I Love the stage even though I don't play the Wu Forces in the stage . In the Wu Forces I don't occur the fire attack. On the Shu Forces there are some generals that are invincible after the fire attack. So please vote. |

DW3 - It was very challenging, one of the better stages. Sun Quan has so many archer bodyguards its frightening! Koei really went over-the-top in protecting him, haha. DW4 - To destroy that spy in the tower and get Zhu Ran to appear plus kill him was a bit tough if you weren't careful enough. Then you escape into the maze and Zhuge makes a bridge to attack Wu. DW5 - Great facing hyper Gan Ning and Ling Tong. And Liu Bei's opening scene where he is enraged is quality material. DW6 - Awesome map design, great difficulty and the maze was the best yet. |

DW3 Yet another example of the DW3 version of the stage being larger and more epic. It was challenging, and as LDZ said, facing Sun Quan surrounded by the broken damage archers in that game was a drag. DW4 My favorite level in the entire series. This also holds a place for me since it was also the level I earned most of my Lvl 20 items on. Playing either side is a blast. Whether taking out the watchtowers as Wu to make the attack succeed on its own, or preventing the attack chasing down Zhu Ran with Shu. Plus there are the numerous reinforcements that come once the attack either fails or succeeds. Zhuge Liang on the boat bridge, or The Two Qiaos, and Zhou Tai ambushing you once you reach Wu's main camp. The ony gripe I have is that the maze was too easy to figure out. DW5 Excellent vid with Liu Bei before the stage begins, I dont blame the man at all. And I really like the scene with Zhao Yun and Liu Bei when you play Zhao Yun's story. Hyper Gan Ning and Ling Tong at the same time Oh yeah! Though you can get cheap and kill Ling Tong with arrows while he's across the way.
This stage is probably more historically set up than any of the others with the wide Shu formation, and the river in between the camps. Lacking the maze, but thats okay.DW6 You cant prevent the fire attack, which forces you to babysit Liu Bei (or the general that takes his place if you play as him). That really sucks, as you cant prevent the Chi Bi fire attack either unless you play Lu Bu's forces. No too fond of this battle overall, but the maze redeems it to a degree |

GoW, I believe its Da Qiao and Zhou Tai that ambush you in DW4, and thats when you fail to kill Zhu Ran. They appear right at the entrance to the maze in that camp area. |

Yeah, it's both Qiaos and Zhou Tai. They appear wheter the fire attack succeeds, or when you enter the Wu camp if you prevented it. The DW4 version was my fav, since there was a lot to do and it was pretty challenging too. There are lots of generals who appear at the wrong place and the wrong time (Zhuge Liang, or Zhou Tai with the 2 Qiaos) Wu side was pretty fun too if you played Nan Territory before this one, then you get a hyper Guan Yu after you. |
| The name's Pang Tong. I do what it takes to get the job done. Nothing more DW Strikeforce/ Pang Tong duel | |

Well: DW2 The true Yi Ling, preventing the fire attack was very difficult as you aren't even notified of the enemies movements, they already start at the beggining of the stage so Zhang Fei may be knocked out pretty quickly, also Guan Yu is surrounded by the enemy towards the north-east and you have to support Ma Chao and Huang Zhong in the middle meaning you will lose at least one of the five tiger generals least likely being Zhao Yun as he is more of a supporter in this stage. DW3 Boring, nothing really defining about it, even the Stone Sentinal Maze wasn't anything worth talking about and Zhu Ran's movements are very obvious. DW4 The whole finding Zhu Ran thing was fun and even if the fire attack suceeded, Zhuge Liang comes to reinforce anyways with his boats to the enemy camp. DW5 Woohoo, hyper Gan Ning and Ling Tong, I also like the storyline in this stage, namely that of Liu Bei, Ma Chao and SSX. Pretty fun stage, the fire attack is pretty hard to prevent DW6 Wonderful, a great disadvantage, something I like though babysitting isn't fun, the maze was good though but the Wu Camp wasn't that far away so you can end this fairly quickly. So yeah, my favorite would be the DW2 one. |

I'm somewhere between Love it and Don't mind it so I just voted for Don't mind it. When I'm on the Shu side, I love this battle, the cutscene just before the stage gets me psyched up knowing I would be whooping Wu to their place using my favourite Shu character. I hate playing this stage on Wu side, knowing I have to slay my fellow Shu mates who were already demoralised during this fight and add to that a fire attack which I had to help execute. The layout of the map was ok, it's a pretty decent night time stage, and being one of the later stages, the opponents were strong, which meant more time to land few extra hits on them. |

Don't have a favourite, but I HATE DW6 Yi Ling, especially when trying to navigate the maze. All the shadows and shade made my eyes hurt just trying to ride in it. In the name of realism they made it an eyesore (not to mention the dark shades don't let you enjoy the actual environments) |

Don't mind it! The maze makes me feeling worried because I often get lost. When you entered the maze, the map was gone! After I knew about this crazy maze, I try to remember the paths or just follow the CPU ally |

One of my favorite battles. I probably wouldn't like it as much if it weren't for the maze. It's so fun. Especially when I'm riding around it and I get to kill tons of confused enemies. The design for the stage was brilliant in DW6. Much more fun and the maze was the best of them all.

