Epic, the stage versions are brilliant. The DW3 version for the difficulty, track music, huge Wu army ripping through the middle. The archer ambush which is insane when triggered, and the traps, though the tornados were pretty easy to avoid lol - unless you went for the middle box. :ph43r:

DW5 for its siege and DUAL NRG music. And DW6 for its amazing music, A Great Giant, opening the gates and advancing, and the Conveyor Belt.

Always my favorite level, in every DW, except 4, where I had to settle for Cheng Du, due to it's absence. My favorite version is the latest one, because that conveyor belt is cool.

I've been thrown off it a few times lol. It was probably when I was fighting off Lu Xun and his allies around him. Though I find its the case of constantly jumping like against all the wind traps in many of the games to get through fairly well and with no real problems.

Love it
In Dynasty Warriors 5, this is no doubt my favourite stage, it is at least one notch higher than the others. The map itself is just beautiful, I've never seen a brighter atmosphere than this one.
The stage is big, with maze-like paths within the castle, this immediately restricts your ability to just head in there and slay the commander to end the stage, which I don't really like.
Heaps of reinforcements on either ends of the map to keep you occupied, full of in-castle traps and whoever is playing on the top side has the best base/castle structure I've seen.
10/10 for stage, with relation to favourite stages, DW5 He Fei Castle has no equal.

I quite love the stage. I think the DW3 version was the best, it had the arrow hallway and the ambush by the garden, and also on the far right side, there was a unique type place where you dont want to fall off of the bridge or something (sorry, havent played in a while, so I can remember exactly).
As always I cant remember it in DW4, although I remember Xu Chang pretty well.
It was good in DW5, but I felt it was lacking of traps, as all they had were those stupid flaming statues. I liked it in DW6, the Flaming statues were a lot cooler and the speed trap was really cool, and a great fight with Zhang Liao.

That ambush archery scene was a nightmare from hell! Though the first time when you accidentally set if off by entering that platform, it was a matter of learning and not doing it again (unless you wanted to  ) Archers galore!

That bridge scene your talking about comes from the fact you can face Gan Ning and Xu Zhu who are stranded away from any force, and also just infront of where a special item appears and where loads and loads of archers are hiding (for some odd reason...)

I found the scene near the end where Quan and some soldiers look right to left in perfect coordination always funny to see.

It's insanely fun in every game except DW3 for me. I was never a huge fan of that battle in 3. I can't remember if it was in DW4, but I don't believe it was. DW5's was amazing, and the scale of the battle was insane. I killed 3000+ soldiers here, a record that I haven't even come close to replicating. I preferred playing as Wei, but playing as Wu was fun too. DW6's is one of the best battles in the game. The traps are a great standout feature. While it's fun to play on both sides, I believe it's more fun playing as Wu. Not only do you have those traps to deal with, you need to engage in a siege battle to get into the castle. Siege battles are my favorite new addition in DW6, so being able to do one was a huge bonus for me.

I like this stage. It is always huge, challenging, and fun. My favorite versions of it are definitely in DW3 and DW6. They have the most epic feel and best music for it.

Except from how much fun fighting on the belt trap was and is in 6, 3 tended to have more cutscenes and challenges present. Though they were not tough to defeat (I doubt anyone wall fall into the vortex trap unless they were after the middle prize or manage to happen to be there before it occured. ) Plus even fighting on the bridge was great fun for a while. What more than to fight the dangerous warrior Gan Ning and fly away from Xu Zhu into the annoying pit to have to navigate to the top of the stairs to be knocked down again...? And of course there was the archer trap and the arrow walls which took its time to reach the end unless mounted. A few critical situations available if you weren't awake enough.

He Fei castle is my all time favorite battle in both DW3 and DW6. It was ok in DW5 but the lack of fun traps (all there really was is those fire breathing statues that wear easy to avoid) made not stand out as much for me.

In DW6 the belt trap is one of my overall highlights of playing DW games.

He Fei Castle is one of my favorite stages of all time. In DW5, the fire breathing statues are too slow and easy to avoid. Pretty much strategies to be overcome but very easy. Overall, the stage is... hmm... okay.

DW6 he fei castle is simply VERY FUNNY!!!!!!!The conveyor belt that rolled Wu sodiers down the pool or pond or bowl or whtever thing make me laugh till I get killed the next second! If dificultly I think Wei is easier to play cause is really easy to protect the three traps and fnish the Wu easyily while Wu still need to besiged the castle then finished traps then Cao Cao....

I enjoy playing these stage especially in DW6 Wei side since I can easily clear the two traps on the western side then rush down to Sun Quan and kill him without any problems.

amazing level, i love dw3 one and dw6, i think it was in 4, it was the last fight against wei.... it had small traps that were easy to avoid and it had the small, small conveyer belt,
dw5 was eh.... but 6 was amazing, if it was a bigger castle and had all the traps from 3 it would have been perfect, just perfect. the conveyer belt was so much fun and it is such a difficult level for wu. ( i can only ever finish it with me and sun quan left lol)
