For me I preferred the SW1 version to 2's because you had many tasks such as finding Magoichi in the cavern, talking to Ranmaru, not letting Nobunaga in Mt. Tennoh, plus its used in some gaidens.

The SW2 one just didn't impress me too much. I really can't think of a highlight about it except the good music and me liking Hideyoshi much more in SW2.

I find the SW2 Yamazaki way too easy, even on hard. I prefer the SW1, because It takes longer to beat, and there's different stories to it, like Takeda, Tokugawa, Oda, Akechi, and Toyotomi. And also the tasks you had to do.

I liked the SW1 version better than the SW2 version. The SW2 looks to simple and easy. The SW1 looks better, darker and ominous.

I never played SW1 but I played SW2. I don't mind the stage too easy.
My thoughts are pointing to such a violent world.

Honestly, the SW1 version. The SW2 one is too easy, especially if you get to the cannons, in the SW1 version however, there are caves swarming with enemy officers and there are different versions of the stage, which is a big plus in my book.

It had awful music, a boring scenery, and more non-historical stories than historical stories.

I love SW1 Yamazaki. The creepy music really helped set the mood of the battle. Tense and unnerving. I also liked how it felt a lot more "kill or be killed" between Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide. The first one seemed to stress just how desperate this battle was. The SW2 version is decent, but doesn't live up to the original. It's just far too simple to make a beeline to Mt. Ten-oh, and then tear through the enemy ranks. The music was nice, but went in a completely different direction than SW1. Too peppy for my taste. The SW2 version just didn't capture that sense of peril the original did.