For the heaven sake why all other DW series yi ling is quite easy and ok but I like DW5 better but......I hate DW6!!!!!!!! Same as you cannot prevent the fire attack at Chi Bi unless you are on Lu Bu side. At Yi Ling both side got dificulties in DW6 Shu: -Cannot prevent fire attack -Must kill all raiding units including Lu Xun so that they would not enter the Maze -Hell if you start on the East side cause you must clear the enemies on the east side and wayching ppl die in west. -Hell in West but at least you can save ppl in West but still need to run to East to help Liu Bei clear way. -Prevent Wu units get through the Maze and if they are in the maze you must find them and kill them. Wu -Zhu Ran muast not get killed before the fire attack. -All the Shu generals will fight like mad bulls! -They can atuomatically get healed and come out of the maze!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Get into the maze is insane and eyesoring -Why there is still Shu reniforcements? Conclusion for DW6 Yi ling: I hate it very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited by EverLp, Jan 9 2009, 01:58 PM.

*sigh* The epicness of going on a hard difficulty with me and my buffed bodyguards on DW3. Soo many men.. It looked epic of how me and my bodyguards just rampaged and completely annihliated them after so long. |

Yi Ling is one of those stage that I find to be a pain to do on either side you play. DW5, Shu Side: It can be somewhat of a pain to thraw out Wu's fire attack when trying to chase down Zhu Ran and you have Ling Tong and Gan Ning following you as well. This can be a hit and miss thing if you don't get Zhu Ran right away. DW5, Wu Side: It can be easier since you are clearing out the enemies for Zhu Ran but if you don't kill Liu Bei quick enough then you have to chase him down through the Stone Sentinel Maze. DW6, Shu Side: No matter what, you can't prevent the fire attack which makes the whole stage kinda pointless and will end up losing a good amount of health but retreating from the fire into the maze is easy since you can view the map for it. DW6, Wu Side: The only problem I have with playing on their side is clearing the Stone Sentinel Maze because there is no map for it until you break all the statues. That maze can be very confusing no matter how many time you done it. I am only comparing these two because I don't remember how they went in the other installments. |

DW 6 Yiling: Oh boy, this one took me a while to figure out the key to victory. Playing as Shang Xiang (first character for the series; completed her story), I was pleasantly surprised that this time, KOEI placed her with Shu. Then, comes the fire attack and other stuff, and I thought,"How do I beat the stage without a horse?" (I don't bother with them in 6.) Cue some thinking... Instead of heading back to take down Gan Xingba, continue south to clear stuff and defeat Lu Xun. Once Wu's scholar general is down, Wu is like a headless chicken. |

I kinda hate Yi Ling in this game... In DW6 on Shu's side the fire attack is unavoidable, while I don't mind my generals losing almost all health it's because a hyper Gan Ning and Wu's best generals all appear at once and make mince meat out of Liu Bei and his army. However, the attack also affects the west... and the army fight terribly throughout... Oh, and the maze doesn't heal anyone... You just sit there... On Wu's side Zhu Ran can't die before the fire attack (I hate that <_<) Shu's generals fight hard, however, I don't mind that as Liu Bei's army historically was doing well before the attack. The maze is meant to confuse Wu forces so I don't mind that... However, what I do hate is Shu's multiple reinforcements... THAT ALSO FIGHT HARD!!! And that the maze heals Shu generals and keeps them hidden until you break the statues <____<... Overall though, I do prefer Wu side ove Shu side... But whatever

At least in DW5:E and Orochi, you HAVE to go into the Maze. I can just easily go around it in DW6. The fact that you can't prevent the fire attack makes the level's replayability quite poor, as well. |

Dw4 Yi Ling Wu Forces is my absolute favorite. You've a lot of responsibilities there. It's quite a lot to do, not to mention all those against you. I usually try and duel em all and wipe em out at once to move quicker, as we know without your speed in this specific lvl it gets tough. The maze was also a pain in the butt at times, but I usually followed an ally of mine cause apparently they knew where they were going. lol |
