/hate relationship with this stage, i liked how it was epic and challenging, i loved the music and events, i loved the big map in all except 6 and 5. now here comes my rant, i hated dw5 wu zhang plain, i dont know why i just hated it! dw6 just plain sucked in my opinion, they bombed a great level, i like dw6 but they ruined this stage, in dw6 it was so damn dark i could not see a thing, there was no jiang wei which just is a totaly different rant i wont go through. the navagation was impossible for me and this is probly the main reason i hate this dw6 level is cuz the first time i played it i got knocked of a big cliff while tring to save my teammate it took me 4 and a half minuits to get back and he was dead along with two others, sorry of you dont agree thats just how i feel |

For DW6, stay away from cliff edges if you can't get your bearings right. Don't jump off a cliff, unless you know damn well what you're doing. Too dark: Try adjusting the brightness. It's one of those battles fought at night. |

I love the Wu Zhang stages, I was a bit disappointed with DW5 Wu Zhang though, music was horrible and the battle was layed out too bad, running to stop supplies, helping allies on two different paths and at least somebody important dying and allowing hordes of other enemies to raid your camp. I like to have some control, but DW5 Wu Zhang usually turned out bad, both sides I played on, Shu and Wei. However I do love 'Wu Zhang'. It was a highlight of DW3, something very unique about it, same for DW6, which is always pretty big. I think the battle can go either way in DW3 and 6, and you'l just have to deal with it, kinda fun. DW5 just makes me feel pathetic and rush to get the stage done, nothing 'big finale' about it. In all honesty I can't remember DW4 Wu Zhang all to well, all I know is that it didn't feel the same as its predecessor or DW6. Edited by *Burning* Devil Scholar, Apr 12 2009, 11:03 AM.

Brilliant level DW5 Wei is immensly hard. From the start, your soldiers are struggling and then theres stopping the supply line and rescuing Zhong Hui. But when Zhuge Liang dies, it's brill. DW5 Shu is nice and straight foward, and the Wei don't do anything until your ready for them. The only really annyoing things are Deng Ai's catapults and Zhong Hui's attack unit DW6 Wei is good, just hack away at the Shu, rescue your units and win. Nice and easy DW6 Shu is just as easy and straight foward as Wei's. Just stick with Wei Yan and you'll be fine. Music for both of them is brilliant |

I dun mind Wu Zhang. Dw4 was probably the best one, there's a lot of events there, you're protecting bridges/the wooden ox and all that. It's quite a task, which I like. Dw3 was quite a hassle, one of my favorite tracks from there as well |

Agreed. Definetely agreed. In order to get Yue Ying and Guan Ping down in 10 quite much forces you to fool around to the front lines without assisting your own forces, then you gotta move back and hang around there. How I did this was first making sure no officer is in the front bases fighting, then rushing directly to Yue Ying and Guan Ping, going to make Wei Yan defect and then just protecting the bases personally until the time was up and letting Wei Yan clear me a road from south-east to south-west to their base. Of course this cost me a berserk Wei Yan but at least I got the missions done. I liked the stage lots on Wei side at DW6 but the music was definetely not the greatest of choices. For Shu the stage was pretty much "Protect Wei Yan, go kick ass after" . In DW5 I remember first time dropping F-bombs at the game cause I had no fast horse yet. It made the stage much much MUCH more tedious than it should. The whole hassle with the wooden ox's and juggernauts and all made it feel on Shu side even less enjoyable. On Wei side the stage was more enjoyable cause all you had to do for hassle was to make your catapults working really, then it was simple tasks of messing up supply line etc. DW5 had very nice cutscenes. Loved all of them. Shooting star, arbalests, Sima Yi rubbing his eyes thinking Jiang Wei = Zhuge Liang.. It was all fun. Good stage overall but usually either difficult to navigate or too large. EDIT: Surprising enough it feels in DW5 like Shu is on defense even though they should be on offense I believe, and on DW6 it feels like both are on steady offense while Shu has the cliff terrain that suggest defensive tactics, yet they rush forward on their story. Weird. Edited by RedFoxxie, Jul 13 2009, 04:27 PM.
